I saw this line up and, when I did, I felt like they had captured lightning in a bottle and shared it with the audience. Who knows...if the name thing with Jim hadn't become a problem maybe this line up would still be touring. I always thought Bill and Donnie brought something to the band that had been missing. To me, this line up is the real Guess Who.

Very good points. The other band under Gary Peterson that calls itself the Guess Who clearly isn't and has none of the musical dynamics or distinct sound that the band had through its different iterations from 1965 to 1975. I think Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings are right to sue and hope they win. Even if they don't, long standing fans know who the real Guess Who is. .

@seamusin1697 I have no issue with cover bands and tribute bands. But don't pretend to be the original. I wouldn't see the "new" Guess Who if they paid me. But if they called themselves a tribute band I would. It's about honesty and integrity

@@Guy-kn6jt I agree. I know some might consider this sacrilege, but I am more partial to Kurt's playing than Randy's. That being said, Randy is still a very accomplished artist in his own right.

I was there and this was a highlight of the show. You can't really tell from the video but the crowd went absolutely nuts when they played TCB. The performance was second only to AC/DC that night.

I agree. Next to AC/DC, they were the best part of that day--and I say this as a Rush fan. The problem with Rush was that this was not their "crowd". These were drunk party people wanting party songs, on a hot day.

@@maestri09 I'm a hardcore Rush fan too. Rush played well, but not the best I had seen them. I believe they were all on vacation and got called together to do the gig. I will say this, it was more of a Rush crowd than a Timberlake crowd!

I was a massive AC/DC fan and a big Rush fan so this was one of the sets I was sort of looking past. I regret not appreciating it more then

I was there too.. I was right in the middle of the pack.. The entire day started off very docile... boring even.. It took the Guess Who to get the crowd fired up.

You see this Gem and ask, ‘What If?” Imagine if Randy had stayed and TCB was a Guess Who Tune?

A supplement to my last comment: What a great performance on guitar playing!!!!! Randy Bachman's guitar playing is underrated!!!!!!! And Burton Cummings is underrated as a rhythm guitar player!!!!!!!
