We tend to look at science as the only viable lens through which to view the world but this is a mistake. Hope you enjoy the video.

I've been reading Fritjof Capra's the Tao of Physics, and he emphasizes a more holistic and systematic view of the natural world, rather than the traditional mechanistic worldview. I think that there is a lot of truth to what he says, and science is slowly changing to adapt to this new paradigm.

Yeah. Of course science can make mistakes, that’s the whole point. Science also corrects those mistakes over time. There is no need for spirituality or any other bullshit. You’re wrong.

Yep, this video is stupid and ignores that the point of science is to have empirically grounded opinions rather than guess work based on how you feel The real guesswork is spirutual -ity Science can help us understand the human psyche and human interconnectedness as well, as evidenced by neuroscience. and I think the greatest meaning we can have is in this interconnectedness we can only find meaning in this world by understanding it properly That is the eternal Joy of science

@@123gobruhhhh4: There is no meaning in science. All it does is describe how mechanical and predictable the universe behaves. What joy? It’s dry, dull, and boring having to sit through hearing about it. If anything, it empties the universe of more meaning with every discovery. Also, science is like an unfinished sidewalk, an unfinished symphony, or an incomplete sentence. Not everyone likes to be left hanging in midair. And a lot of what’s studied is pointless and wastes tons of money that could be put to better uses. The things science discovers, especially recently, is about as interesting as a door stop on a tree stump. Who cares if it’s based on empirically-grounded opinions? It still means nothing. The very fact it makes mistakes, sometimes big ones, makes science all the more frustrating to deal with. Why would anyone want to feel comfortable with this type of uncertainty? It’s very unsettling, and there are not enough years in a person’s life to be waiting around for every correction…only to find out even the corrections themselves were wrong. It can’t be be fully trusted. So what’s really stupid? Who’s really wrong? Science helps to do nothing but pile on burdens of junk knowledge that will more than likely be shown as inaccurate and obsolete later…knowledge that’s not even necessary for most people anyway. There are more relevant things to know about.

@@123gobruhhhh4: Apparently someone deleted my comment. There *is no* joy in science. It’s dead and alienating.
