All of them did that. You clearly don't understand what a "generation of Doctor Who fans" is, and therefore you don't understand what a generation of humans, in general, is. But you definitely know what a regeneration is to Doctor Who fans. And never eat pears.

Yeah, while the regeneration effect in new Who looks great, does feel a bit lazy to reuse the same style over and over again after classic Who featured different effects each time.

I like how these two regenerations have something in common that the other regenerations of the original run of the show don't: both the Fourth and Fifth Doctors reflect on their previous companions before they change. The Eighth, Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors do this also but that is in NuWho.

Following Tom Baker's exceptionally popular Doctor would have been difficult for anyone, but Peter Davison did a good job, showing that each actor can play the role differently and make it work. First impressions do take awhile to change, and that was certainly the case with his replacement, Colin Baker.

I've just started with Dr.Who. I purchased and watched season 5 of the new series. Terribly written. If I want to get into Dr. Who, where should I start? Please help? Old Trekkie here, so low budget Who is fine. Advice appreciated

My opinion of good jumping one points: Season 1 of the Classic show. Season 25 of the classic who Series 1 of the New Show Series 3 of the New show Series 10 of the new show And series 11 of the new show (Though the last one is really bad, so I wouldn’t)

Did they ever explain why Davison hair is brown when he regenerates but come Castrovalva he's blond? I thought actors were not supposed to change like cut their hair when they are in the role?

Castrovalva wasn’t filmed in sequence. The regeneration was filmed for Castovalva and then they filmed Four To Domesday so that Davidson could get the hang of the role by the time of his ‘first’ story. However. His hair length had changed by the time they filmed Castrovalva, so there was a hit of inconsistency in his hair.

Mind-blowing theory: the white entity in Logopolis was actually the bi-generated Fourteen at the end of their life that went back in time. Change my mind.

I'm actually not going to change it, but rather add: what if the white entity is actually one of the final version of dr (Ravager), and the ghost is ghost light, it makes sense since dr. is white while the Master's is purple (appears on top of the timeless child's head). not to mention that the other classic special regenerations make sense with the characteristics of the ravagers

Bi regeneration was awful! I hate the orange volcano effect used for all modern drs. Part of regeneration is how unique effects are. Best in nu who is master , Jacobi to Simm

You hate the modern regeneration effect? Well you may very be one of the very few, because most people say that the common fire regeneration is leagues ahead of the originals. I think 13’s regeneration was the best and most artistic of the bunch.

Tbf, Peter himself was unsure about taking on the role. And while he may not have been as good or popular as Tom, he was still a great Doctor in his own right and has his own share of fans.

I couldn't watch after Tom Baker's regeneration.I tuned into Who a couple times, Davidson was ok, but Colin 😬😬😬😬😬 Sylvester was a BIG improvement, pretty good.Colin lost the worst Doctor title after Jodie.Ruth should have been the Doctor after Capaldi.She had more mannerisms like the previous Doctors, would have been great.Probably would have been able to overcome Crap..er, Chibnall's &co terrible writing."Timeless Child"?!?!🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
