hello there,
In today's video, I would like to talk about my further experiences and insights that I have had with the Fujifilm XS20 in the last two months. I'll also show you a few "real life" pictures that I took spontaneously today during the video. For me, I have now found the perfect sport for the Fuji Xs20, among my other equipment.
How does it look for you? Are you still thinking about buying it? What are your experiences with this camera?

Brother, I really liked this video. I love your personality and the way you express yourself. My x-s20 is arriving today, I'm excited. I was torn between this camera and the x-t5. Maybe I'll upgrade later but for now, this one will do. New sub! Cheers!

Just traded some old gear to get one! Should be here next week and it'll be replacing my x100v and serve as a proper B-cam to my XH2-S :)

Lovely photos and discussion. I bought the X-S20 6 months ago for videos but I do agree that the photo quality is excellent. The portability for a hybrid shooter is outstanding.

For photography on static subjects, this camera is amazing with its image stabilization. I do have a pretty steady hand but in comparison to my xt30ii, the xs20 i can get static subject perfect sharp photos at 1/2 second handheld, on the xt30ii with no ibis, i could not go lower than 1/30th on a 23mm lens. it is such an amazing camera for the money, good autofocus(i would say on par with my a7iii).

Enjoyed your video. I may have to add this camera to my Fuji collection. Fuji cameras are all pretty amazing in their own way. Germany in December is my favorite place to visit with all the Christmas Festivals and activity. The german people are awseome. I am a Fuji photohrapher located in the Los Angeles area.

yeah man, i just found your channel. really cool. nice work. i used prosumer gear all through my career doing video and stills, and now i've be worrying about which way to go for a new hybrid. i've been tempted by the alien overlord sonys (a6700) with the killer robot autofocus, but my heart tells me to sell both my x100s and get one of these. i think you've helped me make up my mind. subbed!

Your thumbnail says it all - one happy camper. When a camera is part of you the fun begins. Read about the snow in Germany - can be a challenge to photograph; some of the snow images were underexposed (grey snow) - would have been I better, IMO w/added exposure compensation (try 1/2 to one stop more while the snow is still around.😊) Markets are wonderful for photos. Love the color night images. Suggestion: number photos to encourage viewer comment. Cheers!

thank you so much for your feedback paul! i definitely will try it out. problem was i was nearly blind as the snow was so light and the sun was also shining very bright haha. also i was shooting very… well…. “1 shot” style. really appreciate your tips :) when shooting with the fuji i feel like a small kid, shooting with my canon like a grandpa :D

❤ looove the pictures. And your enthusiasm boit this camera. So much to learn. How much was this camera. Cuz what mostly discourages me from using my Canon more often is that it is dated and heavy 😢. Did i say that the pictures looked gorgeous? I sadly always missed winter in Munich while i was there. Anyways winter in Dresden is sweet too

I just have 2 tiny questions: 1. you did the video shooting with the x-s20 too, right? 2. if so, did you use an extern mic or is the sound quality also from the build-in mic of the x-s20? hi there :) really appreciate your feedback and kind words! To answer your questions: 1. Yes i did shoot the video with the xs20, 4k/25p 2. Yes it is the internal microphone. I was pretty impressed today with it to be honest. Do you think it sounds good? Best wishes from munich :)

Yeah the sound is damn good. Just like the Image is blurring your background and focusing and clearing your face the microphone focuses your voice before the background noise. You can hear this especially when you're on the winter market. It's great! Did you used the same lens for the video as for shooting the pictures? What lenses would you recommend for a good starter kit for like all rounding? I just decided to buy a x-s20 with a 15 - 45mm lens for my first camera. I am studying media design and was looking for exactly this combination of simplicity for beginners and complexity for pros, so I could get a beginner friendly pro camera. xD Fits perfect and I can't wait for the package to arrive!

Hi Markus, thanks for this video and for your simplicity, which I really appreciate. I also have an XS20 that I've just bought, but in Canada it's already cold and I don't dare use it in the extreme cold. How does this camera react below zero Celsius? Do you take any special measures? Thank you and best wishes for the upcoming Christmas season.

hi mario :) you are very welcome! I am so happy to read a comment from Canada! Today was -10 in Munich. I had this camera out for 1 hours straight ( for the video and for taking the shots), it didnt have ANY issues. I can´t say how it will behave when it will be colder than that. It may be a difference if it is a more "wet cold" with high humility, today is was a very clear and crystal cold. I hope this was helpful :)

@mariolemay1145 I am from Winnipeg and have been using Fuji cameras for more than 10 years. Don’t worry about the cold. It will reduce your battery life but that’s it. Cold hands not working are a much bigger issue for me.

Are you still experiencing overheating issues with this camera, or did changing the settings help with that? I'm hoping to be able to use it for streaming in addition to casual photography and don't want to run into issues with that! Thanks

I bought the XS20 last week to replace my Fuji XT2. I also have an Olympus OMD EM1 II and I have to say that the IBIS in the XS20 is terrible compared to my old OMD. Appreciate the sensor is smaller in the Olympus but I have been able to hand hold t slow shutter speeds. No so with the Fuji.

Hi Markus, ich bin am Überlegen ob ich mir auch diese Kamera kaufen soll. Hab aber schon mehrfach gelesen , das Fuji Probleme mit dem Autofokus hat. Was sagst du dazu ?

hi grüß dich ! im Großen und Ganzen ist der Autofokus wirklich super. Ich habe bemerkt, wenn mehrere Menschen im Bild sind, dann kann es schon schwierig werden, vor allem, wenn man eben Gesichtserkennung oder Augenerkennung anhat. Selbst wenn ich dann auf ein bestimmtes Gesicht per Touch fokussieren möchte, springt der Fokus oft hin und her oder wieder zurück auf ein anderes Gesicht. Sport oder bewegte Tiere habe ich bisher noch nicht ausprobiert, möchte ich aber demnächst machen. Wenn die Kamera nicht total über deinem Budget ist, kann ich sie dir nur empfehlen, sie ist wirklich ein tolles Ding!
