Heather Bogle worked at a Whirlpool factory in Ohio. After she disappeared, the search was on, but she wouldn't be missing for long. When the investigation to find whoever did this began, the lead investigator was full sure he know who did it. Blindly, falsely sure.

@katiek3396
@katiek3396 3 года назад
I doubt it. There are people who have been proven innocent but it takes YEARS to be released when it should be immediate release. It's due to the DAs and prosecutors not allowing a new trial meant for release because they hate being wrong they say that person is guilty till the very end. Eventually they get let out and of course sue and take up to millions in restitution all paid for by us the tax payer. All for the stubbornness of the judicial system.

Sadly its more of a symptom of the problem than the real issue For profit prisons are big business, prosecutors just want a win so will withhold evidence in discovery, bring in BS forensics like bite mark evidence etc not DNA Cops barely ever face repercussions and penalties for corruption and straight up murder, and with civil forfeiture basically just fleece civilians for millions by claiming it might be for a crime..while we militarize the shit out of them It shouldnt be such a hot button issue to adress these things, they all breach the very core values of the constitution, so even the most die hard nationalists and trump cultists should clamour for these problems to be addressed, and for cops to face charges when they commit crimes. But even though modern police are a very recent concept theres this religious fervor to defend their institutions..even though it would be better for them AND us if they faced better oversight, and we started having professionals deal with mental health risks, disputes, and only deploy cops for what theyre meant for instead of everything. But, like with politics being tainted by super PACS and corporations, theres so much money in prison business to keep the insane war on drugs going, and police act like the mob by stamping out any whistleblowers or attempts to reform them

I have deeply researched the sentences law enforcement have gotten (or rather not gotten) once charged and found guilty of sex crimes. Sex crimes are by far the most commonly committed crimes by law enforcement even though this rarely gets discussed. Maybe because these crimes are mostly committed against children the person knew or is related to not necessarily always connecred to their work in law enforcement. But the fact is, they are trusted in their jobs with power and authority, even having the power of life and death, just to find they are having sex with children and/or viewing child porn. Predators who hide behind the public trust. There is also a problem with cops coercing sex from adults in custody, including sex workers. These cops use the threat of arrest to sexually abuse. Cops also have sexual contact with sex workers during prostitution stings which is rape by deception, consent is negated. In one case, a police chief got probation after abusing a three year old. Cases like that are a reality. This world. Ugh.

It’s almost like this guy had some protective shield; dead girlfriend, dead co-worker, creepy photos, an underwear collection, and at least 10 women being assaulted by him over the years. @Kitten Lyric I think he's killed before, the lengths he went too, the only thing he couldn't control was her phone pings, but he went above and beyond to get rid of evidence. What scares me is, his first girlfriend and mother of his kid was dead by an apparent suicide, which I don't bidve even if they found a le[[r, it could of been written years before, it could of been written under duress, it could of been a purely innocent note that wasn't meant as a suicide note at all, but her just getting her feelings out in a diary etc. I have tonnes of diaries I've kept over the years and I could almost certainly guarentee that there would be at least one page that could of been turned into a suicide note when it was just a diary entry. Easily. I was advised years ago to keep a diary, to write out all my feelings, anger, upset, depression etc. into this diary to get rid of it so I could function in life and its worked for me, however when telling others to try it, I always say if your writing about dark stuff always add in there somewhere that you'd never ever do anything to yourself, just so it could never be used in the wrong way. I know I'm safe but ther~ are so many women being murdered by abbusive spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends etc. that I feel it's better to be safe than sorry. I wonder if now he's been done for this murder, will they look into his exs death again just to be sure? I know they took a relook 10 years ago but he'd not been done for murder then, the position of that gun looks off to me and would she of left her kid?

It is because police in the US only have a six months training period. Some police unions deny police districts to fire useless criminal cops. Other unions refuse to allow police districts to do background checks on new hired cops. They haven't left the 1800's yet.

@@imdbtruth I take absolutely zero pleasure in people making false claims of racism the same way I take absolutely zero pleasure in women making false claims of rape. I think it is painfully clear to anyone with a brain that people can take advantage of the idea of "victimhood", in any situation, in order to achieve nefarious and/or selfish means. I believe that this type of behavior definitely harms those with true experiences of racism and or rape/sexual assault. However, this verity does not then afford me the right to completely deny any/all allegations of racism or any/all allegations of rape. Instead, it is best for me to use my brain to determine when the allegations are justified and when they are not. All I ask, is that the rest of society try and do the same rather than outright denying every instance of allegations regarding racism or rape/sexual assault in their effort to stand up against false allegations of the same -- as this does nothing to help either cause.

Honestly makes me a little uncomfortable when refusals to lie detector tests and DNA is seen as a reason for suspicion. Then going right back and using the refusal as evidence for a warrant. Effectively making it mandatory.
@Theaielman

I can get that....but at the same time I really don't understand why someone would refuse if it means helping solve the brutal murder of a mother to a 5 year old girl, especially if they had nothing to do with it. One would think a decent person would put aside their personal reservations against giving their DNA for the sake of solving such a case, but that's just me.
@Seth_Peterson
@Seth_Peterson Год назад
@@Theaielman because regardless of wether you are innocent or not False positives are possible and have happened with lie detector tests. In a perfect world I would agree with you, of course you want the case to be solved especially when it involves a child but the reality is that there are detectives that just want to close the case. If they are convinced you did it they will do everything in their power to make you look guilty instead of considering all possibilities. Do some research and you will find numerous instances where innocent people caught in the middle of an investigation try to help the detectives or just talk to them in general and they get painted into a corner and convicted of the crime. Only later to find that they were innocent only because the right people look into the case. The “innocence project” I believe it’s called is a great example.
@Theaielman
@Theaielman Год назад
@@Seth_Peterson Refusing a lie detector is fine because they are not remotely reliable or accurate and arent even admissable but DNA? The probability of a False positive is less than 1%. Maybe in the very early days where the testing was far less advanced or even mostly relied just on blood type, but since 2003 at least the probability is almost zero. In fact the reason the innocence project has been successful is BECAUSE of how precise and accurate modern testing is.

I doubt they have stopped their drug and petty crime careers. Probably still serving time for the crimes that they are guilty of. I think why he assumed they were in on the murder was because they were KNOWN CRIMINALS and had outstanding warrants and pending charges and Heathers car happened to be found where they lived. Nothing to do with color of skin. It was because they were known and wanted criminals. Fortunately they are petty, stupid druggies and not murderers. Regardless, they still should not have been harrassed like that.

@@user-gj1me4mf5c This is a funny comment. "Those petty stupid druggies got what was coming to them... oh but I'm not excusing the officers actions at all" yeah right. Based on the information ThatChapter provided us we can confidently conclude that this guy is a shitty detective so I'm not sure why you're excusing his dumbass excuse of "well since they commited one crime they must have also committed this one". That original crime you'll recall were foind to be bogus charges by the same detective, later revoked. Second, Keyona Bor had neither been charged with any prior crimes nor was investigated for any drug crimes so I'm not sure where you get off labelling her a petty stupid druggy. Finally as much as I hate to agree with a comment as brain-dead as yours, his actions probably weren't racially motivated. The detective was just a lazy, negligent piece of shit who nearly permanently tainted the job prospects of one guy and lost another gal her job as well as being significant pain in her life. But hey that's just what KNOWN PETTY DRUGGY CRIMINALS deserve right? Give me a fucking break.
