The farlands where a happy accident, they should put them back in, maybe even along with structures and mobs that spawn specifically in the farlands. While they weren't intended they've carved a legacy larger then even the nether or the end, they should be in the game, #bringbackfarlands who's with me!?

Never heard of the farlands until Minecraft: Story Mode. I thought they were just myth for the sake of the story, I had no idea it was a generation glitch. But now that the glitch is fixed, they're gone! I feel like they should make it an actual biome. Imagine the generated structures they could make for it, and the mobs too. The possibilities are as endless as Minecraft's building system.

I feel like if the far lands are officially added to Minecraft, they need some kind of story, like they’re the border between different Minecraft worlds.

When you spoke and showed the terrain at the beginning before you showed the farlands makes me miss old minecraft. Well not really the game, of course of the new features make it amazing. Anyone getting flashbacks To Minecraft story mode

I remember a farland looking thing ,it doesn't have a flat surface and weird caves but a normal surface and caves that generated in my sisters flat world, when we respawned we were at a different spawn couldn't find the flat area

Fun fact the reason for the far lands is very similar to why things fall out of your house in skyrim. Is basically the way that the numbers are represented in bits - sometimes the binary doesnt quite convert properly to decimal but *most* of the time its close enough. Until you get stuff like this. the far lands have a mystical, unknown or nostalgic feeling to them, I cant put my finger on it because the emotion is so surreal.

farlands was included in story mode ;) now they must include it in normal MC, (Imagine they add stronger minecraft bosses there.)

A better fix to this bug would be to generate noise maps per chunk, and each map would have their edges be the same or similar. The seed would define which noise map to use at the first chunk, but then do an equasion on the seed and repeat that until it gives you the next noise map.

I remember back when I first started Minecraft in the days of Stampy’s lovely world, I used to think that the way you get to the end was to travel to the end of the world lol. I never got there but now I know this exists. However it might not have been updated to that at the time.

Every bedrock edition seed still have the farlands but there are so much glitched you could see underwater lava and different structures on up in the farlands if you fall down in a block also can see player nametags and falling down

now i know the simpliest answer here its becuse if the map continue to be "infinite" it will also increase the map size itself so basicly everytime u render some chunks it will increase the map size and mojang just basicly limit the map so the map size cant be bigger

Guys um i found something when i was yo but some people might already saw this but me and my sister found this glitch our self. we didn't tell anybody about it until now. when me and my sister decided to play Minecraft 1.5.2, we made a flat world and the preset is "Tunnellers dreams". we just run around, spawn mobs and blowing up stuff until we say this MASSIVE square hole. it's like 1000 by 1000 big. by curiosity, we went inside. we thought it was endless until we hit the void. we actually found land on the bottom but it's like the over world! we quickly fly upwards and decided to ignore it because were scared and also don't want see any squids. we also noticed a lot of holes on the sides of the hole if that makes sense. it can't be a chunk error because it's too big to be one. some of the trees are on fire because of the lava pouring down from the side of the hole. if you can explain what this is please reply to this comment. it remain a mystery.
