Japan declared war on Yugoslavia because the Yugoslav focus tree’s code doesn’t mention Italy or Germany, it mentions “fascist major” (with a preference to Germany and then I believe size), so if Germany and Italy aren’t fascist then a fascist major assumes their historical roles, and in your game it was Japan. Edit: I’m pretty sure it’s actually fascist faction leader, not fascist major.
I think The HRE was Holy as it's church and state wee tied quite closely, Just look at the Protestant reformation. The argument of it being Roman isn't the best I mean the Pope who wasn't even a part of Rome (Byzantium), which can be seen as a successor or just Rome continued after the fall of the Western half), If anything the Greeks and Italians have the strongest claim. and for it being an Empire I agree although it wasn't like the other traditional empires of the time with the whole Elector Princes and the fact most states were semi-autonomous and often had to be payed off in order to do what the elected Emperor wanted. I mean the 30 years war even before leaving the empire was more like a traditional war then a civil one.
It's incredibly rare, but the Netherlands can still say no when you have over 400K Manpower in the field. I was messing around, having fun as Germany, ready to bring Wilhem II back to power, and they said no.... 😐
If NL doesn’t feel intimidated (e.g. if you deathstacked Poland) they’ll possibly refuse even if your army is 1/5th of the Dutch population at that time.
hey can you do another joke in that exact same format for the trillionth time? i think it might even be more funny and its not at all insufferable seeing it everywhere on this hellish app
Give this man 60K subs ASAP! I think the lack of Alf Landon playthrough already had a drastic negative impact on my health and I wouldn’t want anyone to become its next victim…
Interesting thing I learned about this path, is that there's a decision about improving airplane quality/protocols/whatever. On the surface it looks godawful, increasing the production cost of every type of airplane by 10% for 1095 days, but it also decreases the chance of the Hindenburg burning. It's basically a failsafe to ensure the Hindenburg Incident.
I have a Idee for a play-through: how about a big campaign called Amazons in the Amazon? you would have to create a culture in ck3 that is a matriarchy and then in eu4 colonise Brazil.
Did this a few months ago while restricting myself to only building Civs, Infrastructure, and basically anything except Mils and Dockyards. Had the largest eco in the world by 1940, double of Britain and America by 44.
Thank you for showing me how to do that. I’ve been struggling on how to do it and I didn’t know if you went like a slightly alternative a completely alternative and I usually brought up like the Kaiser and then did something wrong. Thank you so much.
isp saying that the hre path doesn't get talked about, meanwhile i've seen maybe a dozen different videos going over it since it is the day 1 secret path
Does the bypass Rhineland and oppose Hitler exploit still work? That's definitely my favorite way to form HRE with both sides of the normally mutually exclusive paths unlocked
When i fall asleep, all i dream about is seeing ISP doing an Alf Landon Month challenge; for a month, a video every tot days, all of them somehow revolving about Alf Landon
If you delay the oppose moustache man Focus by 140 days the game stays historical. You can also use speedrun strats to cap the allies in late 1936 before changing to the empire. Then you have enough World tension to Do whatever you want and you don't have to fight the soviets early or rely on the french actually flipping which tends to not happen nowadays. And It's significantly faster obviously.
Both UK and France have some hard code in them that unless you preset them to Democratic, when Germany does something non-historical, they will go bananas on Historical.
ISP can you make a video on Carlist Spain? Saw few ppl actually playing it and i wanna hear with your own words that is not fun after conquering half of the world
Forming the HRE is definitely way more trouble then the return you get. Most of the land required to form it doesn't get cored, the BBA expansion with the change to paratroopers/transport planes really killed the good early game strats for forming before 1940, and the requirement of being part of the Allies really hamstrings your progress in unintuitive ways as shown in this video. Like, there isn't even an achievement for reforming the HRE like there is for many other formable nations! I'm so glad I made an effort to get to push the button at least once before BBA came out when you could get most of the land as the German Reich before going non-aligned.
Because it make sense that 1.) The powers that be and media would have admitted to and reported a near-disaster Hindenburg trip and 2.) The German royal family would have not known about that and gotten on board the ship after that...
I’ve always wondered: Why do you have to get Kaiserin Victoria III specifically in order to reestablish the HRE? Was the real Victoria famously fond of the HRE? Is it just because of the joke that her title is Victoria III, the fictional-when-this-was-added Paradox game?
