I think the e-person trend was actually pretty beneficial for popular fashion as a whole. It introduced a lot of people to ways of putting together fits and accessory options they hadn’t thought of before. Personally, and this is a little embarrassing, I think it’s what got me into fashion in the first place

I don't know what alternate timeline this video is from, but I've never seen anyone on the streets wear most of the things mentioned in this video, besides boosts. By extension, buying whatever the current trend is, is a perfect way to just scrub any personality from your aesthetic. Buy stuff no one wants, and build your own style.

Tbh, I bought a black off white belt on a very reduced sale because I just like how I could play around fit of my jeans a bit better. I usually hide it if I can with the top, it’s totally utilitarian. Also, at the same time, I got CDG stripe t-shirt, which I still wear. I just like it, those god dam heart eyes must of brainwashed me. I do try and avoid wearing with anything too typical to what was styled back in its hype days. I wouldn’t go throwing out old items just because they out of trend. If you like them, just look at newer ways to style them. Also, when I do feel conscious of the CDG heart (for whatever reason), I wear it with a jacket, which will cover the heart. I really like how it’s sits under with my leather jacket. If CDG play really got to like UGG level of ridicule, I’d just see if a seamstress can remove or replace the logo. I love that t-shirt fit & feel too much to say bye
