I can't believe some people are actually saying the season finale was good. I can't believe our standards for this series have gotten so ridiculously low that people are starting to accept this garbage. It's fucking sad.

This show has an uncanny valley feeling about it. Any time it starts to seem the least bit normal or promising, the upside down version of Halo spins it’s head around and smiles through you like a Cheshire Cat.

HALO: THE TV SHOW show,where they use fake advertisng of posters , and nothing of it happend in the show, where more than half the cast were women acting like girl bosses, with multiple diversity couples and men being talked down by said women, where only the few men characters die, where girl bosses get more character development than the actual male spartans or the race swapped captain keyes. where the covenent only brings swords to an invasion and run around like zombies, where the rest of the covenant is no where to be found. where the arbiter has no problem killing his own race yet he turns around and lets master cheeks stand up (unless the 5'0 woman leader of the covenant yells at him to not kill him like in episode 2) where there is not a single scene of marines fighting, where the few marines they had, don't know how to turn on their flashlight in the dark....I can keep going but I will stop here

This isn't Halo, It's not even close. Who and why are they doing this to such a beloved franchise? The people who support this, are the reason we keep getting absolute garbage. It hurts.

This show is the definition of pure unfiltered slop. The writers don't give a shit. The directors don't give a shit. The actors don't give a shit. A soulless product just shat out for the lowest common denominator and NOT for fans of Halo. There is zero reason for this show to have "Halo" in the title.

Alot of tourists claiming this is good and not realizing what this could have been. If I had a dime everytime I saw "I never played the games or read the books, but im enjoying the show!"

Literally played the old Halo game to "wash the taste out of my mouth" from this show. SO MUCH SOURCE MATERIAL, and they adapted none of it to make a stronger saga.

That last bit "They took my image, bent it for their own purpose. So I took it back. This armor doesn't belong to them, it belongs to me." Makes me feel on the meta level the show writers/makers talking to fans saying F you this belongs to us.

The people that think this show any good is the reason we won’t ever get any good tv shows people standards suck

The interesting thing about this show: I get so happy when any of the "show" characters die or is in a position they at least might die. I'm honestly rooting for the Flood here, wish the grave mind would just consume everyone and free us from this Monument to All Their Stupidity

I remember when a season had 20-25 episodes and how now days they have shortened seasons to 10 episodes for this generation that loses attention fast. That being said, this show should be canceled as it is a disgrace to the Halo franchise. I feel 343 is basically another Disney handed an incredible franchise like Star Wars and just exploiting as much money as they can get off the name alone.

But then he gets to the ring. Kills the arbiter but lets Mackee live. But then when the UNSC appears in the ring, he says "oh that's a problem". Bro what the fuck am I watching? Am i really supposed to turn my brain off and just accept everything i see on screen? WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS HAPPENING TO TELEVISION?

Fans of the show always say “the show is actually really good” or something similar, but can never say what it is that they like about it because it can’t be the writing, or the action scenes that mostly happen offscreen or the original characters..

How can anyone think this is at least passable as a TV show is beyond me.

In halo 2 he has the chip in his helmet the entire time. SgtMaj. Johnson removes it from his helmet at the beginning of 3, Masterchief takes it back after waking up and remembers his promise to Cortana. In the games the chip thingy is Cortana's way of using Chief's armor systems. In the show, it makes no sense, she can go wherever she wants if the plot needs her to.

I feel like Season 2 is just main universe Ackeron's fanfic. The dude gets put in charge of the spartan program, captures halsey, captures soren, decks to dick around with chief pointlessly for like 4 eps, still gets his spartan III program, has a new tragic backstory with his sister, gets more focus on his personal life with his father, and at the end of the day, gets to be a hero

It's very clear from the portrayal of the flood that the writers were told the flood were zombies. ALMOST ANY Halo fan could have told them otherwise. Please Microsoft cancel this abomination of a show.

Denis Villeneuve should direct a halo movie. Loosely follow the events of halo one. Starts at the pillar of autumn arriving at halo. Doesn’t have to be canonically accurate but should be thematically, aesthetically, and tonal consistent to halo 1. Steve Downes as voice of chief. Keep chief off screen for the most part. When he is on screen do him right. Follow Sargent J or some other squad around for the most part. Horror elements ramped up the whole time.

The funny thing is I have hated the show so far and I recognize all of the plot contrivances, understand all of the things they’ve fumbled, but the one thing I genuinely disagree with a lot of people about is the Flood. People are mischaracterizing the infection as being inaccurate, but this is the first visual representation of a spore outbreak we’ve seen, and considering many of them mutate within an hour, I genuinely am happy with at least that. I’m not excusing the show, or the finale. My ultimate point in this wall of text is simply to say that I have hope that they’re headed in a more agreeable direction. I don’t think it’s right for people to hate on others for having hope. Opinions are something we can’t do anything about, but I also think that some of the people who despise the show refuse to accept anything, whether it has good or bad implications. Honestly the community makes me almost as sad as the show does.

