@@glitchedblood Usually, yes. But the last time I checked, the Funimation Blu-ray for this show is in stereo for both language tracks. This makes the music removal in this vid a pleasant surprise for me, lol. I assume they used the OST and edited them to match the whole scene, then used an off-vocals extraction software to just get the voices and some sound effects. It’s possible that they used a much different method than what I described, but it’s simply a silly theory of mine, lol.
@@SonicandAllStarsActually, I used vocalremover.org, which removes background music through AI. It's good for getting instrumentals and vocal tracks for more obscure stuff. Though I only ran it through the second section of the scene. It wasn't necessary to run it through the first part.
This show has a reputation of making people(myself included) say “ I love this show, but I don’t know why I love this show” and now it’s clear it’s just Seinfeld for weebs
Normally, the RU-vid algorithm just says 'fuck off' in terms of recommending me things "based on my interests" or whatever. But every now and then, it'll hit the nail RIGHT on the head.
@@babykata-dt3ys I have been!! I'm on ep 14 and I like it a lot. The occasional strange scenes and mentions of kidnapping make me wonder if it'll take a dark turn some time! I am excited to find out :D
First 4 episodes were directed by a different person than the rest of the show and they were BORING AS HELL. I mean some people like them, but it's very by the book CGDCT/SOL. The rest of the show leans harder into Otaku culture, and absurdist humor, and although it's still SOL at heart it breaks up the monotony with weird scenes like the Shonen Jump inspired animate employees, and the Initial D inspired driving sequence.
I know that, before word meme was really prevalent (especially for video content) people would still call overlaying animation to audio an AMV even if it didn’t have actual music. Most AMV contests have a comedy category usually including a lot of content like this.
I've been feeling nostalgic for Lucky Star recently. I retrospective it's amazing that it wasn't canceled after the 1st episode. I remember everyone hated it, and the only saving grace was the Lucky Channel. No wonder the director got fired after the first 4 episodes.
@@R.T.and.J it's just that the first episode (where this video is from) is insanely boring. The show gets way better after that director wasn't part of it
6:13 I imagined this part of the scene with Tsukasa as George, Konata as Kramer and Miyuki as Jerry, just agreeing there. It fits them perfectly, I can almost hear them say something like that! Haha
Yeah. I've said this on my Twitter, but people have been making the comparison for years. I'm surprised that I'm seemingly the first one to mash the two together like this.
Konata is Jerry, Kagami is Kramer, Tsukasa is George, and Miyuki is Elaine. Also this scene always pisses me off. How do they just pull out food and eventually a person out of nowhere? They’ve got a pocket dimension and I’m pretty sure this never happens again.
It's anime, my friend, they are just painting the picture for us. If you had a conversation with someone about when you eat the strawberry off of a cake, I'm sure you'd visualise it in your head, so Lucky Star just shows you what they are thinking of. Only problem is, I have NEVER been able to find Choco Coronets anywhere, even in Japan when I was over there...
Ive never seen this anime but it seems like something i need right now. Simple but interesting art style, cute pastel colors that aren't eye blinding, cute voices that dont feel overdone or annoying. Anyways, thaks for making this ( •3•)👍
Please check it out, it's an older anime now, but it's aged pretty well. It's very chill, there's no thought-provoking plot, just anime girls talking to each other about conversations you may or may not have in real life. That's it really, it's great for that reason. I watched in back in 2014, and I'm really nostalgic for it now. It's memorable to me, and I'm currently reading the manga.
@@ctl9139 Nah, it's not boring. It's not supposed to be an action packed anime, if you want that, go watch Demon Slayer or something. It's a slice of life, it's not for everyone, but a lot of people will enjoy the change of pace.
@@CrizzyEyes Good news for you then... You can watch it subbed. I agree that dubs can often sound forced, or straight up bad, I don't watch dubbed anime anymore and haven't for a long time. But there's some that are done well. I think Lucky Star is actually pretty well dubbed, the voice actors behind the characters did a pretty good job at portraying them. BUT, as with most dubs, especially after getting so used to subbed anime, even I notice some strangeness. I think that's going to happen regardless. There are FAR worse dubs out there, I can say that much.
It just... doesn't feel like Seinfeld without each member of the cast somehow ruining each other's day through an extremely convoluted series of random events, y'know? Maybe it's a Lucky Stat thing...
"I'M A FLIPPER JERRY!" "Ya can't flip it George!" "Ya gotta FLIP Jerry!" "He says he's gotta FLIP Jerry--" "Kramer you flip it when there's onions on top?" "No that's CRAZY talk Jerry! I'm just saying isn't this America??? Shouldn't he have the RIGHT to Flip it over???" "I have the right to FLIP Jerry--" "But George you're losing food in the process--" "I'm losin' ONIONS Elaine, NEVER cared for them--" '"THAT is a bold faced lie!" "Whattaya talkin about Jerry?" "You eat Onions on your hot dog at every ball game--" "YA GOTTA HAVE ONIONS JERRY!" "YA GOTTA HAVE ONIONS FOR TONGUE GEORGE!"
This edit is just perfect. Chef's kiss. Loved watching Lucky Star off of RU-vid back in the day, but it never occured to me that it actually was just Moe Seinfeld: a cute show about nothing.
Oh my god, I saw this anime so long ago, I must've been brain dead when watching because I don't remember it being so boring lol. Probably the sleep deprivation helped. Seinfeld sfx were pretty funny.
