Just wanted to add ONE point about almonds and almond flour as you use this in keto desserts. Just buy organic almonds / almond flour and this is naturally GMO-free.
Is GMO free sufficient or it must be organic as well? It is very hard to find organic almond flour. Also is the blanched almond flour better to consume?
Maybe not GMOed, but that says nothing about the Glyphosate or Neuro-toxic Pesticides. "ORGANIC" is about the plants DNA, nothing about Toxins is assured anywhere in that verbiage.

Something I've looked at are farmers that use a cover crops that work with their crops to limit or replace herbicides and pesticides. This does several things. 1.) Chokes out most of the weeds, 2.) bring in the beneficial insects that eat the harmful ones, and 3.) this works better with vermiculture (worms) to promote healthy root systems and immunities in the plants.
Here in Iowa, cover crops for corn and soybean fields are killed by...you guessed it, herbicide! Probably glyphs. Surprised that wheat and oats aren't there. They are often sprayed just before harvest so the crop dies evenly to facilitate harvest.
A main reason they rotate crops with legumes is for nitrogen fixation. Nitrogen is very mobile in the soil as it tends to leach and run off, especially after rain. Legumes have a symbiotic relationship with rhizobia. This bacteria fixes inert N2 into Ammonia (NH3) which is available to plants for uptake. Just a little tip from a botanist! Yes i went to school for botany and horticulture :-)
I’m allergic to glyphosate and the doctors said I had celiac disease, fibromyalgia and then peripheral neuropathy and had to stay on medications for the rest of my life that don’t really help, so I threw out there meds and quit everything in life I loved till I only ate washed steamed rice and bottled water and go figure all of the diseases went away ! LOL ! Now I’m pain free !
In 1983 my father was commander of an army base when they started using round up as part of the groundskeeping . He had to review the approval to use it. I'm pretty sure that it was absolutely not to be used on food crops back then. They mostly only used it around trees before adding mulch, and in really overgrown areas that needed to be cleared out. They closed off the playground near the officers quarters to spray around trees every spring. It is not a weed killer. It is an herbicide. It kills *all* plants with shallow roots by killing their root systems. (Unless you buy the patented seeds from Monsanto that are immune to it.) Even back then my mother said it caused cancer. Back in 1983, only a year or two after it was introduced, they knew it caused cancer.
I used it for things like pavement or if I was doing a complete lawn reno. I used to buy it from a farmers outlet and one time came across a pamphlet on corn seed that was resistant to it.

Oatmeal, Quaker Oats is 1000 PPBillion and is one the the highest if not the highest in round-up of any food. Add that to the list! So glad to hear about cruciferous vegetables in eliminating the round-up toxins in our bodies.
I was under the impression that grains were high in glyphosate due to the practice of spraying the grains before harvest -- this kills the stems and makes it easier to harvest. Glyphosate is also sprayed around coconut palms to kill off the grasses (like almonds and apples and dates). Hard to tell if "organic" coconuts haven't had the poison sprayed around the trees, since organic seems to mean that the plants themselves aren't sprayed. Also -- the list you show is surprisingly alphabetical.
They are, there are documentaries on it that I've watched. It's pretty sad to see the poison they use on our food. Corn is a common feed they use for farm animals that gets into their systems, which we consume and ultimately take in glyphosate that way as well.
Also beware the Farmers Market scammers, who buy fruit and veggies straight from Walmart and just repackage it to look like it is fresh from the farm and double the price.
Right. Produce stickers are lazily still attached! Cracks me up. When you ask them they say, well we were out so we bought some to have on hand for those who REALLY need them. RIGHT.
How would you recommend vetting farmers market produce sellers to ensure that they didn't do this? I've heard "ask them for a detailed explanation of their farming process", but are there any other suggestions?
I started growing my own vegetables this year. I’m so glad I have. I love asparagus and it’s high on the list. I’ve saved my seeds from everything I’ve grown for next spring. I don’t use fertilizer or pesticides.

Thanks for pointing that out. Nobody is infallible. I've noticed an error here and there or miscommunication on things in the past; but it's clear for me that his heart is in the right place overall. I am troubled that I've been eating non-organic almonds that may be highly sprayed with Monsanto death chemicals, but not as troubled seeing this possible miscommunication error. In the past I recall he has even claimed walnuts were the most sprayed/most important to get organic; so who really knows? The lesson seems to be that the more we are conscious of the sources of our foods, the better. Thank you.
Trees are perennial and would never be sprayed with glyphosate EVER. He is wrong glyphosate is a herbicide not a pesticide. One kills plants the other insects.
The only way forward for effective crop production is to adopt the Bio-dynamic principles put forward by Rudolph Steiner. It's effective, healthy and sustainable.
Its also ridiculously overcomplicated. Permaculture and regenerative Ag are easier to learn by far.. But basic organic farming works too, esp in combo with other systems--compost, manure, crop rotations and cover cropping. Regenerative grazing too. Animals are great at healing land and soils, just don't overgraze.
You're all correct...but man, farming is very difficult work. It takes a lot to grow enough food to feed a small family. We don't use anything - on our apples, pears, plums or garden veggies, and we raise pastured, grass fed sheep, with no vaccines or other chemicals... it is very humbling, tough work. You really appreciate it when you get a decent crop to can for the pantry. Between the slugs, grasshoppers, moths and caterpillars, powdery mildew and blight....lol, just sayin'
@@beaupeep - Respect to you for pulling it off. Have you studied Bio Dynamics ? and the the things that are used to increase yield and to ward off pests ?

