I was a friends with Paige, our kids played together. I attended a dozen of her Pampered Chef Parties. I know everything about this case: I was at the candle light vigil, searched the desert (including Wells Gulch Road), sat through the entire trial, kept in touch with her parents. I was listening for inconsistencies, but the narrator pretty much nailed it. Bravo.

I am sorry for the loss of your friend. :( May I ask: were you aware of her escort service occupation or was that super hush hush not even friends knew? I realize that's a personal question, I just wonder if it might have been related to the fact she just simply never let anyone know about her "other life" which can of course be very dangerous.

There's something SO WRONG that we find our respite in a Brutal crimes show :) But Mike is just funny as heck and enjoyable to watch and to be fair, it's the RARE show that really hits me hard. It's a detached view of people we don't know. No worse than reading crime in the newspapers. But when it involves kids or other defenseless groups, then it gets tough to just let it slide off. But for the most part, Mike is like a teddy bear you hold when you go to bed. And i'm a 54 year old guy :)

@Isabella-nh5dm
@Isabella-nh5dm 2 года назад
It's funny because that's what I have always thought. I cannot believe the number of people I have known that have never discussed this before marriage! It is mind boggling. One of the most basic things. It's as if they gave no thought or talked about their hopes ands goals if life! (Cause for me that would have come up)
@jayeckson
@jayeckson 2 года назад
Sometimes it doesn't matter even if you do. I was very clear with my spouse before marriage that while I think kids are great, I did not want any of my own. He told me he never wanted kids either. Months into the marriage he said he'd changed his mind because he loved me so much he wanted a family with me. But he's also hinted that he always wanted kids, and only said otherwise because he wanted to marry me and was hoping I'd change my mind.

@Sylveon1002 2 года назад
You should definitely discuss children before marriage,but they also married right after high school. It’s not uncommon for 18/19 year olds to feel very differently about wanting children in their mid 20s/30s then they did as teens.
@SuziMcCrory
@SuziMcCrory 2 года назад
What would be worse is finding out they don't want kids after you have kids. She did the right thing finding a different partner instead of taking it upon herself to bring a child/children into the first marriage. Definitely a conversation that needs to be had, ideally before getting married. BOTH partners should be on board BEFORE anyone gets pregnant. Birth control is so incredible now, it lends itself wonderfully to family planning.

Oh he'd dump her remains in a remote location? Where else would a murderer dump remains? Had he told his ex he'd suffocate her with a pink polka dot pillow case, wrap her body in orange nylon cord, encase her body in lucite, and sign his initials, and then they found Paige like that, then maybe he'd look guilty, or maybe his ex did it to frame him hmmmmmmmm.

Right? It was heartbreaking hearing his voice crack like it did. Seemed like a very nice man.

Mike your the coolest. Really like your postings. Better than watching 4 hours of an interrogation and ends like a movie you wished would have ended differently. But I think you do a great job.

I’m not 100% convinced on physical evidence. Now, this doesn’t mean I feel he didn’t do it, but there was nothing but circumstantial evidence. No DNA, No CCTV, Nothing…… I believe they needed a scapegoat.

No motive, no history, nothing to gain. I still believe he did it, but yeah this is about the weakest case I've ever seen get convicted. It was so weak a public defender won the first trial lol.

I'm on the fence also BUT he was a very accepting of that guilty plea...not a shake of his head, slump of his shoulders or a look of shock....I know everyone reacts to situations differently but being found guilty of murder and kidnapping if you are 100% innocent??? You would think that at the VERY least a token " No...You're all wrong!" would be uttered. Pretty sure I'd be on my feet screaming my innocence.

@@reignman30 Lester had a motive. He wanted to be Paige's client, but she refused to have anything to do with him. She was likely the victim of a rage killing, judging by the condition of her remains. Also, when police called him, they did not mention disposing of a body, but Lester asked if they wanted to know about that. The officer on the line was very surprised at the time, but just let him keep talking.
