So glad to see Redout get a sequel. They really knocked it out of the park with the first one, and by the looks of it, they've done it again.

Having played the first Redout. I'm happy there's more Anti-Gravity/Ludicrous speed racing, but coming from F-Zero X, Redout didn't have enough happening on the track to keep me excited. If there where at least 9 other vehicles on track, or even better 14 I'd love it.

Seeing this game reminds me of the old Speed Racer on PS2. I miss that game😊

There's F-zero GX that game is nutty.

the mechanic that allows to join already going races is so cool! even if your chances are slim - it's still better than just sitting and waiting for race to end

the overheat system is a really smart move coming from the previous game it used to be a recharging resource but that allowed you to spam it at near 0% for a decent boost even if its not intended. It would hold you back from the best times but definitely formed bad habits Also the steering looks like they now have steering have proper authority instead of strafing. In RO1 you practically handled turns more with strafe than the actual turn key

Nice to see the teams from the first game making a return along with a few new faces. Especially because I see Koeniggswerth, my favorite team from Redout 1, in that lineup. That makes me very happy.

been playing racers like wipEout and BallisticNG and it's strange seeing an upcoming corner indicator and no weapons but I'm still excited to play it. I hope this type of racing game never dies out, anti-grav racers.

Art style hasn't changed much from 1 and that's a good thing. Hopefully the PS5 version has VR2 support.

I absolutely LOVE that this has a Motorstorm style boost mechanic. That type of system really increases the skill curve, and adds a whole new element to learning how to drive each track, while also being easy to understand, and making the times where you can’t boost feel totally fair. In something like Burnout, you might run out of boost because there’s no cars to takedown, or no corners to drift, or you’re stuck on a one way street, which can feel unfair at times. In Motorstorm, the only time you can’t use boost is because you didn’t manage it well, and it’s entirely your fault like “My brother in Christ, YOU let the car overheat.” Lmao Not to undermine Burnout though. It being one of, if not THE best arcade racers of all time, imo. You just see that typical “drive a certain way to get more boost” formula used in a lot of games these days. The only other games I can think of with Motorstorm style boost management are super obscure ones like Fireburst, so it’s refreshing to see it return in a non-Motorstorm game on a next gen console. Super cool stuff!

this game looks really cool, and quite hard! but still, i'm interested to see how this game will be accepted by the players! and the speed these antigrav pods can make reminds me of grip: combat racing a little. have you hear of it/played it? (it's like a mix of wipeout/redout/f-zero and mario kart, or you can describe it as blur in a shell of redout/wipeout)

loved the first one, so hyped for the 2nd one

And also this game reminds me of Oban Star Racers, an underrated gem of an anime that came out of Jetix in 2005 i think. Highly recommend it if you wanna see an anime about this style of racing

biggest tip for medium to hard turns: - strafe away in the beginning of a turn , then strafe into the turn

A nice detail is to add a G force graph or meter.

Something interesting I noticed is that the graphics this time has a more refined artstyle while ditching the retro polygonal style the first game had. But I will say, it looks good. :)

This game looks very similar to an absolute banger of a game called Quantum Redshift. This this game, but it’s Death Race. It’s great, Kuru should give this old classic a go. 😊

I have one serious problem with this game - it comes out the same day as Sniper Elite 5 😜. One point - it’s not you can drive vertically, you must drive in 3 dimensions to achieve the best times! Redout is awesome (gameplay, vehicles, tracks, music, and progression) and 2 looks even better!

I'm so glad that this game came out, only if it came for mobile too.. I'm still a huge WipeOut fan and mad at Sony Trash™ for cancelling the whole franchise. This is great! I still don't understand why they killed the WO series though.

i didnt enjoy the first redout that much - the visuals were so in your face seeing the track was hard which wasn't helped by the endless blind corners and loops which deposit you in a wall. i dont think my mind can comprehend the changing of gravity like that and it just made it frustrating. same with the 'floorhugger' tracks on ballisticng, i like having gravity go down in my ag racers

After spending a couple hours on this my game myself, I can 2500% say that RedOut 2 is by far the fastest, most punishing racing game in the history of racing games

Seems like the penalty of hitting the wall is close to none, and with the tracks being so narrow, you might as well just fullspeed everything and hit the walls instead of breaking. idk, not for me, but im sure many will enjoy it

It's cool and all but the visuals are a little too overstimulating for my liking

the game looks a little bit lesd detailef compared to the previews one. the track already present in redout had more detailef sand effect etc. but ships seems more heavy which is good

This is in no way faster than F Zero GX. Look at the speedruns and tell me that speed isn't gamebreaking.

The Wipeout remaster on ps4 had a mode that you'd complete virtually endless phases and you would get faster and faster. I've reached phases where it's very much faster than this game.

Day one buy if there's a "boring natural colors" mode. LOL What is it with these guys? But seriously, Redout was really good, I still race it; but I'd like to know, if the handling is a little tighter and quicker this time around? ... wall bouncing in corners no longer required? no longer a winning strategy? I only had one real issue with Redout; and that is that most of the courses are too narrow and tightly convoluted to do justice to the higher speed classes: There was simply no way to race clean. I may be old school, but when you hit a wall at 1000km/h.... you should explode. And lastly I do agree that these games need much better marketing!

not gonna lie, I like the fact that you did a different style of video. Don't get me wrong, your other montages are neat, it's just that after some time they get repetitive & just not entertaining enough. I recommend to do more of this kind of videos, talking over aspects of game, showing gameplay too, not necessarily seeing the Twitch overlay and not just Twitch clips mashed together. It adds a lot more effort for sure, but you might see a spike in audience numbers & makes for a more nicer video experience.
