For optimum oak tree cramming, if you place a roof seven blocks above the saplings it completely eliminates all large or medium tree growth. You get lovely uniform 4-block tall trees.
After the storage building, you should do like three smaller projects in one video. It would be like a cool special. You could build frodor a house, make a camel stable, and something else. It would make a really good video!
If you don't want to lose saplings, you can grow spruce on mud on top of hoppers which will pick up all the drops. Or a hopper mine cart. You can also use bamboo to make chests if you don't care about what the wood looks like.
Yes, it's the water world! I loved it to! Easy one of the best you ever did! Especially that guardian farm (The only one you ever finished🤣). I really hope you could post the world tour one day. In honor to that world. Whatever your decision is, continue the amazing work! The Guide season 4 is turning out amazingly!
The crimson and warped trees are also great for getting A LOT of wood. You just need the corresponding nylium for them (silk touch the nylium). If I want a lot of warped wood, I just make a 10x10 (or more) square of warped nylium, place warped fungus on every warped nylium block, then bonemeal each fungus. Now you have a HUGE block of warped wood. The "leaves" (nether wart block and shroom lights) don't go away on their own, so I use a hoe to collect them and put them in an automatic composter (chest > hopper > composter > hopper > chest) . Now you have stacks of bonemeal and warped wood. Use the bonemeal on the nylium if you need more fungus.
I’ve been watching your snapshot videos since caves and cliffs was in development and today I finally decided to subscribe because you do such an amazing job giving clear and concise updates about the game! I might have trouble getting into your survival world videos but that’s okay! I’m just happy I have such a great RU-vidr for Minecraft news!
Helloooooo! Had to fix a patreon subscription issue🤬, but I'm back! (I'm alexandreemonet) I have a few things to say: 1. The storage build is turning out great! The yellow concrete at the base is an abomination to my eyes but the build is incredible! With a great interior the best you'll ever have done! 2. About the streams, I generally agree with the idea of doing something separate but in the GUIDE world! 3. I just rewatched the 1.13.2 let's play series and... The world tour finale is missing! After episode 35 you said you would do a world tour before getting on with the bedrock survival series but you completely forgot to do the world tour😂! I beg you, you MUST do that world tour🤣! (To make the world tour "fit" in the continuity of the channel content, you could do a MEGA world tour of the two let's play series, the three first guide seasons and if you want the survival series too in one or two episodes. That would be AMAZING to watch, an emotional trip for the OG's like me and a really interesting trip for the new viewers! I hope you like the idea😊!)
another thing you've covered is bamboo for wood. If you just need a ton of wood and don't care what kind (like for chests) bamboo farm is your best bet. you don't even need to treechopples.
FYI there *is* a Mansion in that Dark Forest lol. It's just a big forest. (I suppose maybe there may be a rare case of it not generating but it's there according to ChunkBase)
Would love to see a stream of you trying to speedrun the game! I'm excited for the interior of the storage building. I always struggle with filling up large interiors, so I'm looking to get ideas from you!
I always love the adventure episodes! Seeing the back of the cherry biome was great and gives context to this epic city in the middle of it. Looking forward to the rest of the storage build...and smashing the End!
If you're looking for wood to make chests for a storage building, why not bamboo? it's always good to have an automatic bamboo farm on base, and while you're working on the storage building, the bamboo is literally farming itself. As for other wood types, my early game method is not too dissimilar from what we saw here. But rather than finding a forest that has the wood types I need, I just make one: Find a flat area close to base, and fill it with saplings. As you continue to get more saplings, you can expand on your man-made forest. Then, when you eventually make a proper tree farm, you can just clear it out one last time
When he made the comment about "When you need oak wood there's only one type of tree to farm" I was waiting for him to say something along the line of "But it's hard to find azalea trees". Edit: "woody"
15:08 I think the color of confusion would be Magenta. Not only because the glazed terracotta block of that color is pointing literally everywhere at once, but also because Magenta isn't real. Like, its not on the color spectrum, it's a mixture of two frequencies on opposite ends of that spectrum (Red and violet) but our brains can't just average those two colors out because that frequency is green, so it throws us Magenta and says "I think? Or whatever, It's definitely not green tho, idk."
you can get by without shulker box but instead go with it's substitute that is much much older. The fabulous Ender Chest. So if you're too afraid or time limited to go to the end , grab obsidians, put those in a circle shape in crafting grid and to sweeten the whole thing put one eye of ender ( which is crafted when you combine ender pearl and blaze powder in shapeless config) in the middle of said circle. hfhfhfhf edit: beware, once you place ender chest you can only pick it up again with a silk touch iron or better pickaxe
Tree cutting is also generally the best way to get building blocks cause each log is three planks (pls tell me if there's something that does this better btw)
Bamboo farm is afk wood farm.. for chest and such the type of wood doesnt matter, right? for tree farming i like to build timber yards with grow blocks above running water to a hopper to catch the decay drops .
Skyblock, but not that single-block skyblock, the skyblock that starts you off with a tree, lava bucket and ice block. I love watching those. Don’t care to much about the stupid 100 day challenges. It’s just nice to see someone start from nothing and make a ton of stuff.
Podzol may be annoying, but deep down in the dark of a slowly revived Ancient City, it turns all the moss blocks from my automatic moss farm into precious soil for my villagers to farm (eventually).
The shape and deph of the storage bilding looks realy good but for some reason it looks bit mish mashed together the parts don't seem to blend together too well
