I enlisted and then served with the 11th US Cavalry in VietNam. I was very proud of our country. We cared about character and honor. Even when I might not agree with the politics of any given time I was still proud of our system as by and large both sides shared many core values. But you can only laugh so much before you realise and ask yourself how useful comedy is to actually changing things. Comedy is a soother. Obstruction of justice is a serious crime in which you are trying to actively stop the law by foregoing the legal processes to be free from a guilty charge for a crime you have committed. And, bribery is using gifts and/or money to stop someone from doing something. We have seen both of these done when Trump confiscated his interpreters notes when he was talking to Putin and when he payed money to multiple women to keep them quiet about his relationship with them.

If it pissed you off when the pundits did it over mustard, this shouldn't be any different. There are a vast number of things I find more pressingly concerning (an exploratory legal committee charged with developing strategies for the repeal/revision of the first amendment in order to better insulate the powerful from criticisms, among other things, springs immediately to mind) about the man than that he would make different food selections than I would make even were all things equal.

With previous presidents, that would be a stupid question to ask after they had been elected. With the current president, this is become more and more of a valid question, which make the entire situation a disgrace. @maxismax100 : How does this prove anything? There is no context to this quote. When did it happen? (During his election campaign 2008/09 or his re-election?) Besides - it isn't even false or misleading. During electioneering the acting president doesn't have the same flexibilty as in the normal tenure. Second - even if we, for the sake of debate, assume that Obama had colluded with the Russian gouvernment, then this would be a punishable crime. It wouldn't make anything Trump does RIGHT NOW any less illegal.
