i used to be deep in the fashion iceberg mentally until i just stopped caring one day, honestly focusing on style with a balance of understanding how/what you're buying is the move for me

I remember when CDG was at peak popularity, but I was too poor to afford anything from them back then. I finally got to buy a CDG cardigan earlier this year and I am so happy with it. I know it’s “uncool” now, but to me it represents how far I’ve come in life to be able to spend that much money on a piece of clothing

Looking at this video and realizing how I've somehow gone from a child happy in my $15 Walmart hoodies and not even worrying about matching it with anything cuz its all generic stuff to being 30 years old and buying $700 techwear jackets to pair with $350 cargo pants and needing multiple pairs of all brand name products in different colors for colorblocking. Feels good but also feels bad. I definitely leveled up but I'll never be able to be happy with simplicity again.

Unironically that Rick quote really is the bottom of fashion. I love clothes but getting fit boosts your confidence just as much. Hit the gym and all your clothes will instantly look better : D

There seems to be lot of hate on people into fashion, as if it's not a legitimate hobby or conversation starter. While some people like to spend their leisure money on video games, music and audio stuff, tattoos, collecting art, photography, latest tech, car mods, or just cigarettes and beer, some choose to spend it on stuff they wear every day. I don't see what's wrong with that 🤷‍♂️
