Your video's about H3's are great! Good job. First accessory I grabbed was a set of those mini blind spot mirrors - saved me from lane-swervers a couple of times now. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for another great video!!! Keep em coming! Looking to buy an h3 in the following months. Doing my research. What year do you reccomend is best!
Thanks man! I will. I have over 100 videos that I want to do. Anything ranging for Mods, Repair, Maintenance , Offroad Content. I will definitely keep them coming!
Great, simple but inspiring video. I have a question. Since I do not own a H3 yet but am looking into buying one, which should I fovcus on. I see plenty of 2006/07s with the 3.5 and 3.7l's. Bu I've come to understand that they are kind of underpowered for such a heavy suv. I have my eyes on an Alpha with the 5.3 V8 (rare here in scandinavia). It is abput €10.000 more, yet with very low milage. It does not have rear diff. locker. But I am not going to do any rock climbing. Maybe some overlanding in the future.
Hi there , how to solve the Rain Leaking inside the cabin of Hummer H3 ? Could you please advise , for the front leaking from the sun roof ,and maybe leaks From the back water tubes , thanks .
Hey, just a little tip... that rear cargo mat is made to be cut for those strap-downs(if necessary). I'm surprised they didn't have a "scissors" symbol engraved for the inlet. The mats I bought had them, though it was for a different car.
That's what I was thinking! While filming the video I did mention that part, but I cut it out in the final edit because I wasn't sure if anyone was going to cut into their new $130 rubber mat.
Have any videos on a way to blowout or fix the evap canister next to the fuel tank? I keep getting the gas cap code and takes me 20 minutes to put $10 in gas in my H3.
Hi Great videos man , you rock, hey i got a Question for you, how do you reprogram your new remote, i bought a set from Ebay but i t had no instructions , i ask them and they just reply to take it to a locksmith, in my opinion not a professional way to do business, thanks mine its a 2006 H3
what did you use to cover the faded trims on the h3 i have one still stock, but the black trims are faded and the chrome is crackling on the mirrors. what do you use of suggest to use. thanks for the help mang
I love your hummer, I want one, I keep on changing my mind cus I keep on hearing they're unreliable, but then I look at them and they look so dope. And there isn't a lot for sale right now, at least over here in Phoenix.
Thanks! In general H3s are really reliable and only require general maintenance. Some of the issues you could start to see come with higher mileage H3s in the area of 160K-200K miles with the regular I5 version. Basically in this range, some of the I5 motors go bad and need replacement. That being said however, if you do a good job of maintenance, they can last well past 250K miles. If you get the V8 version, called the Alpha, the engine will last even longer. Somewhere in the range of 300K to 350K. Right now, my grey 2008 H3 Alpha has 250K and is still going strong. If you are looking to get an H3, I would really recommend buying one with less than 100K miles that way you don't run into any problems right after buying it. Before purchasing anything, I would strongly recommending doing a PPI (Pre Purchase Inspection) where you have the vehicle you are looking to buy inspected by a mechanic / shop that you (Not the Seller) choose.
cnaranjofe I just bought one this week dirt cheap with 90k miles. I’m already loving it. I’ll let you in on a little secret. I work in the automotive field in a busy shop. Even the new $40k jeeps have problems. And most sexy women do too. It never stopped me from marring my crazy wife or buying a h3. Most cool things in life need more attention. It is a risk. I have a friend that owns one since new and has 120k miles on his 09 base model and has maintained it well and only had to do rear leaf springs. Crazy because he has never been off road washes it weekly with undercarriage wash and his frame still has the oem paint on it. Can’t figure out why the driver side broke. And no he doesn’t trailer stuff either. It’s fun to look at and be in.
my brother has 07 h3 with 494,000 miles, it has i5 in it, still runs strong, no major issues, i got 06 h3 with 121k miles, runs excellent, had to replace u joint though. H3's are a lot more reliable than jeeps. And any vehicle , even most reliable ones will not last if neglected on maintenance pretty bad
kerktam wow half a million! The H3 in many respects was almost “over engineered” thankfully. We’ve run ours almost to 200,000k and have had zero major issues with it. In fact, we went huckleberry picking yesterday and did 60 miles on some pretty pot-hole ridden forest roads and it per usual, it did just fine.
Hello 👋 Is it possible to put a h3 5 cylinders 09-10 front differential to a H3t alpha ? I have a hummer H3T alpha 2010 and my front differential doesn’t work any more, what can I do to fix my problem? I tried on looking for all the parts of the differential and fix it but I couldn’t find all of them , and I was looking to put a front differential from a H3 5 cylinders but i don’t know if that’s possible, what can I do in my case?
