Christopher Rankin you're not alone in this! i Love these guides for situations like that! But not just for that, The guides are great all together :). Thanks Mizz
Something people should be aware about is during Phase 2 after Redfire is cast, the Phoenix shoots out this red AoE circle thing around it. If the Bluefire on the ground (or the person with the debuff) is too close to this explosion, it'll disappear/remove the debuff and then you're screwed for Redfire. :3 Great guide, though. Dem puns.
Another thing too, during Bluefire/Redfire, if one messes the mechanic up, Phoenix will gain a Flames of Rebirth stack. So even if you survive through the dot, it can make phase 3 a bit harder to deal with.
She said "pinions" three different ways- not sure if that was intentional (Pinions, Penguins, Penglings- lol wat?). Thanks for the really helpful guide though!
An easy way to handle Revelations are to have tanks pop cooldowns for the first burst and then to Holmgang/Hallowed ground for the second in the first and second phases. A similar thing can be done in the final phase if your healers are having a bit of trouble.
Thanks for posting this. Seen friends get to it and other videos make this fight get me stoked to get there eventually. But now, we have a guiding light to the chaos ;). Excellent guide.
4/5 small bennus.. We're going for the 3 bennu dream next week :> Just a little, important tip about the Brand of Purgatory. Make sure you have one guy move on the other who stands still. If both people move to eachother at the same time you walk through eachother and don't pass the brand in time, or at all. One thing I don't understand. Why'd you have the melee in it? Why not just the healers so you don't have to move phoenix all over the place? O.O; This maximises dps as well as positionals are a pain in the arse. Great guide all together though :>!!
Going back to a Paladin for these turns.. I refuse to do such a horrible thing Warrior or nothing.... Well until June 19th then Dark Knight or nothing. I expected more out of you Mizzteq.
Hi there, I was just wondering if you had a guide for the "Dragon's Neck" duty at all? I can't seem to find a decent one anywhere else, and I love your vids! If you don't, could you please make one? :) thanks! x
Your guides are visually the best you got all good elements about it but the fast talking is confusing and distracting. Just a constructive criticism. I like your guides and videos but sometimes it feels the explanations take over the guide itself.
i think all the guides for this game get like that. I watch various different ones to hear different takes on the explanations. It'd be nice if somebody made guides that just said, "When... Do..."(from the perspective of the different jobs). For all the words that these guides have in them; in the game log i can tell a new player what to do in a few short sentences. It's a pain when instructions on manual labor get wordy. I think she's better at avoiding this than Mr. Happy is tho. Mature
Hey Mtq :3, love your videos(and your voice along with that sense of humor XD).May i ask when you're gonna release the turn 13 guide?I Hope soon.My static just cleared T12 :D so we need some video advice.
So to simplify this, 3 players drop their respective Blackfire onto A, B, and C, then smother their Blackfire with their Whitefire, then ranged cleave down the Blackfire down before they explode, yeah?
I've cleared it sooo many times, but I'm still curious, there's times when I (bard) took the bluefire patch/buff when Phoenix started casting, but the bluefire buff gone when I collide with the redfire, ended up it explodes as if I didn't took the bluefire. Is there any secret/reason of why the buff gone? The buff should lasts for 60s though.
Seriously, this is Final Fantasy all over, making it complicated doesn't mean it's fun. People will do this once, and then when they have what they want from it, stay away like the plague.
Actually, a lot of us find these encounters fun. They're complicated yeah, but there's an enormous sense of satisfaction and excitement when you manage to beat it. And these are nothing like FFXI at least. No 18 hour boss encounters or anything like that.
DJ Sakura Give them time, it'll come. But I see your point, once you know your stuff this could be fun, I guess I'm just a little intimidated by everything I need to remember for this. I guess I just need to remember I don't need to know everything in this video as a lot of it is for Tanks/Healers.
The only reason to go double Paladin is out of fear and lack of skill with Warrior. There's nothing and I mean nothing in this game a Warrior can't mt or ot. The fact Mizzteq gave into peer pressure and went Paladin for the turns makes me sick. Lol on the other hand lol it is just a game and people have the right to play as they see fit. Whatever works for the raid group I suppose.... Still screams I'm a wussy though
