fellow members of the troc floc, I have ascended from watching clips of vods I already watched and am now watching clips of streams I already watch. the desire to point out the parts of the iconic intro that depict me and also calling gh a boomer live grew too great to resist i wish you all the best on your journeys
I mean he's right who cares how he labels things most of his viewers are in blue areas anyway it's not like he can affect change in politics and he's a comedy economics channel if we don't take lazerpig an actual real and good historian serious who was the first big person to debunk whittmann why would we take atroic serious.
@@DinoDAngelo-q9l im not saying hes wrong, i just hink he puts a lil too much stock in to what comments say. every other clip ive seen on him has him malding about a reddit post or comment.
@@DinoDAngelo-q9lbut he doesnt add context. In his analogy it would be like calling the fire truck green when its red, not a shade of crimson like he said. Without context he is literally spreading missinformation, as Id imagine most of his viewers will come out with a false belief about the national rally. Theyre right wing relative to other parties within France, but just saying "hard right" will leave a lot of his viewers thinking "oh so like Trump" when on policy theyre quite far from the guy. Tldr if labels are dumb and dont matter, why does he use them? Why not just say "a party that is on the right" or smthn.
Birthrates and economic purchasing power are slightly correlated (i.e with better economics you increase it by 0.2 at best). The only developed nation with well above replacement is Israel. Sweden spends 5x the US on pro natalist policies and has the same birth rates, the country with the highest native born birth rates in the EU is France and they spend a medium amount. Multiple studies have shown time and time again, economic pro natalist policies dont work, the problem is cultural.
Tbh, I think I disagree that the "not far right/left" distinction doesn't matter. I understand what Atrioc says that categorizations are not that important; but I do think they are useful. One of the big points of the video was that people are moving towards the EXTREMES. It wouldn't be particularly surprising if it was just a normal right wing party that suddenly got popular ( would all the leftists have formed a coalition if the party was only economically right-wing, for example? ). So IF they were right that RN isn't far right, it would be a very important correction as it would change the entire narrative, I think. However RN is as far right as they get lmaoooo. So I do agree with the video, I just think getting angry at the idea of those comments is pretty silly. The main and only reason those comments suck is bc they are misinformed, but the intention isn't bad
"We should have xQc be the ambassador to Canada or vice versa" is an amazing sentence cos vice versa would be Canada being the ambassador to xQc. Like he's so important we need all of Canada to drop what they're doing and just take up diplomatic duties with xQc on behalf of the United States
as a professional poker player the poker hand joke kinda hurt right in the feels man . On a unrelated not for the far right qualification the conseil constitutionnel ( the french equivalent to the suprem court) classsify the Rn as far right when france insoumise the party of jean luc Mélenchon which is often portray in french media as far light is classify as left only. ( I know all that because i am french and like politics not because i am terminally online i swear)
Brandon is a current unelected senator for Texas district 28 that lost by 403 votes right now in a recount while being outspent by 10x and his opponent being endorsed by top republicans he's the front runner for district 28 in 2026 he is an active RU-vidr politician Brandon and the Balkans guy that won def beat the French guy to being first lol.
5:00 "i dont think people have changed their opinions on having children bc people have wanted children forever" as if there hasnt been instability in the conditions for raising children for forever. There are perfectly fine birthrights in many countries that are financially worse off. The issue is definitely with people's perceptions and lifestyle desires
There's another youtuber politician, but he's far right insane bat shit crazy, in portugal, idk he just yells about how the exams for middle school are like bad or something, he is now in parliament
I agree the main reason for declining birth rates is financial instability, but I also believe changes in hormones are a major factor. Men’s testosterone has dropped by about 25% in the last 20 years and Japanese men have especially low testosterone. Considering that testosterone is the hormone meant to encourage sex and reproduction this might explain part of the birth rate decline
the effects of low testosterone, which is mainly caused by stress that people especially face when being over worked and financially unstable, isnt enough to decrease birthrates this much or even by any large margin
i think there is a large amount of people, idk if its the majority but it is significant, that people dont want to have kids because they are overly aware that it will cut into there time they want for themselves, i do think that another good portion if not the majority is also financial stability being a problem, but realistically its probably a mix of both being the top factors, and i think both views stem from how things are rn, but i do think its probably mostly from how people looked at their own parents growing up and are looking back on it now and being like "damn that shit would suck"
No offense but no. A majority of people know children do not hold you back. You can have a life with children. You can have fun with your children. It's just a financial burden for most. It can cost tens of thousands to near 100k just too have a child for the first 2-4 years. Then if your child is not perfectly healthy it can get even more expensive and a heartache. So it's just humans feeling like they can't provide for children. So they do not have them. It's been that way since humans have been keeping historical records.
Atrioc is wrong, GDP per capita decrease percentages when the capital is removed is higher for paris france, and for Copenhagen denmark, than in London and the UK

3:16 this has solidified my belief that Atrioc curates his content for people who exclusively wear velcro shoes. I could eat lead every day for every meal for 20 years and come up with a better take than this.
