is amazing to see how the japanese car culture apreciate your job for the honda culture Joey. the amount of invitation to see many projects, private builds and shops that a small amount of people get to know. keep this amazing project. i think already have 10 years or more following your job. salute from panama.
@@Sevencastle I have a DND wheel on my car and I had a DND quick release. They’re just cheap Taiwan made parts. DND has great customer service, but horribly made parts. I’m ready for a new steering wheel, but I drive my eg once every 7 months so no need to switch up asap.
@@Sevencastle no worries! Their steering wheels aren’t horrible by any means. Just not the greatest. I stood on mine and jumped on it and I’m a heavy dude. Didn’t bend or flex. DND’s quick release on the other hand, was reaaaaallly bad. After a month of driving with it, it had a ton of play and would shake like crazy when driving. Thought my wheel was going to fall off. Switched it for a nrg quick release and my car felt smooth again which was weird. But no worried! Rather have you invest in something worth the money long term vs buying two times.
Thank you for a spectacular month of coverage. I know you have missed being there. Appreciate all you have done for the community over the last 12 years.
My bro kiyo-San owns that blue integra! Started talking to him some time around last year and made really good friends with him (regardless of the language barrier) super chill dude! I’m hoping that there’s gonna be another Chanoka event next year so that I can have an excuse to go to Japan LOL
I found your channel and The Chronicles after buying my DC2 this past October and consuming a lot of Honda content on YT (the algorithm really funnels what it thinks you want to see until you retrain it). This series and your previous videos are such an inside look into Japanese shops and the people involved that it would be really hard for someone on a trip, or even myself living here, to replicate. It's a true testament to your years in the industry and experience. Very cool and earned. And I agree with what your girlfriend was saying about you showing the Built By Legends car - I've seen it featured here and there and as it progresses but it was cool to hear your take on it since your opinion has weight (Larry covers everything, you specialize in Hondas). Coming from Nissans and drifting and finally delving into Hondas, I really appreciate the extra details and explanations you include. Enjoyable watches without any extra drama. Keep up the good work!
RU-vid stole my comment so here’s the short and skinny. Your time spent is paying off in numerous uncountable ways, your emotion/heart shows through your work. You’re a definition of “humble artist”. 🤘🔥😎🔥🤘
Another amazing series Joey!! This one felt extra special! And i can see that it felt extra special to you too! Everything just flowed in this series!! Thankyou again for what you bring to the Honda Community, the community in general! Thankyou!! 🙏🙏
Always enjoy your japan stuff, the vibe you have given your vlogs in the recent years has been insanely relaxing, I really hope it is a reflection of where you are in life and that life is treating you well
My fiancee and I are building an EG, and we got introduced to your channel. Your attention to detail got me hooked, and your laid-back tone for telling the story of cars and shops you cover got us hooked. I'm glad I follow you, Joey!
Thanks for all of the great content over the last month. Really appreciate it. Your vlogs have made the anticipation of my personal return to Japan (hopefully by this winter) very much palpable. Thanks again!
Though Larry and various others put out great content, the way you get into detail and story telling on builds is really what makes you a staple in the Honda and automotive community.
Brah damn awesome how you have all this access into these bad ass shops and to be able to show us how Japan does it in the race world brah thanks for sharing man damn awesome work you did
as always love the video been a sub almost since the day you started the channel. it's great for us Honda guys to see it behind the world we wouldn't normally get to see if it wasn't brought to Us by you. you do fantastic work that's the whole reason spoon wanted you to cover that car. Larry Chen, while he takes great photos, his Honda game there's nowhere near the same. I don't know if you seen the Dogtown documentary but they were interviewing guys that said they lived the life through the skaters eyes even though they lived in the Midwest through the photographer stories and pictures that's how I feel I'm in the midwest myself and will probably never get to Japan so it's a treat seeing such great cars and stories
dude they appreciate you like all who follow and subscribe appreciate you. thank you for bringing California and Japan Honda scene to all of us and especially to me from Chicago. keep doing you Joey as always bringing awesome videos.. maybe one day we'll meet in Chicago and have stuff pizza from Gino's east. lol i know u think its gross..
Thanks again for the video Joey! Loved the CRX feature. :D Edit: I'm really happy for Mini Yasu. That must have been a dream come true for him to have you see his car after reading and watching your vids for years. Also, what does carbon reinforced mean exactly? Is It just a layer of carbon over the original sheet metal?
Love your videos Joey, please try and keep pushing to shoot more stateside. Would love to see more videos from the Cali area. Well done though 👏 beautiful trip to Japan. Take care and Much love brother ❤️ 🙏
Just started following you not long ago and realized I’ve seen your “name/nickname” on a few magazines and stuff before and it hit me like wow lol, but just wanted to say you always have great content and thanks for sharing your trip to Japan with us it inspires me to continue a “build” that I just started this year, thanks again 👍🏼.
Been out of the honda game for a spell but recently bought a Honda Acty HA4 stateside. For a guy stateside where do you look nowadays for sweet used parts? 14x5.5 wheels are not the easiest to find. Loving to content and all the good cinematography.
There's a cat in Huntington Park off gage that has a whole lot of those little cars but they could be imports from Europe I'm not that knowledgeable on those cars...
The valve cover on the CR-X is 100% fake. The N is too centered to the spark plug cover bolt. The E and the N are supposed to be centered to the SPC bolt.
@@THECHRONICLES i mean am sure if that civic hit something on the track the owner will feel sick, but it's cool not bad mouthing the build..or an i love your video they volcanic😂😂
Yeah I’m so entitled to pay for my own trip, make content and come and go as I please. How entitled of me. Dumb ass comment. This the type of shit that makes YOU sound entitled.
