The movie isn't about street racing. That's just a side thing. The movie is mainly about Brian's investigation on Dom and the stealing he has been doing.

@@kingcobra2596 exactly bro, people have had that misconception for 20 years now. Smokey spur never about street racing they were always about heists.

@@kingcobra2596 it´s more about being undercover to catch a couple of bad guys, but lose that vice cop control and identifing with those bad guys and start to feel more like a criminal than a cop itself, forgeting who you really are, that´s what this movie is all about, like Point Break...

As far as me and my dad came to understand when watching this last scene and before even Tokyo Drift came out in 2006 (Opinion mixed with the actual sequels): Dom escaped to Mexico with Mia and Letty. Leon as far as everyone speculates, even the actor Johnny Strong, parted ways with the gang after escaping with Letty because it was enough shit going on for him. Vince survived but surely got arrested and served his time in prison. Dom sold the Supra and got rid of any evidence of what happened back in LA. Then... he just made peace with everything that happened, started anew again and lived his life in Mexico. Brian found himself again with his old life and that's it. I still believe it is a better ending to the story than what really happens after 10 - 11 movies 😂
