I really liked how you focused on the brief of the project and then went ahead with making the moodboard because most of the designer, while making a moodboard mostly focus on their asthestic while neglecting the client or the actual brief of the project. P.S. Loved the content, Robert’s accent and Chen’s fashion.
This video is linked with the first video posted on the channel. The first video talks in detail about the mood board and what all is to be included in it. It also talked about mind mapping and how it makes things easier while creating a mood board. This video gives a live example of the whole process of making a mood board. To explain things better, two characters were introduced; the CEO and the intern in the fashion industry. With the above witty example, one can understand the difference between a designer and a good designer. A good designer will always research about each and everything that is mentioned by the customer whereas a designer will just start making a mood board without any prior research. The video continues by a detailed presentation of the whole process of research and the mood board presentation. To get proper images, websites like WGSN (or any other forecast websites) can be referred to as it gives information about the future collection, silhouettes, colours, fabrics to be used, etc. It is obvious that the 1st mood board made isn’t the best and that changes are to be needed. At the end, the mood board portrays the emotions needed in the collection. From this we learn that the whole process of making is a mood board needs patience.
Sharp and focused sequel to the 1st one. Wonderful way of explaining how much designers needs to engage with their design products starting from logic, visualisation and inspiration.
