From a light novel reader's perspective, much of Gigguk's opinion is biased and probably inaccurate BUT if you look at it with an anime-only person's perspective, it is almost fully accurate. The magic arcs actually get interesting in the later parts, much of which is unreleased.

Hey! I personally watched the series in the following order (approved by me [I watched it that way] and three of my friends I introduced the series to): 1) Railgun 1 | It introduces you only to the science side at first so it doesn't get too complicated. 2) Railgun S | Like Gigguk said, Railgun S has one of the absolute early highlights of the series! 3) Index 1 | You will get an introduction to the magic system in there. Also, since you have already watched Railgun and Railgun S, it is easier to "sit through" the pretty generic first arc of Index (Episode 1 - 6) 4) Remember how I said Railgun S had one of the early highlights? This highlight is actually also adapted in Index Season 1, out of another perspective. This additional perspective doesn't add much to the arc however, so you can essentially just skip this section in Index Season 1 (or watch it if you want to). If you want to skip it, skip Episodes 10 - 14. 5) Index II | Follow-up to Index 1. Pretty simple. 6) Index III | Another direct follow up. Disclaimer: This season is paced really quickly and can seem rushed. My personal tip as an Anime only (at the time I watched it): If you don't understand something in this season, read about it either in the wiki or posts by the Reddit user "Razorhead". You can find these posts in the episode discussion threads on Reddit for each and every episode of Index III, they help A LOT and make Index III a way better experience in my opinion. 7) Accelerator | This is a side story that happens between Index 1 and Index II, however I think it is best placed after Index, because the watching experience is more fluid this way. View it as a standalone side story. 8) Railgun T | This season requires you to have watched both Index III and Accelerator to fully understand everything. It also is the most recent adaptation (and imo the best one of the three new adaptations in 2018-2020). With your knowledge of the franchise you should reeeeally enjoy this season. 9) If you still want more, you can either watch the Index Movie (Index: The Miracle of Endymion) or proceed with the written adaptations (Read "Index SS2" -> "Index Kanzaki SS" -> start with "Index New Testament" Volume 1 - 22R (This is a sequel to the story the Index anime covers that is about the same length as the story of the anime) -> go on to "Index Genesis Testament" Volume 1-?? (currently publishing and a sequel to Index New Testament) 10) Read other side story material like: - Continue with the Railgun Manga - Continue with the Accelerator Manga - Dark Matter Manga - Astral Buddy Manga - Idol Accelerator Manga I hope this helps you get into the series. If you couldn't tell while reading this: I am a big fan of the franchise and one of the "cult-spreading" people Gigguk mentioned in his video. Anyways, have fun with the series, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did/do.

Gigguk's dead wrong about Magic, Magic is confusing in the anime not by design but bad adaptation in the LN Magic is better explained than Esper powers, and tbh Esper powers themselves aren't very well explained its just the casual viewer is more likely to have basic knowledge of middle-highschool science than about the occult.

Gigguk is wrong about the computer weakness though, its more complicated than that, but that'd be a spoiler.

Like how Gigguk lies about the downsides basically, even though the anime is trash adapation Touma isn't nearly as bad as people make him out to be, I actually liked his snark.

TBH Gigguk is talking from an anime only standpoint, The Index anime was butched in its LN adaptation, just read the LN's. Half of what he says is wrong.

No he's wrong, just read the LN's instead of the Index anime, the anime is literally just a watered down version of the LN with all the depth removed and the source of most complaints on why the "magic side bad" Railgun anime is simply seen as better because it's an adaptation of the Manga which got a better adaptation.

Great!! I recommend that you watch Aniosophy's video "How to Watch: The Index / Railgun Series (2020 Update)". He explains the different watch orders and why you should follow one or the other. Either way, you will probably enjoy it :)

What he says about Touma is really subjective. Personally I love Touma and I think he's the best protagonist, even before reading the novels.

In problem about "Touma is boring", i think most people dont understand why he is boring (at least in manga & anime, i never read the novel). Its not his personality and also not his power that make him boring. Its the combination of both that make him boring. Just think about any other show that have "negate abillity" character and think how the character is. They always fucking smart or even genius. Why? Because you cant do shit with your abillity so you need to compensate it with your brain. All Touma do in fight is just block the attack and endure it until he reach the enemy and punch them out. Touma cant make a strategical move or outsmart the enemy cause thats not his character traits. Thats why many of us see him boring.
