I totally feel the burnout at the end. The one time I've gotten to that last chapter it was exhausting... I'm still mad at myself, because I had a perfect trickster deck, that exclusively pushed people off edges and such to get insta-kills, which meant I could ignore the insane health they all had. And then I forgot about a turning to face ninja, and lost it all. That's the only solution I've come up with so far that even gets close to feeling strong enough to beat the end. I hope you keep up the content! I really enjoy getting to share with how insanely hard this game gets! 😁
I had a mix of counter and aggressive deck which focused on getting very high momentum(action) which has high dmg moves that dealt 30 - 40 and i used blocks for upgraded armoured strike but still lost to first area with bosses on the final mission. I had to face the red prison boss that auto attacks and the boss that uses his belly to attack push and counter. Both were so beefy that i just got destroyed
So you had a couple of missed opportunities. To handle the last level, you need a lot of cards that move enemies (grapple and shove) and good movement cards. If you keep Step in your deck, you'll pull it 1/4 times, and it's the worst. Cut step and Dash, have only Slip and Shift (maybe Vault or Tactical Retreat if you wanna be fancy). If you don't upgrade all your counters/blocks, they don't keep up with the damage scaling in the last level either, so a counter deck becomes dead weight.
I feel like the only ways to even have remotely enough damage to even use damage rather then ring outs is either upgraded wall jump punch after doubling its damage or stacking damage up with three hit combo. It just seems knockback is the way to go 9/10 times if you wanna do the final set of maps.
One thing to know is that you will always draw a movement card each turn so its best to remove step and dash and only have slip and shift in your deck so you can always escape also at 55:27 you could have only taken one damage because those guys have only one range also stun dart/any ranged attack means you don't take damage from spiked armor so feel free to use it against ninja boss