True, but that mix won't do what Roundup does for roundup resistant crops. However, I can say that mix doesn't work that well on non-crop use, but then again the premix crap we are allow to by of the original Roundup is not as effective as it once was either. Also, remember that glyphosate replaced paraquat (I hope I got that spelling right).

Stop eating almonds because of their water footprint. A single almond needs more than three gallons of water to mature. The almond growers in Central Calif. use more water than the LA, SF and San Diego regions combined.
Years ago farmers would spray round up to kill everything in a field wait two weeks and plant the desired crop. The round up was never on the plants you eat but now they spray the crop just before harvest coating your food with it. I wonder why there is a problem with round up now.
Crops that get sprayed also get rained on, and then that rain runs off into rivers and lakes and water supplies where it winds up in our drinking water or being used to water other crops with.
The best thing we do is to grow Our own food and eat less consume less and dont buy big brands if everybody do this our earth could be a better place to live in .
@@Drberg California almond farmer here. This is borderline misinformation. Yes, glyphosate is used for killing weeds, but it's not directly applied to the fruit (nut) on the tree. The fruit is suspended on branched anywhere from 4 to 20 feet off the ground and is never in contact with the weed or soil, in which the glyphosate is applied to. It's also not known to drift very far from it's application site, and due the fact you are applying it inside an orchard, wind is almost not ever a factor. Where are you getting your data from and how is it being measured?
@@MrJoeycrackers Would you feel conformable eating the almonds after spraying around them? Same day? or would you want to wait a couple days/weeks? And how do you think it's #1 on that list? The answer and best way to beat any GMO and glyphosate or pesticides are to grow your own favorite veggies and fruits! During the Great Depression 1929, those families who grew their own food survived. The term for growing your own resources during that era became known as *VICTORY GARDENS.*
It's nice to be able to grow your own food, but that requires having land on which to grow. Many live in apartments, or live in row houses with only a tiny patch of cement in the back just big enough to park a small car, and where the front of the house meets the sidewalk, so no farm land to speak of.
@@300books You've already sabotaged your potential by speaking and throwing negative energy into the ether. All words echo through dimensions that build or destroy. The victory garden is one acre. A typical house in the US is between 2 and 4 acres of land. However, if you think outside of the box, you can relocate to places that offer double the acre or more of land for the same currency.

