Though I was originally schedule to leave Japan on the 26th, I changed my flight itinerary when I realized that there was an event I must attend. The plan was always to leave from the Tokyo-side and with a few extra days in Japan, I definitely made the most of it...

i love how joe knows almost every honda at this meet and every part on every car, goes to show you he knows his stuff and that is why he is the honda judge for wekfest. if you win a honda award at wekfest with joe as the judge you should be very proud that you have one of the best show car hondas in the world

this is so up my alley. I still have my eh2 that had bolt-ons in '02, a b16a swap in '03, boost in maybe '05 and it's third and best resto-mod in '09. my inspiration was Super Street, SCC, h-t, HMT, and a few work trips to Japan. to see that shout out for the ffsquad sticker truly is full circle. thanks for this, Joey! Still bringing us the best of the best of the best!

Yes I have been waiting for you to show the Upstart coupes !! 😄 The LHD JDM EJ1 was a 1994 Honda Primo 10th anniversary edition. Avalible in Horizon Grey, a year prior to US. The normal JDM coupe don't have a moonroof.

LOVE the Coupe/EJ1 content. Currently working on a Cameila Red Pearl EJ1 restomod that I’ve owned for nearly 11 years. These cars dont get as much love as the hatches

When you were talking about how they are kinda going after the Cali style of the 2000s.. I found that really cool. I remember in the 2000s when people would get Wings West or Xenon lip kits and say "clean jdm style". I do miss the Honda Golden era for sure! It was so unique back then, but glad to see it alive and appreciated.

@@THECHRONICLES I probably didn’t said it right but you can’t convince me that we didn’t develop the type of influence between US and Japanese audience when it comes to USDM or JDM car, heck if it wasn’t for the F&F I wouldn’t know about Japanese Cars that a lot of our generation grew up on

@@NoypiTexan I wouldn’t be able to convince you because you don’t know what being a car enthusiast was before F&F came along. This style and the connection between the US and Japan has little to do with anything those movies promoted. They created a completely different style independent of whatever you’re seeing here. You’d be doing car enthusiasts before you a terrible injustice if you just assumed a Hollywood movie created this influence. Actually you’d be doing your own generation of enthusiasts the same by believing that.

It really depends on what it is. Generally some stuff is more readily available and the Yen isn’t as strong as the U.S dollar so yeah, you can say it’s cheaper.

This is great! Is it just me, or does everyone (Japan & US) have so much contempt and disdain for the ES Civics, they literally NEVER include them in any meets, events, etc.? Kudos to Thailand for being one of the only regions that loves and mods ES Civics....and damn nice at that! Also notice the lack of EP type R's as well. C'mon Japan, if you're gonna represent the later Civics, do it right and be more inclusive!
