@@VRCauldron OH noooo. Sorry about the confusion. I've been outside of primarily English speaking countries for about 5 years. The 2 other years were traveling and trying to complete a degree and the latest year holed up at home with the covid situation going on. "Whilst" isn't a very popular in my hometown. So I really just mean I haven't heard it said in a long time.
Being at home and watching more English TV and videos, I just notice more and more words that don't seem to appear naturally at times. Words that I know, but had lost (idk repressed?) because my students wouldn't know them offhand easily.
I feel it’s really important to mention that you don’t need a powerful pc to use side quest. I know people who thought they would need a high end gaming pc to use side quest when you can use just about any pc that supports side quest.
I wonder if i can run some cool stuff ... i ll need to upgrade my pc soon with all amd and nvidia stuff ( to get some 2k-4k capacities)... but for a fewmonths i wonder if my computer wich plays most recent games in hd at 60ish fps can do the job for some games ( eventho i don’t expect to run halflife alyx or reddead2 in vr yet)
H apellon It could probably run some less intense games for sure. You might just not want to play with a bunch of other people because it could cause FPS drops but you could run some PC exclusive VR games that aren’t huge.
Nintendo Nathan yea i might try some nice slow paced steam games to see if it plays fine ... i ll try stuff like puzzles / socials idk ... will see ...i expect gpus to be back ordered for at least 3-4months , but hopefully not a year...
I just ordered the Quest 2 last night and will be getting it around Jan 28, Its my first ever VR and I've been wanting one for a very long time, for the past 2 days Ive been watching many videos about the Quest 2 and so far Im really happy I bought it.
@@zesty569 Yep, it’s really awesome believe me! I have beat saber, the climb, vr chat and rec room. Beat saber and the climb are amazing games. If you got your oculus then we can meet in vr char or rec room
Same bro, although they said it may not arrive right on the 13th due to shipping problems. Super hyped tho. And yeah those are going to be some of the first games I get😂
@@VRCauldron Same here bro! Like I was planning on getting a ps5 but when I heard about the quest 2 I did some research and made the decision to get this instead cuz I've been intrested in vr for about a year. I am so excited man. And yeah the microtransactuons suck. I understand some of the in game purchases but they shouldn't charge 30 for the game if they are just going to include this. Also they need to straight up make the progression faster from what I've heard.
@@ub0nFPS it checks out in all of those honestly, the screen door effect is little to none, the resolution is great compared to other headsets, and since its wireless sometimes it does feel very realistic and you can do whatever you want without being tangled up in a wire
Screw the ps5, this is where nexgen starts for me! Coming from a psvr so can't imagine the bump in res & tracking. Like a kid waiting for christmas here..
@@VRCauldron ready for the journey with this thing. Surely this is a watershed. Quest 3 mass adoption, Quest 4 how did we live without it Quest 5 follow the white rabbit😆
Pavlov needs a counselling service. Getting team killed due to my lack of accuracy online was harsh. But I still love it and I will try to get better and better at it.
Ah Cheers Steve that means a lot you popping round here. Btw the video with me on the bike in the thumbnail is where I borrowed a clip of you on Virzoom. Love that vid to McDonalds 🤣
It's going to be my first VR, I'm just wondering is there even enough games to play that will make the price tag worth it? I don't mind waiting so will the price go down?
As a multi VR owner, I HIGHLY recomend these 5 games. 5. Espire 1: vr operator 4. Fnaf vr: help wanted 3. Onward 2. Walking dead: saints and sinners 1. Boneworks (boneworks is only accessible using oculus link or virtual desktop.)
That's brilliant! This has to be new right? I've googled that many times before and people have set up spreadsheets and huge lists. I shall mention this next time, thanks! 👍
Mine just came in, a few things I don’t like is the head strap is actually worse than the first, audio is the same, but now it’s only one headphone jack instead of 2. Things I like is that it’s much higher quality graphics, controllers have better battery life, it’s lighter (although you wouldn’t know with the strap)
There’s an easy way to know whether a game supports cross-buy. Check the Headset Compatibility on the store. If both Quest, and Rift are listed in the same list, then it supports Cross Buy. But if it lists only 1 headset, Quest/Rift then it doesn’t.
This will be my first oculus headset! My only headset that was the Phone VR and PSVR which is like 4 or 5 years old. I tried the OG Quest at my friends house. Can’t wait until I get it!
Sign up as a developer account and get Sidequest as soon as you get a Quest. Crisis VRigade, Tea for God, and Pavlov Shack are Free MUST HAVE games. First steps, Big Screen, and Rec Room are the free must have apps from the store. Virtual Virtual Reality and Job Simulator are the first games I recommend people to purchase, they are cheap, creative, and very immersive. Lastly, Virtual Desktop should be purchased from the store, and sidequest store, as wireless PC VR is where all the real hype for Oculus Quest stems from.
Hey Al, great video with really helpful content. You've got me hyped for the 13th. Also as a refugee from the wastelands of Kidderminster, it's lovely to hear a familiar accent. Thanks.
@@guineafrost73 nah not really it's really easy. As soon as I get my Q2 I'll do a video on it as I'll want to do it so might as well film it. Edit: It's all done with normal Quest settings
Crisis vr is a must. Shows true Emersion as you do feel like your in a police shoot out. Also limits motion sickness for those new to vr. Be warned need space as you hace to move to move in the game. Get it from side quest.
Getting my Quest 2 tomorrow (according to the email with the shipping details) and I can't wait! I didn't know there were so many amazing free games for the headset.
