1:41 Actually no, they were already scrambled from the Middle Ages, only finally getting fully organized with the Weimar Republic's state borders (especially in Thuringen), the introduction of the Reichgau by the Nazis and the current states in Germany. Napoleon actually paved the way for clearing things up by establishing the Confederation of the Rhine, which organized the tiny states into a united (although French-dominated) state. Also at 5:07 Hitler didn't become chancellor through a coup, they were elected into power and the president Paul von Hindenburg out of fear made Hitler chancellor. Then when Hindenburg died in 1937, Hitler merged the title of President and Chancellor into Fuhrer, becoming the sole leader of Germany. He then in 1935, abolished all current German states, including the Free State of Prussia, and replaced them with Reichgau, which marked the end of Prussia. After the war, with half of Prussia expelled of their ethnic German inhabitants, the Allies formally abolished Prussia in 1947 for (ideological purposes, pointing to it as the cause of German aggression. Otherwise I like this video! Keep it up man!

I have been thoroughly humbled on my own channel! Really though, I'm glad you pointed these out. I swear I knew most of that, but I think my sources got mixed up and some of my script got lost in translation. I had planned on putting in a section about the Confederation of the Rhine, seeing that it was one of the earliest actually-unified German "states" (states in air quotes). However I left it out mostly because I was far more concerned with the transition from the traditional medieval states you mentioned into organized states in a republic (Conf. Rhine/German Conf./Empire). That was totally my fault. Thanks for the corrections, my good sir. Edit: I should also mention that when I said coup, I was referring to the fake transition of power in Prussia individually that led Hitler to power, not a physical coup installing him in power. This was still in the phase where Hitler was running politically (pre-1933) so he didn't physically do a coup, but it was in essence a sudden transition of power installing him as chancellor.

I am trying to continually increase my video and mic quality (even I don't like my voice in these!), so any engagement is always valued. Things might be slowing down now that I am focusing on schooling, but I am always trying 😊

I try to make my videos over 10:00 (not for ads but because I want them to have some meat on their bones), but it's an imperfect world. And yes, I do plan on going a bit controversial. @@buildtools9268 As is the case for most, I'm *hoping* it will be at least 10 minutes. Realistically, though, it may be around 8 or more. My forté isn't really alternative history, so I'm only using real-life plans the Axis made when their domination finally came, so it may be a bit shorter since that pool of information isn't exactly abundant. I don't dip into the alternate history side of RU-vid all that much, but I believe that speculative fiction is an important part of real history so we know the real impacts of our actions.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS VIDEO HAS OVER 1,000 VIEWS!! I never thought I'd get this many! It's a shame this video is my most popular since I've gotten better at making videos and figured out better audio and editing. There's nothing I can do to fix it though, so enjoy. It goes without saying some of my research was a bit squinty but I also use hyperbole for the goofs...Thank you y'alls so much!!!! Sorry for the krinj audio, I was consuming a Werther's Original lol
