Kevy if you use cold cold water to rinse your razor, you will have way less irritation. Don't heat your blade, try cold water instead. I'm sure you will be impressed Have a great day

funny thing i never fancied a razor from yaqi nor from global shavng club but i trust yaqi more as they have some decent products unlike GSC wich seems to have a lot of complaints from users but thats from what i noticed on various shaving forums. cheers kevy always a pleasure watching the master do his craft,

How ironic; I've been using my Kevy Shaves Discovery brush all week! I've got another coworker into traditional wet shaving! He just started last Friday and is loving every minute of it. He went thru a really rough time last year and is looking to take better care of himself. I didn't know this at the time. I sent him links to your channel, as well as other RU-vidrs. He's already ordered some stuff from PAA and found out that his Grandfather used a DE razor (his Mom gave it to him). He's so excited that he's shaving every day. I'm surprised that the brass would be smoother than the chrome one. I wonder if Razor Emporium could finish the brass one and get rid of that wee drag. Anyway, another corker of a video! Great shave. I would get the chrome version just for the price and performance. I know you said the brass version is smoother, but since that one is only available in limited quantities unless it sells so well for Yaqi to make mode, the chrome version is just more common and default for me to buy. I don’t know, but it’s just what it is. Have a good one!

Kevy I own the chromed version of the Yaqi, It was from your recommendation in fact Thanks, Great Razor. I had the same dilemma as you about the numbers, So I bought a Sharpie, Permanent marker, The fine tip, Black, And hay presto, It solved the problem, , Its water proof as well, It literally took me about 40 seconds to apply the permanent ink,, After it dried down which takes seconds I reapplied the marker, And Ive shaved with it about 20 times since, And no problems. I hope this helps!! Good luck. P.S After trying lots of different makes of blades with this razor, I found the Wilkinson sword blades the smoothest and the best.

Nice comparison shave Kevy, IMHO, I think the harshness may have been the way the blade is held in the Final Cut. Although secure, it's not as solidly held as the brass tab and slot style.

I think it would be better if that was plated brass.

Hey Kevvy sorry I'm a bit late jumping in with a comment, but I have just had chance to catch your video, I live the brass Yaqi razor managed to get a cheeky order in before they sold out mind you with demand theh may go into full production. The main reason for commenting was to ask a question, have you tried Vetiver by Guerlain, it is such a beautiful masculine scent ,I have used it since the early 90's and love it, I think you would too.

Nice video, but no Nacet? Let's hope that if they produce the brass version, they don't cut corners to save a buck and end up again with defective razors......would expect they learnt from V1, V2, V3......

Hi Kevy, I see that the Yaqi is another Gibbs inspired razor. I thoroughly enjoyed the Taiga and absolutely hated the Rex Ambassador. Can you tell me if the brass Yaqi TFC is closer to the Ambassador or to the Taiga in terms of smoothness? Thanks!

Nice comparison shave. Unfortunately, I just don't get a comfortable shave with my Yaqi gun metal version at settings above 2. So I can't really use it as an adjustable. I wouldn't risk $100+ on a brass version. Guess I've been spoiled by my 6S. BTW, my SOTD was the first time I used Clubman Classic Barber Shave Cream. It's brushless and very slick. Have you used that product? If not, how about a video for that? It can also be used as a post-shave balm. Cheers.

Can't use just vetiver, it smells like manky sweaty armpits to me, it's ok when mixed with something else but not on it's own but that's just my opinion 😂. I hope I can get one of the brass razor's , shame there only making 100 coz that means I'll probably not get one coz they're gonna go in no time. Be kool and keep laughing 👍✌️

Nice shave Kevy🪒💈 6 to 1, half dozen the other... Either or did the job, comes down to personal preference really and how much you want to spend. If you like Fougere give Gentleman's Nod "Sir Arthur" a try, lovely stuff that rivals Penhaligon's and GFTrumper Ferns. Great video as always. Enjoy!
