I respectfully disagree Love Darts. The Los Angeles Times report on racism in the workplace is a wake-up call to all of us. It proves that racism is alive and well in America, even in the most seemingly progressive workplaces. This is not just a problem for Black and Hispanic employees, it is a problem for all of us. We all need to work together to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace. The co-hosts of Fox News' The Five are wrong to dismiss the study. They are just trying to protect their own privilege. They don't want to admit that racism is a real problem in America. They would rather pretend that everything is fine, but we all know that's not the case. We need to listen to the voices of Black and Hispanic employees. They are the ones who are experiencing racism in the workplace. They are the ones who know what it's like to be discriminated against. We need to believe them when they tell us about their experiences. We also need to do more to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace. We need to start by educating ourselves about racism. We need to learn about the history of racism in America and how it continues to impact people today. We also need to create policies and practices that promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace. We can't afford to ignore racism in the workplace. It is a real problem that is harming people. We need to work together to create a more just and equitable society for all.

It’s all pretty crazy. I never even think of color when thinking about people. But they bring it up all the time and then it makes me think of color. In my opinion, color doesn’t matter. We are all of color. I just happen to be white but that is a color. My nephew (in law) is black and one summer I was as dark as he was. So, I don’t get it.

How how can they ever become supervisors? They can’t rate people on performance only coming to the office when it’s convenient. Have cameras in their faces? Over their shoulders? Listening to their phone conversations remotely? Cameras everywhere monitoring movements? The resentment will increase and workers will just leave.

You should watch establishment news. Fox News is extremely biased and filled with propaganda. Most programs on Fox News are opinionated programs aimed to persuade folks like you to not watch other programming. It’s propaganda 101, but folks fall for it all the time. Only trust me, don’t trust others as they are lying to you. Let’s think about the tragedy in Maui for a minute. Not even mentioned on The Five. Dozens of people have died, weather and destruction not seen in recordable times, but you won’t see it here because it doesn’t fit into their climate change isn’t man made narrative. Please educate yourself by watching or reading a variety of news, not just from channels that affirm your way of thinking. I watch a span, BBC, CBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, Fox among others. I also read from the Wall Street, Reuters, Associated Press, etc.

I have a friend who negotiated hard about not returning to work in person. She justified herself by saying she could get more done at home, it was more flexible, it was more time efficient, it saved gasoline and was good for the environment, on and on. After listening it seemed obvious that the end goal was to avoid the fifteen-mile commute and be able to set her own schedule. She negotiated a three days onsite/two days home schedule... Until her manager was replaced. She now works in the office five days a week. 😂

People who think WFH means not working don't like data. It was such a cost saver for us, people were more flexible. Could it be that these people didn’t want to commute to work in the first place? EVERYONE WOULD WORK FROM HOME IF GIVEN THE CHANCE! I’m still trying to work from home one day a week! Returning to work makes sense for jobs that actually require someone to be on-location, like cooking or cleaning etc. If an employee is able to work from home and be efficacious at their job, let them. Especially if it means companies don't have to spend money buying or leasing properties in big cities, specifically NYC, because that will starve the hell holes of tax money.

Working from home is nice. The other side of the story is humanity. We as people need to meet new coworkers and socialize with other humans for many reasons. Mainly for other opinions, to create new ideas to better ourselves. We definitely need freedom of speech. Now, yes, if someone in the office is being irate in the work place. We've given "black mayors" all power to call for the shots, both in Chicago & NYC. We figure they know how to reach the people as great pubic servants. However; looter, riots, & lawlessness becomes a main concerns for both big CITIES. We need to go back to TOUGH on crimes, & DOJ should protect innocent citizens (including mayor's families)! OR we'll all perish.

Name the individual who was racist or get fired. Companies wish to take concerns seriously and don't want to face liability for failing to. But if black folks don't want to work with white folks or vice verse that's segregation and potentially racist, going back to work away from home isn't.

I love working from home and have never quoted racism as a reason to stay home. This is a leap for me, considering if someone is going to judge you they can do that already based off of how your name sounds or based on your appearance via Zoom.

I disagree, I cannot stand open office setups. If you work on anything confidential or restricted or need to have performance conversations with directs you have to try to find a room. You can never focus because people are constantly blabbing and worst of all the equipment is far inferior to what many have at home, even in fortune 500 settings (garbage thin clients and low res monitors).

city living conditions (conditions inside city limits) can't sustain family life anymore. that's the problem. people, families, workforces, (anything involving people), can't operate in broken city living conditions. 'going back to the office' means 'moving back to the cities'. and people literally can't do that safely and survive.

I think the flaw here is that a vast majority of 'racism' is just a perception, and not actual. Since everything is being labeled as racist these days, they have been conditioned to believe that anything negative MUST be because of racism. I am getting sick of it.
