The Fairfield Horseshoe is one of those walks that most Lake District lovers have heard of but perhaps not walked it. This is a classic horseshoe ridge walk that offers up magnificent views every step of the way.
It's been on my son Josh's radar for a long time so we thought it would be appropriate to get out there and do it.
We were feasted on by a gazillion horseflies and midges, ran out of water and Finn did something we will never get over! All in all a grand day in the fells!

Total ascent: 1064m / 3491ft
