I was at this gig, the sound in the Hacienda was always questionable but this was mesmeric, I'm right at the front and just before my 19th birthday. Thanks for this!

@@TheChadTI it was about 90 minutes i recall, well before MES got way too drunk to say anything, its was about 50p those days to go and see The Fall, I've still got all the tickets and posters

I was at this thing. Must have been about 17 or 18 at the time. Sound at the Hacienda was bloody awful , so echoey.. .. . .. Brix was the highlight for me though. (can't remember much else.) Brix

Read Brix's autobiography "The Rise, the Fall, and the Rise." Particularly the part where she describes when she first heard The Fall and played Slates over and over. It is the perfect description of why you don't really need to know everything MES is on about.