I wish the shooter in first steps was a stand alone title with more content. It's like a beat saber type shooter. Not alot of those and I wish there were more. I like shooting ppl but sometimes targets at high speeds is more fun lol
I recently did the HumbleBundle VR collection that has Creed and Walking Dead Saints and Sinners for $17 there are 8 games total and they all look good, sometimes those bundles contain crap and you just gun for one or two of them for the deal. lol
I didn't really know how many games and what they were called as you said no number not wrote the gametitles.... Is this correct? 1. First steps / first contact 2. ECHO VR 3. Rec Room 4. VR Chat 5. Sidequest 6. Pavlion VR / Hyperdash 7. Thrill of the fight
Dude you are hilarious 🤣 you sucked me into vr so thanks I love it!! Was scared of oculus till I watched ur video about y too get it and then I died. Have subscribed.
About to get mine in a few days. I already have a CV1 but I'm so excited to finally be able to show VR to people without having to lug a PC and sensors around. I've praised VR to my friends but it's just impossible to describe how realistic and cool it is and it's been frustrating because I've been unable to show it Purely from an upgrade standpoint thought I really love the thought of playing wirelessly
Off topic but something I've been confused about. Do they ship out on the 13th or are they arriving on the 13th? and if they are shipping on the 13th how long does oculus usually take to ship? (PS This is my first video of yours but after I get to experience VR personally I will definitely be tuning in here for more VR content. Keep it up my man!)
really high quality content! i want to know all the pcvr games that has been ported to quest so far . would you bother making a list of those games on your upcoming video in the future?
To be fair that just signifies a small channel. As you get bigger people start giving you stuff for the exposure. But then some channels start with all the games because they're rich 🤣
@@VRCauldron I get it for sure, but I do not subscribe to those channels. I have worked for everything I have and own and can appreciate the guys that do it that way. I remember RU-vid before monetization and sponsorships and all of that crap. People used to post videos just to help other people. When someone says anything about Patreon or Joining the Channel so they can continue to provide content, I first roll my eyes and either unsubscribe or move on. Do it because you want to. Don't blow smoke up my ass or insult my intelligence with the making better content crap. LOL Just my .02 (insert your local currency here)
@@pekwalker yeah that makes sense. Although I have an absolute tonne of ideas that aren't just making game or program lists. I mean I try to make my game lists as interesting as possible through the script and jokes and that wouldn't improve if I had a patreon. However, I see my VR channel's future as including a lot more content like the fitness challenge video. Sadly it's really hard to do stuff like that because I have a job. If i was able to do this full time then I'd be able to do things like that. And of course I'd love doing it. Things like a patreon or other youtube related sources of income would allow me to get ultra creative with the extra time. But you're right there isn't really much of that about. And having said that I doubt I'll be thinking of a patreon for a long long time. I'm ok with ads for now. Nice bit of pocket money to buy games to try 👍
@@VRCauldron I'm not completely anti-Patreon or monetization. With my custom browser setup, ads never show on my computer anyway. I do subscribe to some channels that have Patreon and I actually support a couple. It's the ones that act like they will cease to exist without it that I avoid or ignore. I can appreciate the ones that do it all by hard work, skill, passion, and the want or need to help others. You can tell who those are. Anyway, I enjoy your content and look forward to see what's next.
@@pekwalker ah ok no that makes perfect sense. I would have just been sad to see someone leave if I ever did it but I get what you mean. When I used to Twitch stream i used to tell people not to subscribe and just get netflix or something instead. £6 a month is a lot of money for not much. Thanks again for the sub though and for sticking around 👍
This was great! Thanks! I have a Quest 1 now and wondering what should be the first things I should try on my new Quest 2 that will be better on the 2?
The quest 2 looks amazing I've always wanted to upgrade from the psvr since the quest has a bigger library of games, more pixels, higher graphics and its a standalone vr headset🤩
Just subscribed because you're fun to watch and always answer the question in my head, first can vr be used for fitness and now the top quest games that i should try first XD I'm definitely going to watch your videos while wait my quest 2 :) better keep 'em coming my dude!!
Hi Mate, great video again! I just wanted to give you some feedback on your thumbnails, I think they look too similar to each other, I come across a lot of your video’s and skip most of them, simply because I thought I already saw them because of the thumbnail. And I am sure I’m not the only one. It’s just a little point where I think you could reach a bigger audience with! Please keep up the great work, you’re video’s are really good and entertaining! 🙏🏻
Thanks very much! Yeah you know I totally agree and I thought that myself. Especially on about 3 or 4 Quest videos. Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I'm hoping this one is quite different though with those black boxes. 👍
@@BigBoy-gj5mc after a few patches Q2 will look great. Most people who have tried it already say it looks at least as good as rift s but without screen door. Latency will be the big thing rather than graphics but I can't tell the difference.
I'd say you probably made the right move. If you only want to do PCVR with low latency games like beat saber (because custom songs aren't a thing on the Quest anymore) it might be harder to justify a Quest 2 and link cable, but if latency is less of an issue or you want the flexibility to play a game without a PC, it's totally the right call. Plus this will continue to get updates for probably the next 2~ years.
About Kent's reply, I've found videos of people doing custom Expert + songs on the Quest 1 with the link cable connected to PC. Here's one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5Ajh6KhaZ5g.html
Are we receiving oculus oct13 because thats what mine said but youtubers are saying shipped oct 13 maybe because I ordered mine 8hrs after preorder launch
