Yes, Henderson is harsh on Anya because she's at the bottom ring on her studies, but he will always stand up to her when it matters the most because he appreciates Anya's other good qualities, the reasons she was admitted in the first place.

To add to that, a good indicator of when someone is thinking instead of speaking is that the font will be italicized!

True, and even if he would have said briefing, remember that he works at a hospital. So a briefing about changes to the building, rules or a hundred other things could certainly take place and require him to go.

​@Mis7erSeven It's not that people can't accept it, it's because it was set up that way in episode one. Anya, unprompted (at least verbally), said she was six and stood on her toes to appear taller when Loid thought to himself about the minimum age of Eden students, Anya's height and age, and how she might not work for the mission. This implies that he was right and she was lying to get adopted. This was a way to set up the fact that she was a telepath, she lies and manipulates, and why she struggles so much more then the other students when it comes to school work, studying and things like that. She's literally 1-2 years younger than them, and at those ages, that makes A LOT of difference academically, not even considering the fact that she may just not learn well in that kind of environment or with that teaching style. Anya's not opposed to lying and has done so all throughout the series weather to get her way with things, to help out Loid when he does his spy stuff, or even (spoilers for Sarah in case she's reading this. Turn back now) or even when she lied to Yor about being kidnapping during the penguin/ aquarium episode. Episode one sets it up and the others follow suit. Edit: that also doesn't even consider the fact that other characters comment on how young she looks, specifically other kids like Damien and his cronies and Becky in her mind during the opening ceremony. If even 6 year olds can look at a kid and realize she looks a little young compared to them, it's safe to say she's probably younger by at least a year as said by Loid in Ep.1.

I think the rich legacy kid with hangers-on is just a staple of school stories, especially with boarding schools or elite academies like Eden.
