The Fallout Show Isn't Great... It's OKAY 

Just to clear things up for anyone confused because I can easily tell many people have ironically not watched the whole video... I said I liked it multiple times, gave it a solid 6/10 (That's above average for me), I had issues with it but I didn't hate it and I wish season 2 the best. It's fine if you disagree and want to claim it's the greatest video game adaption ever made.

Blood makes me nauseous, and yet the show was so compelling all the way through, that i managed to continue watching it through all the blood scenes. The way all 3 characters came together perfectly, there were so many questions perfectly being answered, really good cgi. The way they perfectly recreated the feelings of the games. The fact that they stayed true to cannon. There are 100s of references to the games. This show was genuinly amazing. There were some cringy parts but all in all it was great.

The show is solid, 8/10. Walter Goggins absolutely dominated every scene he was in, to the point where I completely agree with the decision to change how the ghouls look just for him. The Vault-tec experiment in 31/32/33 was exactly the sort of stupid/horrifying experiment that the vaults were known for. The main flaws were the reliance on member-berries for all the fans, Godd Howard interfering with the plot bc he wanted the best ideas for Fallout 5, and Titus being so terrible that it broke my sense of disbelief.

Lmao at all these people who scream that the bro is a hater. All his points were valid. While Fallout is a good and enjoyable show it's not perfect of course. Most of people didn't watch the video and jumped straight into comments. And regarding the power armor - I read this scene as if Finn had no prior power armor training (like in Fallout 3/NV) that he didn't know how to move properly so he stuck there.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the part with dogmeat getting healed by Cooper and just being totally fine with following him like he didn't just get done trying to maul him. After all the kindness he was given by that scientist and seeing him get his foot blown off, all it took was one stimpak for him to be like, whoa man, didn't know you was chill like that. They should've had him try to earn his trust first at least or had the dog immediately take off after him and Lucy and track them down that way.

I'm pretty sure that the "headless man walking" is an in-joke for a game bug. I don't know if I've seen it in Fallout, maybe in NV, but I've seen it dozens of times in Skyrim. Beheading sword perk triggers, head pops off, then the NPC just continues fighting. Once I've even cut off a character's head TWICE, as the perk triggered on the headless NPC again.

I mostly agree. That scene with the power armour weakness had me too. I thought maybe it was a different model but didn't care enough to check. Also since brotherhood of steel operate in 'chapters' and divisions so It's ok to assume this particular division isn't one of the better ones and the leader even says it has lost it's way. anyway, Its a good show, it's not amazing. Loads of people emotionally attached to the show and can't handle a different opinion is funny though.

I’m glad I’m not the only one willing point out how fucking ridiculous (and not in a good fallout kinda way) the power armor “weakness” is and the fact they have literal headlamps and don’t use them. And where was the mention of China at all in the show? When they were the other main belligerent to the nuclear war. Oh right, communism good now and capitalism bad, got it. To me the show is a solid 7-7.8. Compared to Halo, it is 12/10. Compared to let’s say, Arcane, maybe a 6-7.

ghoul story line is perfect; seamless blending of lore/character development/background , had a great character usher us into the ground zero of the fallout story effortlessly, no ham-fisted info or dialogue dumps, a massive reveal that is only hinted at in the game's further opening the lore, all neatly wrapped up in a great espionage/conspiracy story of a red blooded American watching the things he fought for and championed be revealed to be a sham. The rest is building into something but sidetracked a lot and will need a 2nd season to breath. But the ghoul storyline was perfect in its own right and alone makes the show at least a 7 or 8 (10 for a video game adaptation)

Cooper knew he was inexperienced, he jokes about it when he gets his foot stuck, he is literally laughing at him to his face not aiming and just shooting clearly he was toying with him, also very common thing in scripts it is a little annoying but since the audience doesn’t know Cooper yet they have to play it off or simply ignore it and hope their reveal is shocking enough for the audience to keep them engaged and not think about it.

Welcome to being ahead of the curve. This Fallout show is going to undergo the same slow dawning of realization that The Force Awakens did. At first, everyone claps & barks like seals, praising it as wonderful and inspired. Slowly, more & more people will say it isn't great, its good or okay. Give it a few more months to a year & people will come around to realizing the show is pretty terrible. Its a Bethesda film, all right. Shallow visual references, nonsensical storytelling, & no respect for what came before Todd. It makes sense that you get Finn vibes from Maximus. Dude is a professional soldier who is following the inexperienced central character played by a generic dark-haired British woman. Maxi Chad didn't even know what his PP was for, somehow. Ridiculous. You can tell the writers really don't like the military, given the way they portray the BoS as a group of cowards & incompetents. Not only did they delete Shady Sands, they misplaced it while doing so. The Boneyard was in LA, not Shady Sands. But hey, if all you know of Fallout is what came from Bethesda, you probably won't notice. Then again, if all you know of Fallout is from Bethesda, it is likely you struggled to get this far without pictures.

This show is meh at best. It got the setting and feel of the games correct, this is true, but in order to make a good story you need more than that. Expectations are so low amongst the audience because we are conditioned into thinking it's a high bar for a video game adaptation to be authentic to its source material. Just because an adaptation does not feel completely foreign to the established canon of the universe does not make it a good series. The ghoul is pretty generic. Lucy is a fun character, but honestly more could have been done with her, and Max sucks. I truly have no idea wtf the writers were doing with Max or who he was on the most basic of levels. Also, everything they did with west tek and vault-tec and the other mega-corporations destroying the world for power was insanely dumb and I will never believe that someone with an iq over 80 would ever do that no matter how evil-business-man they are.
