you mean SIDE MIRRORS not rear view mirror,🤔...adjustments will come naturally for driver's comfort views and feels....still EXPERIENCE is the best learning process, simple as that.😎
Do not adjust your mirrors to the door handle. You don't need to see you car, adjust them to be just after you can't see you car anymore and you will have the better view possible
I actually adjust the mirrors of my van the same way. Gives a better view when backing up. My van does have huge mirrors so I don't compromise on road view.
i dont understand, that would be a really weird angle to look outwards? isnt it useful to be able to see close to your car? i always set my mirrors up with a bit of my car peeking through, but i do drive in a smaller city and park in tight places often..
@@ezodragon if you can see just the edge of car ,it is still fine but in this video he sees both doors which is too much. it should also look straight but his mirros looks down.
Everything is based on your judgment and experiences. You cannot directly say that the position of the right bumper will be 10cms far. Of course it can be right to some extent but it's not always necessary that the driver is driving the same sedan he/she may have different cars and has set their seats based on their preferences. Some of the principles should be taken care of while taking front judgement or any judgement while parking your car but the way you said the length will be 10cm is surely a bummer.
The "split mirror" tip is ok BUT there is still a BLIND SPOT on either side mirrors. It is when the vehicle on either side's front end is right behind the driver's back. The ONLY way to be able to see this spot is by pasting a small convex mirror on the far end of the sideview mirrors. These are sold at automotive accessories stores 😁
I think it's either a mistranslation or just straight up confidence from the video poster. But, the taller you are the bigger the gap. If the bonnet is a bit longer and/or one are on the shorter side, if thre is practically no gap left it could suggest a poor seating position. You could consider raising the seat height, or you could be slouching or reclining too much. If it's a sports car you just have to live with it. Most of the time their visibility is average at best.
Do not do the half mirror trick, for the love of God. That will get you rear ended or cutting someone off so quickly. Only go when it is clear, the vehicle isn’t traveling fast, or just DRIVE AND GET EXPERIENCE.
"4 magical uses of rearview mirror" 1. First, do not judge the distance between the front of the car and the curb when parking. We stare at the left mirror, when the lower edge of the rearview mirror coincides with the upper edge of the curb. The distance is exactly 10cm. 2. Second, adjust the door handle of the left front door to the lower right corner of the left rearview mirror. Adjust the door handle of the right front door to the lower left corner of the right rearview mirror. At this time, whether it is looking at the roadside steps or the car coming from behind, it is the best view. 3. Third, when the front of the car goes out of the warehouses. When the rearview mirror is aligned with the front of the car next to it, you can drive out in whatever direction you want. 4. Four, we split the rearview mirror into two. It is safe to change lanes or make U-turn, when the behind vehicle is on the right half. When it appears on the left half, it means that the car behind is very close to you, so don't change lanes!
I don't have a car but I started watching these kind of shorts more often.. 😂 However I think these thing gives you general idea about where to look at but one should keep in mind own car size like a sedan or hatchback or xuv.
Is every mirror in the same place in relationship to your eyes? Is every mirror in the same relationship to the rear door handles on every car? Great hints for one car and one driver of a specific height with the seat adjusted a certain way.
This only works if youve done the measuring yourself and confirmed it, and never change the position of your mirrors, seat, backrest, headrest, or head when youre sitting in a car. Also that last one, if theres a car in your mirror, its too close to u-turn then lol.
You used to be able to do things like this with the hood ornament back in the days of hood ornaments. You could just your cars position relative to stoplines and the like by aligning the hood ornament with the markings on the road.
A little concerned from which country these tips are coming from, considering the huge amount of car accident videos that show up from this unknown source. (Pro tip: check the car's licence. )
Gr8 tricks bro. Thank you for your knowledge. Even if our car or driver position is different then we can make our own assumptions or calculations. Atleast this guy gave us some ideas to think. Now we can find our own ways. Thank you 🙏
"... All of these tips work 100% of the time*..." * If you are driving the exact same car, with the driver's seat in the exact same position, and the tires the exact same size on the same rims inflated to the exact same pressure, and you are exactly my height and exactly the same bodily proportions, and your vision is exactly the same as mine and your dominant eye is the same as mine, and the scope of your peripheral vision is also the same as mine, and dozens of other possible variables are not present at the time you are in your car. Good luck!!!
Not all kerbs are the same height though. Once a car park or road has been resurfaced it will change. Not all car mirrors are equal distance from the ground. Not all drivers sit at the same height. Such a silly thing to recommend. Not been thought through fully.
