Love this video so much! You two are so adorable working together. Definitely going to be looking more closely at every table and chair leg from now on. 🤔 Such a fabulous way to upcycle and make new treasures out of old treasures. Especially special pieces with sentimental value that are now damaged. Nothing is wasted. Brilliant. ❤
I loved this, and seeing the old days when CArlos could use matches safely! This is a great idea which I am going to pass on to my brothers who do a bit of wood turning and stuff. No table will be safe now! Arne you're sooooo STRONG!!!!!! xxx
I love recycling/upcycling! Another deconstruction/reconstruction video! Now I will go look at my furniture and see what I can cut up. You two are (and always have been) awesome!
It’s interesting to see how in charge and confident Arne seems in this very first pilot…more so than in later videos where he almost seems a bit shy…thanks for sharing
Happy anniversary of your U-tube beginning. Glad you stuck with it. I have benefitted greatly from your demonstrations. But most of all the joy you bring is the best.
What fun it was to see how your first video was compared to how well you guys do now . Always fun to make something out of nothing. Those table legs were gigantic. I think the little short one looks like a a brandy bottle
Amazing what can be done with a little imagination and interest in a certain craft. Once you decide you like a craft you can find endless items to enhance your craft if you just look with that in mind.
Treasures are found by digging. I would have tuned in for more of Arne and Carlos after seeing this pilot episode. Thank goodness you didn’t let this perfectly imperfect episode stop you from sharing your talents and creativity. You are fabulous, bloopers and all. 🥰
hi guys glad to see you i just love the candle sticks you can make out of things what a great idea that saw looks like a great old saw to cut with we had one of them they are great i was happy to see your first pilot thanks ok take care and i will see you on your travels to see kate
I will never look at table legs the same way again! Thank you for sharing this pilot episode with us from the past. It is always a joy to watch you both and I learn something new every time!
That was a real treat, to see the beginnings of such a fun series of instructive videos. I freaked out, though, when Carlos put the hot match back into the matchbox….or at least it looked like that was what he did. We all know what happened when he did that before! (or, well, LATER, but you know what I mean)
Awww! It was great to see your very beginnings 😊 Takk for sharing it with us. It is more professional looking than you think, though you are all way more ‘slick’ now I think. I have several candle holders that I made the same way about twenty years ago, so no surprise that your channel still appeals to me. Be well, Sally 🌹
You both did so well in this first ever video. I am enjoying it very much. How clever you are. Wow, you're powerful, Arne! You're both so creative - but we already knew this.
Okay, you two are so cute, I’m surprised you’re not mobbed on a regular basis. Arne is very prominent in this one. He usually hangs back at the beginning and then emerges. How wonderful is it to see your beginnings, and see how far you’ve come. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What trooper's you were! Often, the beginning of anything is rough. I can't imagine there could have been a less attractive, more chunky piece of wood to try and recycle, but you held strong and persevered. So serious! I'm glad you decided it was okay to laugh and flat out honestly state when things are off. The personality was there. Arne - selling it to the end! Carlos - oh so helpful! Another funny one for the books! Hope you are enjoying your break, and hope to see you Sitting for a Bit soon!
Lol - you guys have NOT aged!!! The candleholders are gorgeous! I’m a fan as well of them. What creative ideas from just one table ! Wish they were for sale …😔just very unique one- of - a- kind.. Really enjoyed watching the ‘ magic’ happen. Thanks guys for bringing enjoyment and inspiration . As always… Love, Marilyn USA ,
Thank you for digging, Erik! What a gem! I appreciate the art of candle making. 🕯️Candles in the home add such a warm (and calming) ambiance. Remember, we have all had to take a first step. Good job on your first step, Arne & Carlos!❤
Arne, i like the hat you wore. I would have never thought of making a candle holder. What a great idea❤. Thank you for a blast from not too distant past
You guys are an inspiration - I love your enthusiasm and creativity so much. I'm still at the early stage with my channel and I struggle with showing my old hands on camera (let alone my face! :D ). You and Kate (Last Homely House) have given me a new perspective...it's about being real. xxx
How fasinating looking back at your early video's Arne still has his bird nest hair and cheeky grin,Carlos you were ever so professional, how well you both have come on,learning us new things to make, keep it up guys, love watching and learning xx
What an absolute treat this was, I'm so glad you decided to share it and that Eric found it in the archives. I was holding my breath at the end, Carlos, when you lit the match, thinking of the near matchbox fire at Christmas time 😁❤
This was sooo good to watch. I loved your intro about the table leg ‘find’ and died laughing when Arne pulled out a hand saw to cut the table leg. I thought you’d be there for an hour chopping through that monstrous wood leg. I so appreciate your ease and laughter in your Pilot and think it’s only gotten better. 🙌🏼
Great idea showing your first piliot episode as its good to look back and see how far we have come 😊 your house must be such an archieve fablous. Lovely candle sticks
What a fab recycling idea 🎉 Isn’t great that you are both on the same page with ideas 👏 So much easier with an extra pair of hands to put these ideas in place 🥳
That was a nice surprise. Thank you for sharing and taking us back in time. Interesting to see how old furniture can be upcycled into useful items for the home. Take care and stay blessed.❤
I think this your first episode is exceptionally good, and thanks for showing it. What a wonderful idea. Makes one think of all sorts of other possibilities with old treasured objects.
