Beautiful! I had a 2018 TLX Aspec SH-AWD in White for a short period of the time before my RDX Aspec and I always loved the genuine, solid feeling of this generation. This was one of the last that had that 'old school Acura/Honda' feel in the steering and handling. Congratz!!

That car is so gorgeous! Man its only fitting that you take ownership of it! I was heavily debating trying to aquire one of those when they had came out. I was still driving my 2015 V6 TLX at the time and was highly interested. I had took my car for servicing at Oakland Acura one day and they had JUST had one delivered to the showroom and I was in love! Still a car id love to try and find later on.

The diamond pentagon grille is one of my favorite front-ends. Honestly, Acura and Mazda's current design language, for the most part, is my favorite in the car industry. I do think Acura let the TLX down though by never offering a manual. I love that J-series V6!

WHAT?! I LOVE IT! This has got to be my favourite TLX of all time. I was hoping to see one in person but with only 360 made, quite a rare sight and only us Acura people will go crazy over it.

When I saw your PMC badge I was thinking it had to be the Acura press car/show car. That's so crazy you were able to buy it! It's really interesting that it started off black; the rest started white. I can't find any white on mine but I haven't taken door cards off to check inside doors. I believe all of them were stripped down to the frame to be painted. I've seen videos of the painting process and a white tlx in that video was stripped of all interior and the drivetrain. It's part of the Andaro painting process. Mine has gloss paint in the engine bay door frames and trunk frame. If you take off the trunk lid liner it should also be gloss paint hiding under the cover. I bought mine August 2019 but it's officially labeled a 2020. I hadn't really thought about the first being a 2019 but that makes sense! I have PMC #097 which has VIN #085 off the line (VIN and PMC number doesn't match on all cars. It's the same mismatched #s for the NSX). Does your VIN end with 000? My PMC TLX has 1,970 miles to date and is Hagerty insured. I also have a 2017 TLX tech. I really love the 4 cylinder with the dct even though most don't.

First, that’s awesome you found this and we’re able to get it. Secondly, what a cool piece of Acura history. The color is beautiful. Third, I’ve always been back and forth about this generation TLX. It’s quality seemed very similar to an Accord, which was hard to justify paying extra for. The second generation improves so many areas. I felt like the PMCs were just a way to keep people happy as they remade the TLX. I’m curious on what your thoughts are on this generation, and if it’s worth getting for a value over the second generation. Congrats again on your buy!!

It's definitely a gorgeous car. Still looks modern too. I love that red. It has so much depth and richness to it. I'm sure it just glistens when the sun hits it. Great score.

Wish Acura would ditch the push button gear selector. At least it still has analog gauges.

I've always been an engineering kind of person, and I was hyped for this car when the first ones came out. I was 13 at the time and I literally could not stop talking about the TLX. I am jealous that you have all the press material about it - I think I had to get rid of my November issue of R/T to make room for even more Acura literature! I still have the original brochure from 2015, and I've accurately simulated the TLX in a PC driving game. One of my approximately 67 zillion technology ideas is to make what I call the "AHC (Acura/Honda Classics) Simulator" which would be a PC game with iconic Honda and Acura vehicles like this, the 1st gen Civic, the '87 Legend, the Prelude Si, RSX, TL Type-S, and oddballs such as the ILX hybrid, TSX wagon, Accord V6 hybrid, and the RLX all fully modelled and simulated down to the finest nuance of handling dynamics and every last feature, button, knob, and lever. This game would be developed by collaborating with Honda, as well as perhaps Acura and Honda collectors like you in order to collect 3-D scans of vehicles and gather accurate engine and other vehicle sounds.

those TLX prototype wheels look so similar to the 10th gen accord sport wheels. wonder if honda got the design from that prototype.
