I find making assumptions comes from needing or wanting information or clarity when there is none. Or when the past has seemingly shown a pattern...but its still so important to communicate so you can fill in the mystery, if someone else is willing to be there with you and responds well etc. All so good to remember!

These are awesome fundamentals BUT, to make it full circle I’d add: *You’re the co-creator of your own reality. If something’s going wrong, do your best to understand how you participated in making that happen* . PS: I’m a Counselor and my job is to help people shifting their perspectives/life situations. I thought I’d say this because since you’re here you might be looking for someone like me. In that case, here I am 🙂 Have a blessed day you all 🙂🙏🏼💪🏼

care to explain how don miguel and all these "authors" gve half truths or bootleg masonic info without ever telling u the practical way to ground it into reality. I guarentee u, you Enrico, are smarter and more onpoint than some fat slob don miguel or insert random author. Although i gotta disagree with creating reality. A person in sudan who their parents were killed and has no food cannot simply imagine a better life. it does not work that way.
@Enrico_Fusai_Counselor
@Enrico_Fusai_Counselor 4 года назад
bigpun2k6 - Hey, thanks for your kind words 🙂 Also, I understand what you mean by that. There are some pretty disastrous situations out there and they’re definitively difficult ones. In that space though, coping with reality one moment at a time is all one needs really. And maybe, at some point, an idea about a tiny improvement can come... It’s not about solving it all at once, but having the desire to make an improvement happen and working for it. And at some point, the journey becomes the fulfilling part, as reaching goals come and go... Also, there must be some recognition of nature’s power and laws. We’re a particle of all of that and allowing ourselves to be humbled by that often times helps in relieving at least a bit our Spirit... Thanks again; I hope you’re well 🙏🏼

I remember hearing negative things about certain professors in college, then when I actually had one of them, the class was not that bad. You never know like those negative things could be those particular students just not putting forth effort and doing bad in the class and blaming the teacher. Made me think when I read the part about people's emotions dictating actions

Amazing like always keep it up! Two books I would recommend that I'm currently reading are Way of the superior man by David deida & of course The new Tony Robins book Both beautiful books so far, seems like you would like them comparing to the books you read and put up so far.
@FightMediocrity
@FightMediocrity 9 лет назад
IamCowMOOO Thanks! And The Way of the Superior Man is actually my favorite book ever. I'm pretty sure it was the first book I read. I'm definitely planning on making a video about it. I might do it in two parts, where I go into what it means to be masculine in the first place, and then how to be masculine with your woman. And I haven't read Tony's new book on money yet. Honestly, it's going to be hard for him to say something new that hasn't already been said, but I'm not going to say anything until I actually read it. Let me know what you think so far if you're reading it.
@XKingMGX
@XKingMGX 9 лет назад
FightMediocrity I was thinking the same thing for the Tony Robbins book, but its basically what i'm getting from it so far its a more modern day version of Think and Go Rich but he goes more into the science of making money. Also can't wait for the next video! Love seeing what some else got from a book compared to what i got.

How do you balance the 80/20 principle with always doing your best. 80% is pretty good, but it is not your best. In which cases do you consider those last 20% to get to "best" worthy it?
@ianinjapan2
@ianinjapan2 9 лет назад
+Alexandre Tunnermann If I understand the 80/20 principle correctly, it's not about performing at 80% of your capacity. I think it means that in most areas, 20% of the work can achieve 80% of the results. Meaning that if perfection is not that important in a certain area, it doesn't make sense to waste time trying to achieve that perfection: you can do many more things in your life to a Good Enough level with the time you save. For example, if you want to be a professional concert pianist (where perfection is important, perhaps), you might need to practice, say, six to eight hours a day. On the other hand, if you just want to play the piano really well, you could practice for, say, only one hour a day, and still get really good. And then you could use the other five to seven hours learning how to play other instruments too, and in a few years you could also be playing the guitar, etc., to really good levels as well. So in each area, 20% of the effort achieved 80% of the results, and in the end you're playing five instruments Really Well, instead of playing only one instrument "perfectly"... I really like this idea, and use it a lot in my life to try and maximize what I've got left of it (I'm already 50! ^o^ ) Have a great day! ^_^

1:35 THE FINAL AGREEMENT IS: ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST. Your best is going to change from moment to moment but under any circumstance, simply do your best. Nobody abuses us more than we abuse ourselves, but if we simply do our best, we can avoid all the unnecessary self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret. These are the four agreements that I constantly break, but when I do, I just say, “Okay, I broke the agreement of being impeccable with my word. I will start all over again
@jeananderson6864

Does the book say what (is supposed to) happen if you follow the four agreements? Like.. the other side of the bargain? "If you follow these four agreements then..."
@FightMediocrity
@FightMediocrity 9 лет назад
***** Your life will be so much better. My favorite agreement is the first one. I've basically completely taken out complaining and criticizing out of my life, and it is crazy how much better your life can be. I mean you shouldn't even have time for that. Look at your Facebook news feed. Everybody's complaining about everything. How do people even have time for that? Look at videos on RU-vid, people criticizing everything. Where do they get the time? I mean I'll watch a video from time to time that I don't like, but I just don't have the time to criticize or complain. I'm doing better things with my life like taking care of myself, reading books, spending time with the people that I love. If most people just tried to work on the first agreement, their life could be so much better.

How can you advise to never take anything personally? Some comments received are meant to be personal and are taylor fitted to your own persona. For example, if I ask my friend for honest criticism and he politely says that he feels I am sometimes too quiet, why should I not take that personally and try to self-improve. I feel that there is some desecration to be applied here instead of a blanket MO of never taking anything personally. Please elaborate.

+Dan Safdie Lets say someone insults your mother... What it usually means is that their mother treats them in a way which they don't like. Or lets say they make fun of your hairstyle looks or so on. What it really means is that they're disappointed in the way they look. See a 'projection.'

E FIRST AGREEMENT. Stop gossiping, complaining, and criticizing Your word is one of the most powerful tools you have. When was the last time you used it to bring someone up instead of gossip? When was the last time you used it to put value out into the world instead of complaining and criticizing the person who didn’t? Practice being impeccable with your word. THE SECOND AGREEMENT IS: DON’T TAKE ANYTHING PERSONALLY. Imagine a person who hates books watches one of my videos. What’s his comment going to look like? Now imagine that same person in two years; this time he’s gone through a major life transformation and loves reading books. What’s his comment going to look like now? But, notice how my video is the same in both cases. How people treat you is a projection of who they are. That is why it doesn’t make sense to ever take anything personally. THE THIRD AGREEMENT IS: DON’T MAKE ASSUMPTIONS. If you’re in a leadership position, you will lose all respect when something doesn’t get done the way it’s supposed to, and instead of having the courage and skill to communicate, you just assume things and start treating people like trash . If you had asked, who knows, you might have actually found out that the person is going through a divorce and your little task isn’t really his number one priority right now Build up the skill and the courage to communicate, and you will easily turn hatred towards you into loyalty and respect. THE FINAL AGREEMENT IS: ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST. Your best is going to change from moment to moment but under any circumstance, simply do your best. Nobody abuses us more than we abuse ourselves, but if we simply do our best, we can avoid all the unnecessary self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret These are the four agreements that I constantly break, but when I do, I just say, “Okay, I broke the agreement of being impeccable with my word. I will start all over again. Today I will be impeccable with my word, I will not take anything personally, I will not make assumptions, and I will do my best.”
