Hello Chris. If there's any information I got wrong in the video I implore you to let me know. Despite my feelings towards your previous behavior, I did end up enjoying some of the music I listened to, and I strived to be as fair and in depth as possible in terms of telling your band's story
Great retrospective of the band and it's subsequent downfall. You know you're doing something right when the very band in question comments on your video. Which, in my mind, is both an accomplishment all in itself, to get the attention of a globally known and recognized band. But also, further proves that any disparaging thoughts or options derived by the video are factually true. Proof of this? The context of Chris's low-brow comment he left on this video lol Some people just can't get out of their own way... Once again, great video.
Trapts tweet about being in the Tony hawk game wasn’t photoshopped he tweeted that. He was lying on purpose and going along with it just for attention lol
I found no evidence for the tweet being real in my research, and I kind of doubt its real based on the tweets wording. If you have a source for this information it would be greatly appreciated
Honestly, I can't decide between either Trapt or Puddle Of Mudd having the largest downfall in Modern Rock history. I guess Trapt wins out by default since Wes Scantlin is smart enough to not share his politics or engage with random trolls on the internet, But at the same time Puddle Of Mudd was a far bigger band than Trapt were and have degraded in quality so bad that you just have to wonder wtf happened and who allowed it. Like at least with Trapt for as bland as their music is, You can't really argue that they degraded in quality much and Chris Taylor Brown doesn't sound like he strains everytime he sings. But with Puddle Of Mudd it's the total opposite, Their comeback album "Welcome To Galvania" wasn't that bad (Though it was noticeably worse in production than previous releases) and it did produce a Top 10 Mainstream Rock hit in "Uh Oh", But their most recent album "Ubiquitous" is nothing short of a complete disaster. A bunch of demos lazily stitched together and thrown out with zero polish. Idk if you've considered it or not but Puddle Of Mudd would be an interesting rabbit hole to dive into, It's basically never ending.
I could've sworn that so much of what you said about Trapt's sophomore record was the same as what you said about Smash Mouth's self-titled... was this intentional??

I like a few of their songs from their albums, it’s too bad that he couldn’t keep his big mouth shut and his opinions to himself, it pains me in a way that Trapt was a part of my music journey into rock music and eventually getting me to like heavier music as a Teenager, I’ll still jam to a handful of Trapt songs every now and then but this whole situation with the lead singer is just sad and I don’t agree with most of the dudes takes either, man 2020 was a fever dream there was definitely something in the water
I actually really love Trapt, I couldn’t pick a song of theirs that I don’t like at least a little bit. The lead singer speaks his mind and I can appreciate that even if I don’t agree, everyone’s got different opinions though. Nickelback is arguably way, way worse. The Trapt self titled album is completely overshadowed by its first track but I think this is one of my most favorite albums ever, I’d put it next to Read Music/Speak Spanish (Desaparecidos)and The Anti Mother (Norma Jean) in my top 3 albums of all time
Fire, End of my rope, come together colab with an0maly are epic and they got a lot more and to start the vid with nickelback who has excelled tremendously aside from any hate both are incredible bands and music is expression so is free speech so to judge to band by a personal belief of the lead is ridiculous either like the music or don’t and move on while they rock on
Do you even know what "free speech" means??? It's means freedom from repercussions from the government. It DOES NOT mean freedom from other individuals from judging you for your absolute shit takes about the things you choose to do/say. The only "people" that think its "ridiculous" are their little fanboys who would be eager for their favorite band to line up to prolapse them. You live in a fantasy where no one should critique anything, especially the stuff you like.
