Enduro Racer looks like a fun motorcycle racing game, while Buggy Run looks like a great time too! Super Off-Road is a game I always loved, and the SMS version looks like a faithful port. Great video man!
Enduro Racer is one that I'd really like to add to my collection soon. That's sweet that you enjoyed Super Off Road, I bet many people weren't aware it was released on the SMS too. Lots of fun racing games available on the console. Thanks for watching buddy!
I know I never played any of these on the Master System, but several look like games I played. Probably DOS ports. I know I played Out Run on the PC back in the day. Buggy run looks like a blast! Looks similar to Off Road for the NES, & i used to play that at my cousins' house (they had the 4-player adapter even, which is the only time I ever used that attachment). Oh @7:37 there's Super Off Road, haha. That's more or less the one I played. Wow, the Micro Machines racer looks surprisingly good. I didn't expect it to be so good!
I had a DOS too, and I really enjoyed it as a kid. That's how I played Wolfenstein 3D and Quest For Glory, two of my favorite games of all time. Lol, that is hilarious you were thinking of Off Road and then BOOM it was showcased. The four player adapter would be so much fun. I never had any cousins my age so those family events weren't much fun for me. Micro Machines is one I played on the NES, but the SMS version looks great too. I love the concept of the game. Thanks for watching buddy!
Overall Outrun is the best. Hang On, Enduro Racer and World Grand Prix were great. I wish Road Rash was on your list, SMS port was decent. Love watching your SMS videos. Brings back memories. Keep up the great work. 👍
OutRun is such a classic, it's such a fun game to play for the day. Enduro Racer is one I'd like to explore more and play through. I purposely left out some racers so I can do a follow up video of "More SMS Racing Games" so you better believe that Road Rash will be on that one! Thanks for watching and thanks for the kind words.
I know that you already named World Grand Prix e Super Mónaco GP, but I would also include Formula One to the list. R.C. Grand Prix is very underrated. Out Run and Hang On are so smooth, that we forget they are 8-bit versions.
I plan on doing another list of Racing Games on the Master System and wanted to save Formula One for that list, so stay tuned! R.C. Grand Prix has one of my favorite cover arts of all-time on the SMS. There's a lot of fun racing games on the SMS. You're right, both OutRun and Hang On run very smooth. Thanks for watching!
There are some solid racers in this selection! But man, you're right the sound effects on some of these games would drive me nuts. That's why I can't have kids, I'd punt the baby in one day. Thanks for watching buddy!
Hang On was the very first game I played on the Master System as it came in the memory..and I remember seeing those graphics and thinking: it cant get better than that (since I was used to Atari :))> I also love Enduro Racer, its a simple but a very fun game, as long as you learn you have to press the pad down at the right moment at the ramps so you can make a big jump. it´s addictive
Hang on was one of the very first for me too! It was bundled with Safari Hunt on mine. Lol, I love the whole "It can't get better than this!" I've had those thoughts many times with games. Enduro Racer is an excellent title. Thanks for watching!
Nice list! I was going to say that Buggy Run looks like Super Off Road on the NES, but then you showed the SMS version, lol! It was one of my favorite games on the NES and also at rhe arcades! Chase HQ also looks like a fun one! Great video and keep up the good work!
It's funny how many games were released on the SMS and NES. Someday I'll make a video about them. I never knew you enjoyed Super Off Road! That's cool to hear you enjoyed it on the NES and in the arcades. Chase HQ looks like a great one, and I love the premise of it. Thanks for watching!
My favourites are Road Rash, Super Off Road and Micro Machines. But I must say that racers aren't really a genre the Master System excels at. The Mega Drive massively improved on the genre. Oh and I played all of them. Monaco GP 1&2 on Master System are so disappointing, considering the Mega Drive games are absolute classics. I think the track order is different, because they are based on different F1 seasons. For the Mega Drive games you can identify which teams and drivers they made legally distinct copies off, if you look at the names, colours and driver pictures. Jardan, being Jordan, Millions, being Williams, Minarae being Minardi etc.
Solid point. The only racer I genuinely enjoyed on MS was Enduro Racer. Outrun had SOLID music however. But yeah Genesis solely with the 3 Road Rash was king.
