The Far Lands - Pushing Minecraft to its limits 

Just realized that from poor Steve's point-of-view, the fabric of reality is dissolving before his eyes.

When you think about it, the Far Lands is eerie. Like, it’s literally the border of the world, far far away, and it just looks out of place from the rest of the world it’s surrounding, which is kinda creepy to me. It looks like a place that you’re not supposed to see/go to, and if you end up there you should turn back immediately.

The farlands. The ghostlands The deep farlands and... THE BEYOND Places we shouldn't be, places we shouldn't SEE. People dedicate their time to going on foot. Some teleport there. But. You shouldn't be there. At all.

there is a point where if you fly deep into the farlands the game would stop rendering in chunks and if you try to fly pass that point the game would instantly crash no mattter which way you go

Half life 2: We don't go to ravenholm... Minecraft: We don't go to the Farlands... kinda same isn't it?

Why did you make this so creepy

I want Mojang to add Farlands back in as an official biome that only has a chance to generate after a long distance from spawn. It should have its own twisted mobs too and creepy music. I know the Nether and The End are technically that but darnit if I'm not just a human that's only interested in the places I can't normally go.

If you go far enough in MCPE the lands become 2D...

I still come back to revisit this video from time to time because I like the dramatic horror presentation of the Far Lands, as they are in fact unsettling as a product of technical limitations.

Its not only farlands, farlands has a whole family, farther lands, fartherer lands, sky farlands, and way more.

I once spawned in the PE Farlands. It looks super weird and it resulted me in deleting the world. I still think about it because its strange that I would spawn so close.

The terrain appears blocky because the value at 12550828 is vastly larger than at 12550824, but the terrain appears smooth a bit further in because the value at one sampling point is not much smaller than the value at the next sampling point.

How did you make it to the chunk overwrite limit? I am using 64 bit java Minecraft and every time I teleport to the 32 bit integer limit my game crashes. Your computer is lagging more than mines when I go out way into the farlands but you can go further than my game.

My friend Chxclk and I tried this once before in 1.6. the school computer we used crashed to the point where it broke beyond non-replacement repair. and the best part was that we got away with it.

if in mcpe, 2.147 billion blocks from spawn is the longest world that you can reach to. You cannot teleport more than it. Just try calculating its 2^31

Some people say nobody would pass the crash zone in minecraft well my brother and 69 more people have been passed the crash zone.After you have pass the 34000000000 blocks it will take you even further to the land what is called is (the black land) its like a flat land but its black luke shadow minecraft is truly infinite but entities does not spawn anymore and so on the black land would start to fade and then boom no crash it just send you back where you come from at the center of the minecraft world eventually iam using 64 bit windows xp10

Can you make a video on how to install the SPC mod that got you to this? I remember when back in 2014 I used to get it right and created many farlands videos including farlands snapshots. But now it seems the .jar folder is replace the SPC elements with META-INF. I no longer like minecraft anymore but the Farlands would always be interesting.

Java edition is going to go to at least a billion blocks out in 1.17, they are fixing bigs that happen well after the world border so i think they will remove it
