**Vermonters please make the time to call your elected officials today 3/18 and morning of 3/19
This bill is scheduled to be on the senate floor mid day Tuesday.
Please call the state house switch board @ (802)-828-2228 and respectfully leave a message letting them know how bad this bill is for Vermont, it’s sportsman’s and our wildlife.
This is as serious as it gets, we need to ban together or what we love with be taken away from us. This will affect all forms of Hunting, Fishing, trapping and our wildlife.

Does S258 get its own vote, or is it a rider on another bill that doesn’t have anything to do with Fish&wildlife?

It’s its own animal but theres certain allot in there.

I don’t usually say anything negative and maybe this will be positive but the guy talking to the guy while he’s dragging his deer and insinuating “factory farming meat bad” got me a little riffed. I’m an avid hunter and also raise beef, and I can tell you that hunters and farmers/ranchers are basically on the same team. Not wise to divide your team, just a friendly suggestion

We most certainly are on the same team, and that’s what he was trying to get across- food (meat) puts us on the same team.

Totally agree with you on that and I apologize if it came off that way in our chat. I also source locally raised grass fed beef for our family and this is a staple in our diet along with wild game meat that I harvest. We are all one team without a doubt. With that said not all animals are raised equally, and understanding what is going into their feed has a lot to do with the quality of that protein you are going to eat. I stand with farmers, it's also a way of life for some of the members of my family up here in VT.

@@406highlanders Appreciate you brother! I totally understand where you were coming from. I do believe I at least helped him see hunting in a different light. He was a journalist from Brooklyn, so maybe, someday he'll write an article about that experience that helps bring a different vibe to the anti hunting or non hunting community.🙏
