The First Berserker Khazan Gameplay & Impressions After Playing - NEW ACTION RPG 

I don't know about other dfo fans, but I think this game like a major step down from the previous iteration project bbq. This one makes you play as the first "Berserker" yet almost none of the gameplay really shows dfo berserker skills, no iconic frenzy aura, none of his blood skills, nada. Feels like it's more a game made for soulsborne fans to introduce them to the dfo universe. Just so disappointed they couldn't continue with project BBQ, that one felt way more in line with what I expected from a 3d DFO.

@@Lolplayer112 It was weird of them to develop two MMOs based on dfo IP. Both overkill and bbq was going to compete with each other which is just dumb. This is subjective thing but I also prefer look and gameplay of overkill better. It literally looks like dfo2.

It depends on how that increased challenge is handled, using God of War Ragnarok as an example. It's hardest difficulty married both lazy and good styles of increased difficulty. A.I changes and basically just stat bloat. Games like Furi or Cuphead nailed what a difficulty slider in these games can be. Increased complexity in fights, by adding a phase, or removing a phase for those who want it easier.

@@Seravii ikr a stamina bar , have to roll to avoid taking damage and a reusable healing bottle or item and boom it gets put in the “ souls like game” section . Soon enough they are going to put first person shooter games in the souls like game genre

Character action games just aren’t as good as Souls games. There’s a reason barely any get made now.

We call the genre of games you mentioned . Khazan's original universe, DNF, is a hack and slash MMORPG. And the new project that was going to be developed was also a hack and slash. However, Nexon split the project into two. A hack and slash project that follows the traditional DNF, and a soul-like project like Khazan. I don't want all action games to be like soul-like. However, I can't deny that the soul-like genre is effective for one-on-one combat with mobs. Even Ninja Gaiden, like soul-like, was very important for guard and dodge, just no parrying system. Ninja Gaiden was an action game with a different direction from DMC. by the way, soul-like game is not soul game.
