@@theyokester3541 even season 7 CGI was fairly good. There were only two instances of noticably bad CGI in S7. Fuerza in the first half & Impulse's running form in the latter half
@@lucas_leoheart no it’s a speed mirage time remnants are physical doubles that are actually there the speed mirage is kinda like a mirror version sorta
Why not just make a full copy of himself like thawn did at the end of s5 that wasn't a speed mirage he was on 2 ends of the city racing the "fast man alive" he's not that fast and they physically hurt them while fighting that move would be more handy than this
He did against the royal flush gang he went into flash time and beat they’re ass earlier in the episode but what good would a speed punch do against a giant pink monster
@@BigZ-19 Barry was creating a vacuum in order to try to make Despero breathless and therefore knock him out. The episode literally states that. Try watching the episode next time.
@@Technobuilder This would be nice, but I'm afraid Ryan Choi (there's pics of him as the new Atom in the set) will be full time Atom and Ray will retire for good, unfortunately.
I love Legends but seeing that we could’ve had Ray Palmer like that…also of course there’s a little Superman reference with how he rips his shirt off lol
I am so glad that Ray was taken out of Legends of Tomorrow, because he was not meant to be a joke character, he is meant to be The Atom. He was the man who figured out Oliver Queen was The Arrow in Season 3, and the man who messed with experimental technology to be a hero in order to avenge his fiancé after the Purge, and eventually became a target for Damian Dark. That is not the man who is supposed to joke around on a time ship. That is a man who is supposed to be the closest thing to a mentor and friend Barry has had since Oliver.
no, ray could never be a mentor to Barry. They're both light hearted people. Barry is inspired by the arrow before he gets his powers and he sticks with him after being shot two arrows in the back as a lesson. Turns out the arrow sacrifices himself for the flash and supergirl, thinking they can help save the universe. Not quite ray palmer, I mean he would sacrifice himself, but that's not him that's required
Barry didn't need a mentor since season 3, and to be fair, this Atom Is more lighthearted since Arrow comparing him with his comic counterpart, but he works best when he's actually using his intelligence and powers instead of just being a goofball with a team of other goofballs lol
It’s awesome to see ray again, maybe he’ll visit the legends one day and help them stop a threat (example: bishop or reverse flash as wells or vandal savage)
@@DgardsGaming that's why I said Superman Returns... he literally played Superman in Superman Returns back when Kevin Spacey wasn't facing serious sexual assault charges
@@yuryuh have you ever read a rebirth comic. This is exactly the kinda stuff Barry does with his villains. He uses tricks known to him, and uses the speed force to his advantage
@@tanmaydeshpande Reading flash since i can remember. Have u ever seen a genuine comment? I said nothing or gave a topic of argument. All i did was laugh at dudes comment . The fact tht ur saying this is what he does in rebirth, is exactly why flash fans were 60/40 with flash rebirth until a certain point. So stop cuz now u got me fukin crying.😂😭😭 I think the question is… Have u read flash before and after rebirth?💀💀
I liked this battle. Flash and Atom were using tactics in this fight, and Despero was well-visualised on the show's budget. Granted, the CGI may not have been as amazing as it was for rendering the likes of Gorilla Grodd and King Shark when The Flash was at the height of its popularity (and had more budget to play around with), but this was still the best stuff I've seen from the show in a long time. What I really liked was how the Atom was used here. I always felt the character (and Brandon Routh) had been cruelly under-utilised in Legends Seasons 4 & 5 (especially after how good Brandon was in Crisis). This was much more like it. Overall, a good start to Flash Season 8.
I actually like that Flash uses more of the small tactics on his own like he tried speed mirage without anyone telling him, it makes the fight more realistic in my opinion
@@error9305 yea this season i think that they are making stronger villains and i think there are going to be those small fights like they did for Royal Flush Gang
@@littlehhh4338 the CGI here is fine though definitely not as horrible as that angry force girl in season 7 and some of the CGI in that season. Even though I agree they could always use monster make up and then use VFX to make the monsters look bigger. WB can do it e.g... Legacies on the CW has had some great make up for it's monsters of the week villains.
@@WhoTfIzKTManee I hope the same thing too man. Supposedly this season is going to show off Barry’s true power, so let’s hope we get the op Flash we always wanted. Also the main villain for the rest of season 8 is supposed to be a really scary one, so let’s hope it’s a version of Red Death
Yeah Despero’s CGI alone is really good, but I do hope to see some improvements to the running scenes and Barry’s lightning as I feel like they aren’t quite as good
That was my thought too. Chances are Despero naturally thought that because The Flash is a Speedster, he thought that he was the threat. He likely doesn't know about Thawne, so he immediately jumps to conclusions. However, we don't know the whole story yet. There's a chance Despero could actually be right.
He thought it was barry because .. *(At your own risk) Spoiler: scroll down* Reverse flash now looks like barry and not wells, this can be confirmed from the comic and the last scene is the flash season 8 trailer.
How fast did Barry go to make that speed mirage? That was awesome.Someone should make an accurate list of speed feats for Cw Flash all the way up until this episode.
The true, alien form of Despero I liked too. When the Legends saw Kayla and Gary taking human form using alien technology, sure didn't seem unlikely for other aliens like Despero to do the same.
As cool as the miniaturization scene of Atom saving flash was, I got to admit, it was unecessary given Flash could have easily dodged it on his own Which makes Flash's line of "Now I know how Diggle feels" Even funnier as many times Diggle pointed out being brought with super speed was unnecessary
Now, see, this is what I don't get about the Flash. As someone who has almost limitless speed, why wouldn't you react instantly when you see a bad guy reaching for his transform-o-belt and just... I don't know, remove it? Pull his pants down around his ankles? Break his fingers? Grab something heavy and bash him over the head? Or, Hell, just run up and punch him in the nuts fifty times as soon as you enter the room! I will never understand how Barry always lets his villains make the first move. Is it just considered polite to wait?
Well he did against the royal flush gang he just went into flash time and knocked they’re ass out and a speed punch wouldn’t do anything against despero and Barry wasn’t sure if he was gonna try something on his friends so that’s why he did a vacuum
@@night-streakmedia3319 See, something I loved when Barry did the Flash Time thing with the Royal Flush Gang is that actually shows how far Barry has come in recent years. He's now able to deal with metahumans in a way that shows he is leveling up and he doesn't struggle with criminals anymore. Plus, it was awesome and funny as hell. I was half-expecting him to start whistling when he was in Flash Time. At that point, I would've been on the floor laughing. I agree The Flash has diminished in recent years, but this episode has rekindled my faith in it pretty significantly.
Amazing how Barry is always a supporting character, it seems that the directors and screenwriters don't know the character... it's a shame as he's a great character.
