I just got the Magnoli Spectre polo. Definitely is a very tight fit. I’m 5’10” 175 with an athletic build and usually go with a medium, sometimes large. Had to size up twice and wear an xl. Other than figuring out the correct size, the shirt is amazing looking and very high quality for $50. I do agree the bicep fit is a fraction lower than ideal, but still higher than crappy golf polos. My new favorite James Bond clothing item I own.
Dave - - thanks for all your work and insight. I had this Magnoli shirt for a while. Recently I got an authentic pre-owned Tom Ford shirt. It was a little large because the seller made a mistake on the measurement, but I decided to keep it anyway, and hope I can go to the gym and increase my size. Anyway, I got my sewing machine set up, and having the authentic shirt helped me to figure out how to fix the placket from popping out. I simply cut the excess off at angles, which left two flaps. Can sew the flaps together, and voila, a much better shirt. Stitching doesn't have to be perfect because the stitching is on the inside, and the gap between the pecs allows space for the placket, so imperfections don't show. Apologies, I make it sound easy, but I dont have pics just now, and not sure if I can post pics, but consult your local tailor.
Just ordered mine from Indy David. Great price, and I already have a few pieces from him and really appreciate the quality. Whenever you speak to him again, see if he will give The Bond Experience a discount code for orders. Regards
What annoys me with these cheaper versions is that they are never equal in quality. I want comparable quality, minus the insane fashion brand price. We know we can get shoes in similar or even better quality for less than half the price of Tom Ford shoes. We need to have the clothes, also. Say, a £200-300 polo that is equal or even better in terms of the quality.
I bought the Magnoli polo shirt, and got it shipped to Italy. It's really worth it. Beautiful piece of clothing. I changed my mind on the size after seeing this video and took L instead of M. I did well as they're extremely tight fitting.
hi, could you do a video bodyweight workout routine? Though I have access to a gym I don't have enough time to go to the gym and usually end up doing a workout at home. thanks.
Very cool videos. Inspired me to take look at my wardrobe, and just keep solid items that will combine well with othets. Although I do not have these brand names yet.
I understand you are paying for quality and I don't mind spending a little extra to get something that's going to last because it will actually save you In the long run. BUT DEAR LORD lol 960$ for a polo is crazy haha
Thanks I located the site through crafty Googling. Forgive me for just stating something negative and not saying, I love what you are doing here and as a bond fan I am finally subbing to your youtube channel. I have followed you on IG for awhile, but I never knew full what you were doing until today.
Hello David, Great Vlog by the way. i'm looking at ordering from Magnoli so looking back at some of your old videos. i see you've gone with large on a lot of the items from them instead of a medium. I was going to go with small but after watching your videos may go for a medium now. I just wanted to ask Your height...i'm a similar build to you but only 5ft 6 so wasn't to sure if the medium would be the right fit. Any help would be great. Thank you
I'm a big fan of your channel, and I love these episodes where you talk about the frugal approach to the Bond Lifestyle! Something I'd love to see is an approach to talking about some of the clothes and styles that Bond wore in the original Ian Flemming novels, and maybe do a frugal video on that, or just a video in general! Keep up the good work, look forward to new videos!
Not really a fan of this polo design. The riviera polo is THE Bond polo in my book. I ordered the spectre turtleneck from magnoli and hopefully it lives up to the original look wise.
I've always found cotton/poly blends to be sweaty and uncomfortable, they also look too shiny, like an UnderArmour garment. Agree that the Tom Ford version, although much nicer, is insanely priced.
His name's Bond, James Bond! Or is it? He certainly models himself on Daniel Craig. As an American, shouldn't he be trying to be Felix Leitner? Or is it Leiter? Let me know.