He ironically debunks himself immediately after. The wording here obviously matters as he uses the mainstream media narrative as evidence for wording in political conversation not mattering.
someone tell him that a french right wing party leader got kicked out of his party so he locked himself in the office and posted like he was still working like usual and another politician made a big show of getting a key to get him out
As a French, here's some update : Bardalla side lost, even if they got some power at the assemblée nationale, right wing alliance(NFP) gonna govern with Macron, with a keynesian program. Here, people have like 1400€ to survive a month, so a bump to tht is greatly appreciated. It goes as follow for the result : right wing > macron's side> radical left wing
4:50 Thousands of years where people wanted to have kids, the majority of the years the economy wasn't in a good spot for the avg person yet people still had kids
In those years childhood wasn't a thing: children were a helping hand on the fields as soon as they could walk. Yeah, we can eat more protein in the modern world, but it is harder to raise children: there is no community support while under 18, and even when they grow up, in this economy you can't expect them to give back. The nuclear family is also partially to blame: one parent entirely gives up their most important thing in the society (carrier), or both parents do their part in addition to working. In the middle ages children were more communally raised, you could safely let them out of the house, because there were no cars. Modern suburbia makes children a burden, and an isolated island of two people has to bear them.
Le Pen is not far right tho. You could have maybe called her far right decade ago, but she's moved a lot closer to center. Mainstream media just loves to call every right from center right wing party "far right" in Europe. If you don't want to obsess about political categorization, just call it right wing. There are actual far right parties in France and Germany, but they come with obvious policies that don't really leave any room for debate.
So she’s a far right politician who white washed her policies to seem less extreme, that’s nothing new she’s basically French Meloni she even has the tri color flame of the MSI as her party logo just in French colors.
the party was founded by le pen's father a holocaust denier, self confessed torturer during the algerian war where he lost his precious engraved hitler youth dagger so i'm not sure what else you could call them
And even now it's not much better someone made a map to keep track of every RN candidates that are either sexists, have comited fraud, commited acts of violence, racists, antisemits, supremacists, holocaust deniers..... And there are 125 of them (including the nazi hat girl, the one who did an armed hostage-taking or the guy who threatened to run over a black priest because of his origins)
3:16 the problem is that, just like when atroc thought Destiny was alt-right, these labels are so loosely applied, it’s so easy to label anyone something horrible to dismiss them. A lot of the times, it’s the people who dont care about misusing labels that hurt the discourse and cause conflict.
It's interesting because yes the useless categorization is fucking annoying but listing a conservative party "far right" is also the same act of useless categorization. The cringus runs so deep and I just wanna game, man.
Marine le Pen has supposedly been a moderating presence for the party, and according to Wikipedia is distancing herself from more radical elements within the party. Idk anything about French politics though, so take this with a grain of salt
Marine LePen is "distancing" herself from radical elements only to improve her image. But she is still the racist and bigoted leader of the far-right she's always been.
The people that don't like that party will disagree with you because it's advantageous for them to do so. The party is anti immigration which is considered far right to leftists and left leaning people.
"thousands of years of human history of people wanting to have kids and now they suddenly don't" yea but for thousands of years overpopulation wasnt a real concern, plus i swear people back then just be having kids cos they were bored and it was expected, not cos they really wanted kids. bad take small a
People are upset about categorizing parties or groups as far right because groups like national rally often have platforms that were just considered right leaning 30 years ago but are now far right. Similarly it would have been unthinkable for major politicians to talk about forcing companies to sell ownership to employees, but today that is one of Bernie's regular talking points.
bro 30 years ago the national rally was called the national front and they werent considered far right they were considered fascist the views the party shares now is less extreme than 30 years ago
@@lilbltxh people don't care about what their platform was 30 years ago they care about about what it is now relative to what was normal 30 years ago. Also it is a bit counter intuitive to refer to a party competing for majority with terminology that refers to fringe ideology. Their opinions can no longer be considered fringe.
@@rangerpritchard7546 your argument was that 30 years ago a party like national rally would be considered centre right this is simply not true nazis were very popular the first time they got elected doesnt mean they werent fascist
@@lilbltxh their current platform simply isn't fascist, by definition that would make them a socialist nationalist party which they certainly aren't, and far right refers to what segment of the population agrees with them, essentially you are saying that the half of the country that agrees with them are extremists, which by definition they are not
@@rangerpritchard7546i never said they were fascist now i said they used to be considered fascist they are now considered far right because they changed their views i said this to prove to you we wouldve still called their current views far right 30 years ago i brought up nazis as an example where even tho majority of germany voted for them they are still considered fascist i dont think everyone who voted for nazis in the 1930s was a fascist obviously there were a lot tho far right does not refer to what segment of the population agrees with them it refers to their ideas which the national rallys ideas are nationalism and anti immigration and anti people who arent french i do not believe everyone who voted for them are extremists even if i did its only 30% or whatever which is still byfar the biggest majority but the people who vote dont decide what the ideology of the party is the party decides their ideology and the people decide if they like it maybe youre getting hung up on the nazi thing so lets change nazis for communists if communists won 51% of the populations vote would that mean the party is now no longer extreme or far left because most people agree and voted for them
