Sure, but it survives 200yrs in the open air and no one ever takes it down? What I will say is that the day of Halloween likely has a certain memorial purpose in that it was this last holiday before it all changed.
Legit, all I want from the update is stable fps throughout the entire game and fsr/dlss support, I really dont give af about a mini enclave questline, Piggy bank launcher or some Halloween decorations.
Their shitty engine's unoptimized shadow draw calls are the reason why fps is low in Boston and certain parts of the game, there is no way they fixed the creation engine, it would be so much work
I wish the Crash Triangle just above the Goodneighbor area is fixed. That areas is pretty much a guaranteed crash on Xbox. Also an area is far Harbor is completely Borked in my game with houses, road, everything textures vanishing. Even tested it with just the cheat terminal to speed up my access to it and no other mods active and same crap, so it's not mod related
Besides disabling auto update on Steam, I would suggest backing up the entire install folder so if there is an accidental update you can simply overwrite it with that.
I just got GOTY on GoG for $10 soon after hearing of new patch, and moved my entire modlist there. GoG not only doesn't force updates, their client allows you to handpick game version you want to install.
We are getting Fo3 and Oblivion remakes from Bethesda, and from what I hear semi-recently (a year ago), Obsidian's team was hired on for something, no confirmation on what they are working on though.
If F4SE is listed as a requirement on the mods page. This Update will kill that mod. Then the mod will be unusable until the mid author updates the mod.
Odd that the Tesla Canon is being added as part of the Enclave pack. The Tesla Canon wasn't made by the Enclave, it was made by the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood of Steel. It would have made more sense for it to be a New Vegas style Plasma Caster.
@@MrSnivvel Yeah. The tesla canon was a prewar prototype weapon. In FO3 Broken Steel, The BoS obtain a prototype and mass produce it for the Enclave/BoS war. It served as a counter measure against the vertibird.
@@henrymapleton Not surprised since the Enclave knew where most of the good prewar stuff was stored at. We see this in Broken steel when the enclave was going for the prototype too but we beat them to it first.
There's reasons to believe there was multiple copies of the schematics to build the tesla weapons so the Enclave having them is not really canon breaking.
This is the Vanilla + combo * Everyone's Best Friend *Start Me Up Redux * Start Me Up Redux Nuka World Patch * Danse Dilemma * Father Companion - Alternate Ending * Subversion - The Institute Railroad Alliance Alternate Ending
Start Me Up Redux is known to have issues with a ton of mods. You're better off using SKK's startup mods if you don't care about quest dialogue being edited to fit your role play
They gonna add that suit from Old world blues dlc that heals you over time? I would love for that to happen when you play survival mode. Even add all of the items from Old world blues to fallout 4.
Still playing this game for settlement building, I just recently made sanctuary into a hybrid between a small dam and walled off settlement in vanilla. After that jump to CP2077 or HD2 or CoffeeTalk 2 😂
The settlement building is awesome in this game. I’ve been wanting to play this now that I have it on Xbox(yay for good mods). I guess I’m coming back the 25th.
@@environm3ntalist549 yea sadly i stopped playing Starfield after encountered few game breaking bugs 😢 also the atmosphere felt kinda different when u compare the two, i think imma wait till they iron out the detes and the bugs out 😢
I really hope you're right about hidden content we're not seeing - like, this NG update feels pretty underwhelming in regards to new content. I'll gladly welcome the bug fixes and a possible performance boost, but this info dump doesn't really make me feel anything else but "is that it?" Skyrim got tons of new armor sets, new dungeons to loot, homes to live in and plenty more in the AE of the game. I guess that after waiting two(+) years for this, I was expecting stuff like new or old guns (the 10mm SMG, the R91 and something akin to an AR15) and returning features like cybernetic enhancements.
Kinda feel like they shoulda did some sorta event for fallout 76 where players are still playing before they update a game that’s 10 years old at this point and had no kind of multiplayer. Just my opinion. We already kept this game alive with mods anyways.
I wish the visual and quality of life mods didn't disable achievements. Like the darker nights, official fallout 4 patch, and True Storms all disable achievements. The same could be said for the mods that add decorations or radio stations. I always hate knowing my achievement progress is gonna be stuck where it was prior to console mods because it's kinda hard to go back to vanilla Fallout after experiencing it with mods. Perhaps after this update, I'll just start a new playthrough without mods. I really don't have a choice considering they'll all be out of date anyway.
So options are.. break all your mods and bring fallout 4 back to the stone age and get some skins and a few weapons... Or just ignore all of this and continue to hapily play your modded game... Easy choice.
