This track did an AMAZING job representing how dreadful not only the fight is, but the entire journey. It's not enough that your son has passed away, but you are also forced to kill Megan, a little girl who didn't ask for any of this. Then you're stuck with an impossible choice between saving your son and beginning the cycle anew, or saying goodbye an letting the story end with you. And this piece perfectly encapsulates how you feel throughout.
When I first played the game, I just thought it was a survival type game and that was it. But as i got deeper into the game i realized how amazing the story was and how everything came together. Ps the animations are amazing.
@@heyjoji1954 still playing with my best mate, building bases, fighting, pushing back raids, exploring caves, raiding villages, laughing, raging, getting scared... Best game ever in my firm belief.
I know you wrote this a year ago but I know what you mean the tapes that you find around sound like music in the 80s and if feels like some stuff is 80dish so I get what you meant
@@glycerr4014 Some of the most famous songs ever written only have one or two chords/notes repeated. Whole lotta love by Led Zepplin has only two chords played throughout the song. So quite frankly, you’re the one who doesn’t know what they’re talking about.
I have gotten every achievement 3 times, once on PS4, once on PC and recently on the PS5 I beat the game over 23 times because god do I love this game, most of my dreams are about this game. I am so excited for Sons of The Forest.
In a game with little to no music what-so-ever, the second this theme kicked in, it reminded me of One Winged Angel from FF7. Epic and out of nowhere...
Just finished the game tonight and man. That was such an incredible boss fight with the most incredible and engaging music I’ve ever heard in a video game. I was sucked in the entire fight and was planning every move like I was actually there. Amazing job with the music man. I will never forget that moment.
I hope you're trolling because this game is one of the worst experience i've ever had, the game is bugged to the core and the combat system sucks ass. The final boss fight is bullshit and is shitty like the rest of the game.
@@glycerr4014 you just suck at the game, the forest is a cult classic. Sure it’s a little buggy but who gives a fuck. It’s a survival game, the combat isn’t meant to amazing, it’s meant to be slow and methodical
I think it adds that horror touch of not just having to fight monsters, but cannibal monsters, you’ve fought and scrounged for your survival on an island that every time you’ve turned your back you were jumped, then you have this exuberant story in these dark and menacing caves, leading to you finding your dead son, and you’re in a battle to sacrifice an innocent little girl to revive your child. It adds that touch of insanity and loss of reason, but you’re still focused on surviving. Extremely underrated soundtrack and game. Few more weeks for SOTF.
When I first entered the boss room I didn't see the little girl immedialty I was paying attention to the floor thinking something wanna gonna rise from it
I gotta say that this one track alone works and fits perfectly with not just the boss fight but the game as a whole. It's just so chilling when you hear that riff and in all honesty I think this game could make for a great monster/horror film adaptation. Honestly it really is underrated how well done this music is.
Now this is... Subject 0 my friend. She is the mother of cannibals and she may not look like it, she is queen of them and thus she is hard af.... LONG LIVE THE QUEEN
in the middle of the fight i was astonished by this song and i said in voice chat "this song is awesome!" meanwhile my friends were dying and running panickily yelling "THIS SONG IS TOO LOUD!!!" XD
I got my ass kicked by the boss and my friend comes in like Rambo and shoots her with fire arrows. He saves the day and we feel like we just got so destroyed that every second after the boss fight made us scared for what came next.
This gives me DOOM vibes and i love it and the game such an incredible story hidden behind a regular Survival sandbox really catches you off guard y'all did an amazing job with this can't wait to see what happens with Sons of the forest. : )
If games would be persons; Minecraft: always friendly, was always there in your childhood, sometimes a bit scary Battlefield: teaching you PTSD, but still always friendly The Forest: making you feel weird all the time by staring at you and whispering things, then punches you in the face at the end
Beautiful game in near every aspect. I love the story, the setting, the enemies and most of all the soundtrack, it is one of the few games that I have replayed more than once in it's entirety and I'm hoping sotf will be just as good once everythings all ironed out and completed
As soon as a large tentacle grew out of her mouth I literally ran back to the coffee machine I'm not sticking around to get helicopter'd by a 10 year old My mate wasn't so lucky I screamed like a 6 year old and my mum came charging into my room, I walked back and as soon as her spinning attack clipped through the wall on the stairs she just looked at me and said "Yeah good luck with that"
It is almost halloween, 2023. I just watched a bunch of the sleepy hollow movies (With the headless horseman) and now I want to rent a completely black horse and wear the most realistic (and I mean fucking realistic) headless horseman costume and ride around a place where a lot of people would go for a halloween event that has a historic backround. Say nothing, just the headless horseman and his steed clickin and clackin down the cobble road. All while getting a hidden speaker and playing this music...that would be so fucking badass. If anyone wants to do that, just tell people you got the idea from a guy online. 😎👍🗿
this is so cool i like how deep scary this track is, i still remember the first time when i saw that boss and how me and my friend was dying in there about million times on hard mode 🤣 now i think about a funky remake out of this music 🤔
Going to do a VR playtrough of the game during halloween with friends wish me luck, havent played the game since alpha release 😅 And this track bangs btw
This song makes me wish what I've frequently wished about this game - I wish you could dual-wield melee weapons. For a game that places such emphasis on melee combat, it's missing that. There are times when I just want to grab my axe and katana and just wade into a horde of cannibals.