Study the list...it is in alphabetical order. Odd isn't it that the crops yield absorption rate in order of the way the name is spelled in the English language? I think it can be explained as in haste to come up with content for the channel he erroneously put them in an order instead of just saying this is a list. Oats aren't even on the list of 11? Odd isn't it?
Many farmers spray Glyphosate on grain crops to kill them just before harvesting because it is easier on the farm machinery. THAT is absolutely heinous!
It is heinous that you would believe such a thing. Not sure where you got it from, but waiting for the field to be ready is a lot cheaper than running a sprayer out and then harvesting a week or two early. Nothing will prevent wear to harvesting equipment more than good maintenance and good operators
Also, why would they spray almond trees with RoundUp? A tree would not benefit from being sprayed with an herbicide. I have my doubts about that almonds entry in this list.
You don't spray trees with glyphosate it will kill them. He said glyphosate is a pesticide it isn't, its a herbicide. One kills insects the other plants. I cannot see how any fruit or nuts on a tree could have glyphosate residue.
I live in Indiana and have noticed that the whitetail deer will not even eat gmo corn anymore. Been hunting deer since the late 1970's, hunting along the edge of a freshly shelled cornfield in the 1970's,80's and thru the middle 1990's in the autumn was a gauranteed place to see deer feeding in the fields for hours. When no-till practices began being used more often with GMO grains is when I started noticing year after year that there were less and less deer feeding in those fields. Farming equipment/Combines became more efficient and dropped less corn in the fields was my first thought to my observations, but not the case. Last year my friend, who is a farmer had an issue with his combine settings and an entire 30 acre field was littered with whole ears of corn, lots of geese, lots of ducks, lots of squirrels eating the corn as I would sit in my hunting blind, but no deer feeding in it. Something is very wrong with that. Humans are expierncing health issues, like bloating severly after eating food made from grains, digestive issues, skin issues from inflammation ect. Something is up but the battle to go against big Ag and change things would be impossible to win.
Thank you Dr Berg. I wouldn’t have thought almonds would be on the top of the list. I would love to see people go back to growing some of their own food. No, it’s not easy but very rewarding.
This year I picked up truck load of free cow manure for my lawn. It worked perfectly on the grass. The worst part I also tilled half of it into my veggie garden, a big mistake. My garden hardly produced anything as most all of the leaves curled up and plants looked sickly. From what I gather the broadleaf herbicides in manure take at least three years to break down. Over winter I plan to remove the soil and use it to level the lawn then bring in new uncontaminated soil. BTW, Most commercial potting soils have contaminated manure in the mix.
Wheat and chickpeas (hummus products) too. Wheat has Roundup sprayed for weeds, then sprayed again to speed up the drying process after it's mature. Most grains get tons of Roundup spray. US Certified Organic may not always be 100% perfect, but it's safe to trust that it hasn't be treated with Roundup ; certified organic is much safer than not.
Important question: You listed these items alphabetically. Are they also listed in highest Glyphosate content to lowest? I want to know the top dangerous foods to avoid in order to get less Glyphosate intake, or preferably NO Glyphosate intake at all.
The stuff was created for clearing brush. It rots very nicely if the plants sprayed with it are allowed to decay. It wasn’t meant to be used around food crops. Nowadays it is, with or without resistant GMO crops
Okay, I’m calling bravo Sierra on this glyphosate stuff. I own and operate a 45 acre fruit orchard and I would like to know how apples are high In glyphosate??? I understand that crops like soybeans, wheat and corn are genetically modified to be resistant to glyphosate so other weeds in the crop can be killed. This is not the case with apples, cherries or peaches. If I apply roundup to my tree fruit in a manner that results in translocation of the herbicide into the tree, then my tree dies. It’s that simple. There is no possible way to have glyphosate in an apple without the tree dying. I assume the same is true for almonds although I don’t have direct experience with almonds. I have customers asking nonstop which of my crops I spray with Round-up. The answer, not a damn one of them because I don’t own a gallon of Round-up, given the risk of accidentally killing my orchard. I really like being asked this question by someone taking a long drag on a cigarette. Go figure.
Wheat ! What about Wheat? Glyphosate is sprayed on it near harvest, as a dessicant to dry the wheat kernal. Has the list changed since you posted it? It is May 11, 2023. Thanks loads !
Ummm hey doc... You forget all about grains? Cheerios has the most glyphosate of any food in the supermarket. Many grains are SOAKED with Roundup just before harvest to make all the grain turn brown and dry up faster and simultaneously !
I understood that glyphosate kills by binding up manganese. This blocks respiration. I have used cloves and they seem to counter the manganese deficiency. This makes breathing easier again for me.
How do you use cloves for this? I can actually tolerate them! I use a spot of clove oil on insect bites to stop the itch. Figure if it works on toothaches it might work on the skin. In some places they have convinced organic farmers to spray Roundup on the finished crop to make a guicker turnaround for the next crop . So the ingredients in Roundup are showing up in organic food also .
Not sure organic farmers - who have to go through rigid tests of soil, produce &/or animals - that can take years before they get their certificate...are then going to willingly dump pesticides/herbicides on their land. What testers are finding are glyphosphate on organic crops that have blown over from vast commercial farms that surround organic farms. Also some farmers are being penalised & pressured if they don't use Monsanto products. Monsanto have ruined many farming livelihoods who resist them. Monsanto needs to be stopped

Farmer here. Once a species becomes fully Round Up resistant ( such as the weed: Waterhemp ) Simply spaying more Round Up doesn't work, a different product or control method is required. The most likely way for Round Up to show up in cereal grains ( wheat, oats ) is when it is used to kill the crop ( and everything else ) shortly before harvest. I have a huge issue with this practice, and the chemical is not labeled for this use. When Round Up is sprayed on a corn or soybean crop for weed control, the crop is in the vegetative ( growth ) stage, and long before the grain seeds are forming.
well...what does that mean? ( When Round Up is sprayed on a corn or soybean crop for weed control, the crop is in the vegetative ( growth ) stage, and long before the grain seeds are forming.)

There are no GMO wheat varieties in the United States. This is nothing to do with glyphosate either, that would never have an effect on your gluten processing. Your problem is at the bakery level. They add gluten to bread here, while removing components of the wheat that have digestion aids in it. It is all about bread rise time. Don't blame the farmers when the video discusses something that could never contribute to your problem.