I never used mods anyway. I’ve thought about it but I feel like the game already offers so much within itself. Still I understand how mods can make the game more fun to play
Some advice, the vanilla game is kinda mediocre [but if you wanna go through the vanilla game before trying mods, that's always a good idea] when it comes to choices and roleplaying. On both consoles and PC, there are a set of mods that improve that without ruining the vanilla feel of the game, they are: * Start Me Up Redux * Start Me Up Redux Nuka World Patch * Danse Dilemma * Father Companion - Alternate Ending Option * Subversion - The Insitute Railroad Alliance Alternate Ending Essentially, these mods all work together (they are compatible, and integrate in with eachother), and give you more options and even restore some cut options that Bethesda had originally intended to be in the main story.
For anyone that comes across this, no this doesn't include Fallout 4 VR *but* I think we can expect much of the content can be brought over like with Skyrim VR (or any of Fallout 4's DLC for that matter).
The show has me very ready to hop back in. Haven’t played the dlcs, so it’s time I think. Hope London isn’t hit too hard. It looks phenomenal and I am excited to see what that team has in store for us.
I hope they eventually add in cut content like 20 leagues under the sea. Or a cc content that adds a giant mutant kraken lurking somewhere in the ocean.
As a PlayStation user, I hope they fix that 0kb glitch that's caused by anything from the creation club that adds new paint jobs to pre-existing weapons and armor is fixed when this update comes
They are definitely preparing more content for creation club. However question remains did they make the game more stable on consoles like my Playstation.
@@sireffortlessgarbage7922 you speak like a humanoid, if you buy parts individually it can cost only 500 or less. meantime people who have the money for next gen consoles can spend the money on parts, longterm it would be worth it. you can endlessly upgrade a pc, consoles go out of date almost every year. if you have the money to keep up with consoles, you have the money for a pc, end of story. stop defending laziness and giving game developers the excuse to pump out halfassed products so that they could function on lesser gaming platorms.
@@sireffortlessgarbage7922 so many games are released that are handicapped so that they could function on consoles, and you're supporting that with your rhetoric.
It looks like bundled together pre-existing creation club content with a few unreleased things. The 'quests' if you can even call them that for the Enclave stuff, specifically the X-03 and Incinerator, are nothing more than a fetch quest, and a 'go fight this forged raider guy' quest. The x-02 armor, has a bit more to it, with a dungeon and some lore iirc though. Nothing special though.
Started a private server on 76 today to hold me off and wow I'm impressed with how good it is solo compared to when i played it openly at launch. Night and day. Opening was a bit slow but damn it holds up well and i ended up forgetting it was even an online game. I'll be ready to get back into the still ( imo ) superior 4 when it comes out with a ps5 update in a couple weeks
Something Bethesda needs to do is COMPLETELY recreate the Boston area to be more like DC in fallout 3. Where each section is its own zone only accessible through the metro and other means. I mostly say this due to crashing
That’s sounds dumb… the open navigation is great and I started with F3 when I had a 360. As much as I loved F3 … F4 is the evolution idk why it gets so much hate. They took the things in new Vegas that did well and applied it to F4… also brought back the dark gritty setting vs the bright and shiny Mojave.
I hope they fix the glitch/bug (without the need for 3rd party/modders intervention) where multiple explosions may occur and to a degree that crashes the game if you're nearby or looking in the direction of the explosions. That horrid noise will forever haunt my dreams.
I expect no update for Fallout 4 VR, since abandoned it immediately after release. I really wish they would give it some love because I switched to the VR version permanently, since the level of immersion is insane.
I hope the Fallout London team releases both the current and updated versions of the mod, that way those of us that dont update fo4 can still play it. Also, Bethesda knew what was going on, yet chose to blindside the London team rather than give them a heads up. Not cool.
They're not doing two releases, there's a statement on RU-vid about them delaying the release, and they're not sure till when ,could take days ,could take months ,sour grapes on Bethesda behalf because fallout London is shaping up to be a better game than star field although that's not hard
Never played a single fallout maybe I will heard the show is kickass. I’m glad you guys are getting the respect your franchise deserves coming from a suffering halo fan
i honestly hope this update fixes the crashing issue happening to me in the far harbour dlc. edit: or i think far harbour is doing it because it starts happening whenever i go there and it carries outside of the dlc too which is VERY annoying.
@@Allegro_Giustoi heard that the update will break mostly all mods that require F4SE which is a PC modding feature for fo4, and since playstation mods are just vanilla tweaks for the most we should be fine I think.