Great video, and I'm sold on these mats, I'm also going to drill out the drain grommet, between the two, I should be okay, cuz right now my Hummer is driving me crazy or rainy days, and you stated that you also have a alpha, I'm so jealous,
@@4lowmode for your H3 do you mean you went into the sidewall and drilled that drain grommet out and it didn't work, there's a lot of videos on RU-vid where people did that, but no one has a follow-up video on if it made a difference
@@jarocla665 Yeah that's what I did. For a while it actually worked, but now it is leaking again. I gotta take the interior apart and track down the leak.
im thinking about getting my own h3 and or h3t and havent done awhole lot of research on them, but one thing i was wondering is if its possible to use the new wrangler headlights(2019) for the h3/h3t and if so are you planing on doing it?
I am not, but anything like that would have to be custom fitted as I do not believe anyone has done that before. Plenty of people have fit 7in Jeep headlights in their H3s, but you do have to fit them yourself. Unfortunately there isn't a plug and play solution out there at the moment
Thanks! The way I fixed my sunroof was by drilling a hole in the rubber piece the connects the draintubes to the firewall. There are a couple videos out there on the topic, but none of them are that good. Also I made sure that my drain tubes were connected at the top where the sunroof water catch pan is.
I concluded that the only way to avoid leaks is to make the seal tighter. In Florida it would rain hard and I could smell the moisture inside. The sunroof drain are somewhat slow.. and a moving car will cause the water on the water tray to spill. I bought a Z-shape 3M weatherstrip and placed on the sunroof panel edge with the loose side facing outwards. Once the sunroof opens, the loose part will go under the sunroof edge, hence being trapped between the sunroof seal and sunroof window frame. No more leaks or smells for me. I don't open the sunroof that often anyway. To top it I installed a B shape weather strip (5mm) behind the door seals to make the seals tighter. A lot cheaper than replacing the OEM door seals. smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MFJJR47/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
4 Low Mode Just found your channel & going through your stuff & BINGO, leaky sunroof! 🤦🏼♀️😖 It rains here like 3 times a year, but it’s a deluge & every time I’ve been soaked by this problem. Thanks for your great tips and knowledge 👍🏻👌🏻
@@vegasbrit9440 You're welcome! Thanks for watching! Next video I do will definitely be on a sunroof fix. There is already some videos out there, but they don't explain it well and they go about it in a way that makes it harder than it needs to be.
I was wondering if it was normal for my 2006 Hummer H3 to run a little on the warm side? It always runs a little above the halfway temperature Mark in between 1/2 and 3/4. It doesn't go above that. I couldn't find any forum regarding that. If you could let me know I would appreciate it
Shew I fixed my leak. What a bitch. Poor engineering to. I yanked everything out to bare bones. It's fixed now but I have friends who permanently plugged theres and dont even use the sunroof.
I already do! I have 2008 Alpha Lifted 7in with 38 in tires. I really need to do a Build tour of it. You can check out more pics of it on my instagram. (@acer4lo)
As of right now, nobody sells an angry grille for the H3. All the guys who have done it before have made it custom. Here is a video on it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-et7BixqP0HE.html
Clint Golub below your dash and under on both sides you’ll find a plastic tube line running down from the sunroof which is the drain, once the tube runs out you’ll find grommets attached to the end of tube and you’ll remove the tube from the grommets and then remove grommets. Once grommet is removed look down it and you see crosshairs and that is the problem, they get clogged easily. So now take a drill bill and remove those crosshairs and that’s it. No more clogs, no more water dripping on the floor board.
Geovanni Viteri it’s such a fantastic vehicle. You’ll have a lot of fun. See if you can pick one up with the rear diff lock if possible (preferably front as well).
hello bro, do you think mud flaps are worth it to put on ? i have 305/55 20s , it offsets like 3 inches out the fender, so if i put mud flaps it will just be kinda useless?
If you are referring to the plastic mud guards that you can get from Amazon or Husky Liners that are a direct fit, they are very small and when you put on larger tires and look comically undersized. I would avoid them because they aren't going to cover the whole tire. Also they are very to easy to rip off when offroad.
@@4lowmode oh a different question, the guy who makes the improved clips for the cargo nets behind the front seats, is there anymore of those around? it seems out of stock and he’s not making anymore?
@@gerald2935underwear Pretty sure Lased Designs is still making them but its really annoying trying to get them from him unfortunately. He is a one man show and he only does it on the side.
