The maltese bread is traditionally done with a wood burning oven. The difference between most breads and the maltese bread can be simply summed up to as having a hard outer crust and a slightly soft and chewy center. This type of bread can be served with most stews, soups or on its own. The best way as mentioned in the video is to try it the Maltese way, by having it with some olive oil, tomato paste (konserva) olives and goats cheese.
You can make your own alterations as to your preference.
