You were my first teacher on the internet. Seven years ago. Met a wonderful teacher in person. It's been my sunshine, my only sunshine sometimes... music is life
Thank you, thank you, thank you. My mom is my sunshine and now because of you she can listen to her baby boy play and sing for her. It's all because of you. I am her sunshine. It only took 61 years. I owe you big.
the main reason i even got a uke is because i wanted to learn how to play tear in my heart by Twenty One Pilots. i got it, learned it, and kept learning different songs!
I just started ukelele, and I've loved your tutorials! I'm so excited this came out, but it will be my third song instead 😆 (if you count twinkle twinkle and the ABC's as two separate songs... Which, you know, they aren't really! 😆)
I just bought a ukelele a bit ago and have been watching your videos religiously since then. Steven Universe actually inspired me to buy a ukelele and I’ve watched all of your SU videos MANY times, and I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on “Be Wherever You Are” or “We Are the Crystal Gems” (especially the version with young Steven!!) Thank you so much for making these videos, they’re by far the most helpful tutorials on how to play ukelele that I’ve found
I was told at school in music I was tone deaf so never tried. Now at 44 I'm trying to learn Ukelele. Away to try follow this lesson as only done chord progression so far. Also have arthritis in my hands but probably the more I play, my hands will get faster. I hope so anyway. Thanks for making these tutorials
I was so confused why it seemed harder than it should be and why I couldn't make it sound the same. So I watched and listened on .20 speed. He's not actually strumming the same patten he explained. There are extra notes and some times he squeezes in a full extra beat
Omg thank you! It's my first song to learn on the ukulele and I have a really hard time matching his tempo. The step from the first strumming pattern to the second one really threw me off. It was just too fast and I was so confused because it sounded really different😅 This would explain why it felt so weird (apart from my noob-ness)
Hi John ! It’s Deepa here, We used to work together at rbkc ! My daughter is learning the uke from your tutorials ! Great work and It’s lovely seeing you again !!!
I would love a tutorial for: > Blackbird by the beatles > Mmm mmm mmm mmm by crash test dummies > Still Alive & Want You Gone from Portal 1&2 > Maple Leaf Rag > Twelfth Street Rag
I think the song(s) you should learn first are songs that you just really wanna play and don't are too hard on beginners...It keeps you motivated. I could never motivate myself to practice "you are my sunshine " :D That's why I started with Radioactive, Wellerman and Pocahontas (german Song by AnnenMayKantereit). But as usual - great video! Btw: From personal experience I can also recommend to have a song that you practice every day in fingerstyle... It's just so different from "Chord-play" and for me it really helped with my hand coordination and also chord-switching.
I'd love to know how to play fools gold by one direction but i can't find a turorial for ukelele that sounds close to the original song Have you consider do one of that song?
The only chord I have a problem with is the g chord it always sounds bad only sometimes I strum it properly and it sounds nice and every beginner song has this chord I swearrr :(