I don't understand why they brought the Flood into the story so soon, the war with the Covenant has barely started but no quick we need to move onto to next humanity ending species.And it's so annoying that we still have to rely on lazy writing with characters being so incredibly dumb to get the plot to work. I do love the through line of Master Chief always bailing out on his fellow soldiers after briefly fighting along side them. Also yeah why does M/C even care about Cortana he never seemed to even like her that much certainly not enough to risk his life/mission.

That awkward moment when the reviews critiquing the episodes are way better than what Paramount releases.

What is truly AMAZING about this show is that it actually got made. What I mean is imagine being given the Star Wars of this Generation, a Golden Goose, a license to PRINT MONEY.....because that's what Halo is. Imagine being given all of that and still utterly failing. This show is like spiking the Ball at the finish line, like kicking the Soccer Ball over the net when the Goalie is lying prostate ten feet from the Goal, like two Heavyweight Boxers nocking each other out simultaneously with the first Punch in the first round of a Championship fight. Any half decent adaptation of the source material would have lead to Game of Thrones levels of ratings and marketing tie ins with action figures, T shirts and an infinite numbers of products. The Actors, Directors and Producers would have become household names with career opportunities falling from the sky. This show could have paid for Paramount's budget for the next DECADE !!! They had all that opportunity and they left it all on the table and for what? Girl bosses with plot armour, an Alienated Fan base, ruined careers Flood zombies ripped off from the last of us and most importantly ....no money.... The only saving grace of this show is that in five years no one will remember it at which point hopefully someone at least Simi talented with half a brain can reboot it..... Jesus Christ what a missed opportunity.

I liked the flood scenes, in my mind the slower infection makes sense, considering this was a spore infection which we have not seen before. This is almost even a pre feral stage infection.

Was it even explained how Makee was alive in this series when she (apparently) died at the end of the last series? This was such a wasted show. But expected cause it needed to be heavy on CGI so would be expensive. But if thats the case then dont make it at all until you have the budget.

I wish that Neill Blomkamp‘s Halo movie supposed to come out in 2009 wasn’t canceled by Microsoft. As much as I love district 9 the movie he made instead, It would be better than a low budget TV show that felt like it was written but an 11 year old. Honestly an Insult to 11 year olds. I wish we got what the last of us tv show did and gave us one Episode For every Level of Halo CE. There is also the novel halo the flood. You could Include characters from the novel like Melissa McKay, Antonio Silva and Zuka Zanamee. It ruined the spartan IIs the IIIs , the fall of reach and the flood. It even ruined race swapped Captain Keyes death. Also It made the UNSC the main villains Instead of the Covenant. While the UNSC in the novels have done terrible things like killing Insurrectionists without trial, the insurrectionists also did terrible things like Nuking a City.

One day, I’ll become a very good producer and make a REAL Halo show, one that actually is about halo, one with the real flood, one with the real chief, one with the real covenant (talking about season 1 and the whole spy thing). The way the flood is shown in the TV series could definitely have been worse in my opinion. In the books, Pvt Jenkins had a very slow turn once he was infected and he actually remained semi conscious through it which is more terrifying.

They turned the Flood into Resident Evil's Plaga. And they killed off all but three of the male characters. The female characters THAT SHOULD HAVE DIED didn't. Somehow one of them returns from a shot to the freaking head! The women in this show has the thickest plot armor EVER!! Oh and the manager to make Cortana look 10,000 times worse!

Perez has the longest arc in this season. Her "character" went through the most change, cowardly-comms to spartan badass.

Really sad to see Master chief in his armor for only 1st ep, ep 7 (really short not that long), and last ep 8 ... really bummed out Vannak died from Var Gatanai the other Arbiter would've been more fitting if it was Thel Vadam the Arbiter. I felt it was a fitting end to Vannak but the war felt like it hasn't been that long or even close to the middle would've prefer him to die during those moments in time. I really like this video hope for more other content.

If they would’ve adapted the book “the Fall of Reach” it would’ve been amazing. There’s so much more than just the narrative of the game. Combining the book with the game would’ve given the show plot lines that actually mean something to the story and made a great show. It would give us the familiar stuff we know with new stuff that’s never been adapted before. The Keyes loop. Chief and Cortana testing the MKV armor. Operation Red Flag. Gamma station. Red team. Castle base. Combine it with Noble team’s story. What could’ve been…

The spike thing makes no sense. The hologram shows one thing but Ackerson says something different. Ackerson it will destroy everything in 1 million miles. That isn't even close to what the hologram shows. That shows the explosion being billions of miles if not 10's of billions. Now Admiral lady is all happy MC is around even though she wanted to end him like 30 minutes ago? The flood are zombies.... Although Kwan released them and is being influenced by the grave mind (maybe? it's hard to tell). So I found that hilarious. Punching the counsel to transfer Cortana was equally hilarious. And why didn't MC kill Makee? She was right there just throw the sword hilt at her head. Problem solved. But no, we got to leave her alive to activate the ring bc we went with the 343 version. Season 3 wont be any better. Everyone will be on the ring instead and we will have a couple episodes with mid fights.