Well, one of the good things of all the mods potentially breaking is, that i finally can clean up my modlist AND do a clean re-install for every mod. Was basicly running a "Oh it works? Well then i play."-thing since Nexus Mod Manager changed to Vortex so its about fucking time that i do a massive cleanup. Especially with Fallout London coming in the future, even when the Next-Gen Update basicly delayed it for weeks if not months. (What i like since i totally support the decision of the Fallout London makers to not release a mod that may break two days later because of a sudden patch.)
the problem is, with many mods the creators might not be working with FO4 anymore, so some might completly break with no fixes until someone steps up and create a new one
Was getting ready to do another play through in FO4. Did Skyrim, FO3 and FO New Vegas complete play through's. Guess ill wait a bit. This is AWESOME news !!
OK top three things I want. 1. Fix the bloody zero kilobits bug! 2. Add living trees! 3. 60 fps Suggestion: more options like increase damage without also hit points. Also we know Fallout 76 is a modded Fallout 4 so add 76 buyable content to creation club? Suggestion. Update engine to 76 without multi-player of course....
Good points. Yeah the first one hurts. They were able to fix the bug on Skyrim, I am hoping they can on 4 as well. As for other stuff, I guess it depends on how long they want to support the game.
Fallout 3, 4 and 76 are all set on the East Coast. NV is the only west 'coast' game done since the Black Isles days. I'd like it if the next Fallout game was not East Coast. Honestly a game set in the ruins of Chicago would be cool. Or set in Occupied Canada, or in Mexico's Lower Six states. A heavily radioactive Colorado and the missile silos buried in deep bunkers. Or go north of the NCR and explore Oregon. Or go South and explore the entire Mississippi river. Heck, set one game at Saint Louis, and then open up more of the river as DLC, then more inland areas as further expansions.
Todd Howard has basically admitted he hates New Vegas + the devs wants nothing to do with it anymore. He literally denied Obsidian’s (New Vegas devs) royalties from the game because it barely missed the profit goal.
@@shaunkennedy174 Todd did Obsidian even dirtier than that. Todd didn't chose the best version of New Vegas that Obsidian provided on purpose because he wanted it to miss those goals.
The broken mods shouldn’t be to bad of a fix. Most small ones that’ll add standalone armour and weapons should be as simple updating the game version which anyone could do if a mod author has retired, a simple RU-vid search should suffice. For more larger and invasive mods like fallout London or sim settlements we’ll probably have to wait until the devs sort them out. Overall though this update is a good thing, the enclave is a nice addition and optimisation is always a good thing especially if you’re playing with amazing mods that do push the engine to its limits. As a quick note keep an eye for what creation club content breaks because this is Bethesda no doubt they won’t really update those if the break straight away. It can give you guys an idea of what type of content the update touches. As an example of an armour doesn’t break more than likely your armour mods will only need that updated game version.
I plan my first playthroug of F4. I just want Sim Settlements to be working. I don't want to mess around with building everything with my own hands. And it seems like this mod makes this part of game more entertaining.
Hope they fix the Tunnel Snakes DLC which completely F's up the storyline and makes Cogsworth unable to be a companion. You have to manually delete the files on PC then put them back and Cogsworth still acts weird even after that.
Well, it was a good idea for me to get into Fallout 4: GtoY Edition back in November. It was like one of those impeccable timings. Now with even more content on the way, it's the perfect time to be in the Commonwealth.
I hope the chameleon armor gets fixed. I generally sneak around when I’m adventuring and it drives me insane how it kicks in and off with every little movement.
ESO forgot to mention but quality mode for 4k will have only 30 fps, so if you want 60 fps, go for performance mode at 1080p. 4k will not get higher fps than 30 fps like Starfield. Boston should be fixed though.
I'm kind of excited to hear that the game is getting an update it's been a few years since I played, and since then I've got a better graphics card with more vram. I can't wait to check out the mods scene again.
Would've been nice if they finally increased the console mod limit from 2gb to something larger. I mean I play the games on PC but honestly Skyrim and Fallout 4 are just so much easier to mod on console. The storage limit is the only thing that kills it for me.
Glad you mentioned Fallout London. Bethesda just needs to reach out to them and make it an officially support mod. For now it is delayed and we're not sure when it will release because of all the changes the new update brings.
Fucking hell how many Updates and DLC is this going to have!? I mean I'm not complaining, I'll have a lot of shit to go through when I get to it But I mean damn man
They should still release the London mod. So that people have 2 days to download it. And then p c players can turn off the update thing, and it'll be preserved in that way
This works out well for me, I’ve not installed any fallout 4 mods because I’ve only put a couple hours into it, this will be a great opportunity to begin anew
Agreed, it really hurts the game currently. It is tied to the creation club people figured out. They were able to fix it for Skyrim anniversary edition I am hoping this game will follow suit.
Let's hope this update will fix automatron breaking a lot of quests And the extreme lag spike going back to sanctuary when you have a large base with 15+ power armor suits
