Each person's eyes are different. So no eye doctor can tell you with absolute certainty how it may affect your eyes and or what kind of complications you may personally develop.
I agree with you. A person can have lasik done today and see perfectly but can develop complications down the road. I have seen it happen. And glasses are in style.
@@ady007pl If the procedure was a smart thing to do for those with a lot of lose, those surgeons would be doing it for each other. The risks are simply crazy because it is elective. It isn’t a surgery you are doing to save your life. Yet it has the potential to end it.

@@stevemoore-nx8cq Honestly I wonder what's actually wrong with the procedure. Is it that doctors are being greedy and performing on unsuitable candidates? Is it an error with the person performing the surgery? I just can't understand how it was approved in the first place if it's so dangerous
yeah they're not going to take a surgery away from consumers that a hundred thousand people benefit from because 10 of those 100,000 have issues. Since it's all negativity here I'll just throw in my incredible experience with PRK. Couldn't do anything without contacts or glasses and now I wake up and don't even think twice about my vision because it's perfect.
Its psychology, you should see the comment sections of favorable videos. People are ANGRY that people terri l'y affe ted are warming them, they wanna be in fheir denjal.
@@Sunrise-fr9jb Same issue. Contacts get get dislodged creating blurred vision or you can even lose one from blunt force impacts. The also become dry and uncomfortable for prolonged use so imagine wearing them for 12 hours shift.
@@chrisvig123That is a good point. There was a documentary on Lasik and one man who saw perfectly for 2 years noticed his vision regressing and then had to go back to wearing glasses. A woman who also had Lasik in the documentary had the same problem 7 years after her procedure
