The One-Armed Chef is a travel and food show like no other, fronted by a host like no other. Giles Duley is a photographer, humanitarian and chef, and he indulges all of those passions in this documentary series. In it, he meets or reunites with people around the world who have lived through extraordinary struggles or experiences, and occasionally he just meets people making amazing food.

Absolute gem of a documentary. As a French, I have to say that the Italian chef, speaking perfect french with a thick italian accent and congolese intonation was one the WILDEST things I ever heared in my entire life. People are amazing !

To me as a Congolese chef I truly enjoyed this documentary. The Italian chef is emblematic of how our cultures are globalizing...Italian speaking french with a Congolese intonation blending congolese products into Italian cuisine. He is in Goma where most westerner would rather not be but yet he is thriving and changing the narrative!

His accent face and expressions are remarkable similar to the poet and genius in Asterix obelix & cleopatta movie played by Edouard Baer 😂

I love Congolese people and culture, they are so eccentric! Also, let's no overlook the guy sharing his story of how he got disfigured in the Congo war, I have family members that survived war and the effects are horrible. I'm pro rehabilitation for war victims in the most holistic way possible ✊🏿.

What a wonderful documentary. The Chef is such a kind man who has a real gift at lifting the spirits of beautiful people who have lived through trauma. His love of people through their food is so warm and genuine. If everyone had such a spirit of adventure and appreciation for life, the world would be so much better.
